Since it seems a hot topic and Italy being the number one destination for American travelers, I thought I would share everything I ate for 9 days (actually not everything but I’m sharing all of my documented meals during my October trip to Milan, Lake Como, Florence, Tuscany with a little St. Moritz thrown in for good measure.

hey everyone we’re back with what I ate in a week in Italy please like And subscribe and leave me a comment so this was a deep dish pizza that we had in the Chicago airport before we took off so not really Italy but italish so first we went to Kom which is uh part of Lake KO it’s a city KO City and we stayed at the Sheridan Lake Como there and we walked to this restaurant that was the Veo tabano restaurant as it was across from the veio tavano and just a beautiful pizza with some peruto and they don’t cut it and this is Como in the morning we went over to catch the fairy and we went to McDonald’s because we were running late and we just needed a quick something before we got on the fair and we went to McDonald’s because it was fast and you could get a croissant so that’s what we did um and we missed the fairy so we went to walk around and look at all the beautiful sites and Como and there’s a really beautiful Gothic Cathedral there that’s free to enter this is a Scot sandwich on scata bread with salami and art chokes and cheese and it was delicious doesn’t look as good as it tasted and here’s the line for the fairy so we went to Bellagio next so Bellagio was really fantastic except that there’s a lot of going up steps um they have steps every every so often and it’s like a mall going there shops all the way up the steps and halfway up we saw a sign that said wine tasting and we went in here and you just got a card and there’s machines that dispense all the different types of wine and it was fantastic here I am just proud of myself for making it up the steps so we just wandered around in Bellagio and then we went over to the Grand Hotel for apertivo didn’t know that they were going to give us all these snacks which was really great and we just wanted a drink and it was a beautiful place to have a cocktail and just beautiful ceilings artwork everywhere so next we caught the fery to Areno which is a beautiful little village and we went to the cafe Columbo and we had apptivo and all of that you see on that platter was complimentary um I tried a Hugo Spritz which is different from an apparal Spritz with the use of St Germain so for dinner we went to Lao Lake comoo and beautiful little restaurant lokanda cantier I think it was called and this was local fish from the lake and this was a steak that my husband ordered really yummy delicious restaurant with a nice view and this was a lemon cello sorbet that my friend insisted that I get because it was my birthday and I was so full but I could take a few sips of the lumon cello anytime so the next day for breakfast our hotel didn’t have breakfast so we went over to the supermarket and they had a cafe in there and we went over there we didn’t realize it we were just going to buy snacks for the train and this is what we got it was delicious um that’s a salmon sandwich excuse me so next we got on the train to go to Florence and we had a first class ticket on Italo that’s a train line and they gave you little cookies and a little cup of your soft drink of choice and this was our hotel the B&B deffy right around the corner from the duo and this was when you came around the corner this was the view we got was amazing so we went there right there on our way to go to dinner that first night in Florence which is pronounced foren in Italian so we had dinner at teria Zaza this was my favorite restaurant of the whole trip I really loved it the decor was really nice very eclectic um we had this sorted BR Brisa with chicken levers and mushrooms and tomatoes and a pasta with bologan sauce was our pasta course and I got the noi with tomato sauce um for the main course my husband had ve it had tomatoes and potatoes and I got steak topped with mushrooms and that was really good and I love arugula so that’s my favorite green and arugula is everywhere in Florence they serve it with everything so it’s really nice it’s all the fresh greens You Don’t See Much Roma around there but that was fine with me and then we had vivoli gelato assorted gelato for dessert we were so full so the next morning we we went to we went to the um dwo we had tickets to go inside the dromo we did not climb the dome which a lot of people do you can also climb that Bell Tower you just saw but we didn’t do it you can’t see from this video how oh for some reason the top is cut off on this video but it is such an amazing Cathedral and that was some J a I got which was I went to the wrong place so this was a wine tour we went on in Tuscany and it was in the keante region and they also did they did wine tasting and olive oil tasting so that was really nice and the second place we went to was great the pagio torelli I forgot the name of it but it was just such a classic Tuscan Villa it was beautiful and we got these nice snacks with our different wines that we got to taste so that was kind of like our lunch that day it was really nice our hotel had breakfast every morning there’s more scenery um so we went to and when we got off the bus we went to the marato cic it’s a big dining hall in the mornings they have a vegetable market on the first flooor and in the evenings it’s the dining hall that’s open and just all kinds of stuff and I wanted to try the fresh truffle pasta which was very delicious um so the next morning we went over to the acadamia to see the statue of David I was more impressed with the other Statue unfinished works of art from Michelangelo we got caught in the rain so we ducked into this place and to get drinks and uh when we were ready to leave they gave me this Giant drink for a goco um so that night we went to the Alano neighborhood um we had to come here right here to catch a