[Music] Carnival foren is Carnival’s newest Italian style ship and we were recently on board for a five night Mom andon cruise to celebrate Andrew’s graduation from high school in this video we will tour this beautiful vessel sample some of the delicious food including the new burgers at gburger joint as well as the new Italian style restaurant EV AIO and we participate in one of the funnest right guys good morning I’m R from image Family Adventures and I have Andre Andrew and we are preparing to board another cruise ship so um this is Cruise number 5503 52 for me my 52nd Cruise Andrew’s probably 24 25 Cruise um but as you see we’re standing here we’re in the Port of Long Beach but this is not the cruise ship that we’re going on behind us is the Queen Mary we are boarding Carnival Fen which is over here over there and um this is Carnival’s newest ship so we’re here in California we’re going to board but the reason I’m here in front of Queen Mary is the last couple of times that we um cruise out of Long Beach it can be quite congested going into the cruise terminal um with all of the Ubers and different things the last time we were here was a month and a half ago and we waited a good 30 40 minutes for for our Uber and then when we were getting to the terminal we were in line for a good 20 25 minutes so to avoid that um I Heard a trick about you know scheduling your Uber to drop off at the Queen Mary and just walk it so that’s what we’re doing guys and it is literally right there so if you want to save time I would recommend doing this I’m going to show you guys how to walk over there just to save time don’t have to deal with the traffic and then when we get off the cruise ship we’re probably going to do the same thing um so we’re not having to wait especially if you have an early flight and I do not recommend booking a flight before 12:30 um here in California because you’re going to wait you’re going to be in traffic so um but we’re here we are preparing to board Carnival Fen which again is Carnival’s newest ship it’s an Italian style ship so super excited for that I was on Carnival vencia um with um my other son our other son dice back last year actually for its us and ARL sailing so be sure to check that out the ship is very very similar to that um but we’re about to board so we’re going to walk right over there to the terminal which is in that little Dome and we’re going to be [Music] boarding all right so just to show you again there’s the Queen Mary we walked just a few steps and there’s the cruise terminal we’re here and it looks like they might have already opened for us to come in um but we’re going to go check out this garage situation so all of the cars that come through have to go to the parking garage and that’s where the congestion lies with the Ubers and people loading and unloading so let’s check that out real quick all right so these are all the people getting off the cruise um ship so this is where usually it’s pretty congested because it’s like you can only it’s very small parking garage and all cars have to go through it so what happens is Uber stop to let people load and so there’s a line going all the way down the street so this is why that trick might work it worked for us so we’ll see what happens when we get off the ship and I don’t recall seeing this little kiosk here the last time we were here looks like you can grab some shirts um hats sunglasses different things so I wonder if that’s new we were just here a month and a half ago so I don’t recall seeing that you remember seeing that here the little shops there you do oh Andrew said he saw it here I just wasn’t paying attention apparently [Music] all right so check-in was even easier than last time but something to note um if you’re like me and you do your check-in right at midnight I usually go in and I select that we’re checking in using our birth certificate and then I usually don’t have to change it I just arrive and they accept the passport well they’re no longer allowing that so if you do that and I only do that because I don’t feel like reaching over to find my passport to enter all the information I just like birth certificate um they had us go to guest services so they could update it so make sure however you check in if you and you do it right at midnight to select your preferred arrival time um so that’s why I do it but uh make sure that you put down whatever document you’re actually using don’t try to do the little trick like me because you’ll have to go to Guest Services um once you get through the terminal or you can change it later on so we are here they’re going to start boarding in about 50 minutes so we have quite some time so we’re here in the priority lounge and we’re just going to wait until it’s boarding [Music] time all right something you should know about the Port of Long Beach if you have any Mobility challenges you guys see these ramps you’re going to go up about four of those ramps to get to the top of the terminal the top of the Dome to get to the gang way so keep that in mind um there is an elevator that you can use if you have any Mobility challenges also be sure to utilize the wheelchair assistance if you needed be sure you have that documented on your booking but we are preparing to board this beautiful [Music] ship ready [Music] Drew hello hello [Music] [Music] all right it’s a destination elevators got to get used to them all right our mustard station is the Limelight Lounge so we’re headed there [Music] all right and here we are walking through the main casino now there are two casinos on the ship this is the smoking section there is a smaller casino that I’ll tour in a later Vlog that is the non-smoking section also keep in mind that this casino does not have um a bar located there in the casino so it could take a little bit of time to get bar service but here we are at the hero’s tribute bar um this is a ni nice spot to come Lounge it’s dedicated to those who have served in the military um however you’re free to enjoy that as like a