taxi it was actually on the other corner and that’s where you catch taxis the taxis they have taxy stands in different areas so uh the restaurant we were going to wouldn’t didn’t have our reservation so we had to go to a different place and we went to this bar while we were waiting for our new reservation and it was just very eclectic and fun and we really enjoyed it we had I had a rosé my husband had a Kean he drank Kean the entire time and they give you these little crackers which I don’t really like very much but we were going to have a spectacular dinner and we made a friend this dog just came into the bar and hung out with us so our dinner was at Tratoria pandemonia and we had Florentine steak which i’ had been waiting to try which was really fantastic and we needed a vegetable right so we got fried zucchini really yummy got needed a vegetable and then we had tiasu for dessert because why not we had to get try it in Italy and they brought us lemon cello so the next day we skipped breakfast and we went straight to the UI Gallery cuz I had to see the Bellis I am a belli fanatic I took a picture of every single one and I have a video that I’ll link to all the Bellis that I saw while I was in Florence they’re at more places than just thei and this was the Santa croche Cathedral um and we did some something special that was right behind here right behind there there’s an ancient leather school right here is a statue of Dante so there’s a lot of stuff about Dante but you go in the squal squala I don’t know how to say it um but you got to walk through the back Gardens of the Santa croche Cathedral and you had to go up the staircase to get in there and it’s all these handmade leather because they have all these leather markets these outdoor stalls but they’re all from China but this is stuff that is made right here in Italy and it was just an amazing place it had um Fresco on the ceilings it was you could see all the They there weren’t any workers in there when we went because it was a Sunday so we didn’t get to see them actually working but most of the time you can go and you can see them working and I’m just showing you this because it’s something that you shouldn’t Miss if you’re in uh Florence and it’s free it’s free to go in there the prices are quite high but you know you get what you pay for and it was really fantastic so there I’m just showing you the different workspaces um in the leather school and then they are to buy things and there’s jackets handbags belts um coin purses just any leather product that you would want so we came out of there and we had lunch at this little Pizzeria we had wine and of course we got I was so in love with the chicken liver pate that we had to order some more brusketta that is a proper pronunciation and we got that and then we got some gelato because we hadn’t had enough good gelato so then we went to the train station and I had to try the Panzerotti from McDonald’s I know I sound crazy to go to McDonald’s in Italy but we bought wine for the train and then we hopped on the train to go to Milan and we came out at the Milano Cal and our hotel was just steps away so we went right into our hotel and we had this package deal that was just great with our American Express we went to the uh top floor this is a fourstar hotel um and we just ordered appetizers for dinner so we had the p and this was the breakfast which was included in our package and it was amazing every morning you could have cook to order eggs you could uh they could cook lots of things to order for you and they had the really nice um all the different prutas they had the thing where you where they’ll cut it you know it was really that was the bottom of it so I guess I didn’t show it in this video but uh lots of fruit just anything you could want if had um these are lots of yogurts and different things like that you know the Italians they eat pastries for breakfast um so they don’t eat all the things that Americans eat but we do like our American breakfast so I got salmon almost every morning they had these wonderful fresh breads that you could just slice off a piece if you wanted they also had pancakes and waffles bows and miniature jars of Nutella um they had different Little P packaged pastries that you could just take with you I guess or just eat there and what else did they have let’s see they were juicing orange juice right there so oh here’s an egg station um there’s a lot of things that were like um an English breakfast type thing um things to choose from you could always ask the waiter I wouldn’t go for those eggs that were already cooked but you could ask the waiter and they would bring you eggs but those were actually really delicious scrambled eggs so that’s what I got um the first day we had this we were there for three days three nights I think so we had breakfast three times and it was always fantastic best breakfast uh Buffet I think I’ve ever had and see they even had American cereal which was pretty cool and cookies these were like brownie cookies um there was no way we could try everything because just couldn’t fit but we ate had such big breakfast that we didn’t really need lunch each day so that worked out pretty good so just showing you like a juice bar where they actually juice the oranges every day and there’s my cappuccino and my big giant plate breakfast plate which was fantastic so we took a little detour from uh Italy and we took a tour that brought us to the Bernina Express in St meritz we got on the on the train in St meritz and rode back and that was just the dinner uh a little Pizzeria we found so when we came back for dinner we had we found a little neighborhood place that we went to that had uh the seafood platter with these whole fried fish which I really didn’t like very much but that pizza was fantastic and it was right around the corner from the exceler which was just such a great place and we were back to the train station to take the train to the airport so please comment