sports bar area and now we’re walking through the beautiful Gallery there will be different um Art Gallery shows and auctions and things throughout the cruise but now we’re checking in for our mustard station here we are now at the Limelight Lounge this is where you’re going to go for your punchliner Comedy Club um guys and they have excellent comedians on Carnival so be sure to check them out now here we are at the Michelangelo dining room now this dining room is a dining room dedicated for those with anytime dining guys this dining room is beautiful I think it is the most beautiful dining room on board this ship definitely try to check this out if you have anytime dining you’ll also have your ceday brunch here if you opt in for Cay brunch on a [Music] Cay all right we are on the Leo deck let’s check it out so as you see the Leo deck has a retractable roof it’s closed right now cuz it’s starting to drizzle but how beautiful is this just like Carnival forenz you hungry Drew all right we’re going to get Guys burgers before that line starts but what a beautiful Leo [Music] duck very nice I did love this about Carnival um fencia because you have these levels up there where you can go to keep shade you can go there and eat those were my favorite spots to hang out I also love the ja of Blue Cafe it’s really nice you have R Cocos so a lot right here in the L deck pool has a depth of six feet and there are life jackets for the kids all right we’re going to eat now Java Blue Cafe has some really good gelato it is not included but it is really good so I highly recommend you trying it all right we’re going off to Guys burger joint now foren has something that Carnival vencia did not have which is imar Cardo I think I’m saying that right but they have sandwiches and things it’s kind of like the deli but it’s up there we’ll check that out in a little bit but as you see the line’s already forming for guys joint [Music] all right so first stop Guys burger show me your burger now Andrew got the um pepperoni pizza burger I got one as well so we can try um I don’t know if he’s going to eat that because it has um pizza sauce he’s kind of a what do you like on your burger what do you usually eat on your Burgers see just cheese and ketchup so we’re going to see how he likes that um but as you see it has um mozzarella Patty there um some crispy pepperoni and pizza sauce so it’s different than your other also comes with the sauce there I don’t know what that is but um when I had these on vencia wasn’t a huge fan um but I heard that these are better on foren so we’re GNA give it a try you ready all right so good Cruise first Guys [Music] burger definitely better than ven the cheese is actually melty that’s good we got to get some napkins so so the only thing about the pepperoni pizza burger is it’s very rich so very cheese heavy so be mindful of that if you’re lactose intolerant you think you’re going to enjoy it or do you want a plain Jane I enjoy it you going to enjoy it all right well Andrew eats his pepperoni pizza burger this here is the can’t even think of the name oh the super melty moots so it has mozzarella um some bomic vinegar and uh tomatoes I recall liking this on the last one because it’s acidic so it kind of breaks up some of that you know richness from the cheese and all of that so I do recall liking this on the last one so let me give it a try I don’t know if Andrew would like this one Guys these already look better than the ones that I had on Vena be sure to check that Vlog out if you missed it but yeah let’s give it a try mhm yeah I prefer this over the other one but it’s good so just a different option if you like Guys burger definitely give them a try we’re going to eat and then we’re off to explore [Music] here we are Jaba Blue Cafe I really do love this spot on Carnival vencia now if you have a drink package the coffees the fraes all of those milkshakes and things are included you don’t have a drink package you just pay all of cart but the um the actual dilato is really really good really tasty [Music] all right we’re going to go in the Leo Marketplace grab some cheesecake we’re going to eat kind of light because we have a special dinner tonight so youy things are already starting to fill up yeah it’s a beautiful beautiful um Buffet area I love the Decor on these ships so very different from your typical Carnival um Decor so like I always say go to the back of the buffet especially on boarding day because it’s always a lot less crowded my salad bar options they do have the soda stations which are nice so if you have the bubbles package they do have the soda stations as well as a um pour your own beer station but we’re just looking for cheesecake something also note on the ship are the wings so These Wings Are Up charge um not terribly priced if you see there so not too bad we probably will try them during the C just to see what they’re about um but that is a New Concept with Carnival think they’re trying to get it on more ship so they are interesting then you have Sea Dogs which the hot dogs are usually pretty good but this right here is located in the lead Marketplace Buffet so they’re definitely given smaller portions look at that cheesecake all right so I just grabbed the piece of peanut butter s’mores cake and confetti which is tradition on embarcation day it’s the only day you can get the confetti cheesecake Andrew has two pieces of confetti cheesecake now they used to slice it up for you but it looks like they are prep portioning it now which probably saves a lot of time and a lot of wasted food but we’re going to have this and then we’re off to explore and I can tell you this cheesecake is better than it’s been in the past how’s it Andrew good yeah it’s pretty good [Music] [Applause] so I forgot the ship has Chicken Shack not to be confused with um big Shacks or Big Chicken on the other ships but I heard their food is very similar so we’ll try it out probably tomorrow all right that creeps me out just a little bit I don’t know if I like [Music] that all right so here we are at the Moda Bar and Lounge this is very similar to The Havana Bar or Havana area that you would find on some of the other ships like Carnival Horizon Carnival Panorama very very beautiful area they’ll have live uh live entertainment each night um there’s a bar back here and there is an exclusive Tazza area for those staying in a tza state room but it’s beautiful here [Music] [Music] so as you can see this Tazza area is beautiful now again this is a dedicated space for those who are booked in the tza cabins only so whether you have an interior ocean your balcony you’re able to access this area they’ll give you a wristband or a special key card that’ll give give you access to um this deck um I do love hear how they have a chair lift there for those who may need it for the jacuzzi something else to note about this area um if you have one of the Cabanas meaning you have one of the balcony Cabanas keep in mind you do not have an unobstructed view of the ocean as you can see here so here are the balcony Cabanas and there’s your um obstructed view of the ocean so just keep that in mind when you book these of cabins something else to note about this deck is if you compare this to like the Havana Cabana areas on some of the other ships this one does not have a pool so some of the other ships they actually have a pool and jacuzzi this one just has the jacuzzi but as you see there’s plenty of seating options um you can get some um really nice sailway views from this deck and again this is exclusive just for those who book The teraza Experience [Music] all right we’re going to do a quick cabin tour of our Deluxe Ocean View cabin on board Carnival Forin say hi Andrew all right this is a mom Sun Cruise and we are on deck one in an Ocean View cabin let’s check it out so the deluxe Ocean View Cabins are different because they have two restrooms so let’s take a peek so you have your standard Carnival restroom you have your sink you have shelves your toilet and then a shower and guys love it because there’s a glass door so that’s amazing and then while you have your thermostat there you come over to this restroom you have a tub perfect for families or if you have people getting ready at the same time so you can come here wash your hands you can take a shower while someone else is in the other bathroom so that’s perfect for families then you also have some closet space now we did already throw some of our stuff in here but plenty of closet space safe some drawers then you have a mini fridge or a mini cooler a hair dryer here in the drawer for you and then it’s nice because you have a couple USB you have a 20 volt you have your standard outlet you have your European Outlet so quite a few Outlets here um available some shells mirror a stool so nice little work area then you have a couch now this cabin can sleep up to four people I believe so this would pull out to be a double sofa or maybe it’s a single sofa um but yeah so that pulls out and then you have a table there and then beside the bed you have two USB which is really nice to have you have a lamp now this can convert to a king bed or you can separate into two twin beds you have a television and the television is not on a swivel so it looks like the USB is only on that side which Andrew that’ll be my side um then you have this nice window so I always love these windows because you can store things there you get a nice view and then nice curtain so really nice cabin I love the decor in here um so yeah this is your Deluxe Ocean View on board Carnival foren thanks for watching say bye Andrew all right so we got our cabin sanitized um getting a little hungry after all that walking thanks to 150 or so people that watched our live stream um we did a whole walk through of the ship so I’m a little hungry so we’re going to grab a quick quick snack from the Chicken Shack get some chicken strips and we’re going to just sit there on the lead of deck and wait for a sway party um we do have dinner tonight at evio so we’re just going to grab something light until then um so we’re off all right so we grabed Chicken Shack uh chicken strips fries so these fries are just like the ones on Marty gron celebration that are part of um big Shacks or big chicken uh those tenders look very similar then I grabbed some buffalo sauce barbecue and ranch and we’re just going to share this so we have something um not too heavy before dinner give it a try Drew well those fries are a little stale they’re not fresh they have good taste though right yeah good taste they’re just tail try the chicken chicken looks good mhm it’s not quite Shacks but it’s seasoned it’s good chicken um yeah I’ll probably be eating here a couple of times and they also have chicken sandwiches and something else and then the fries and I heard that they have breakfast sandwiches as well so we’ll check it out but yeah this is a good chicken breast that’s that’s pretty good try it with the barbecue sauce yeah that’s a solid chicken Tinder you like the chicken tender Jew you do Drew is more of a burger gy is it all right though yeah all right and that buffalo sauce has good flavor but it’s very runny so it’s very runny but it has good flavor and I really like the barbecue sauce because it’s that barbecue sauce that’s sweet but then after you taste it for it gets a little spicy so it’s like sweet and spicy I really like that so yeah this is definitely something to try I’ll have to come back when the fries are fresh cuz I know those fries are good but these are probably they’re not busy right now cuz everyone’s in their cabin the fries are a little stale but I know that those fries are good cuz they’re good on the other cruises but um again Chicken Shack or well this I think Chicken Shack is the this is the only that has the Chicken Shack but uh Big Chicken Shacks is on car M Carnival celebration Carnival Radiance and Carnival Jubilee so um yeah if you’re there try it I think it’s a little better than this but this this will do now this is one line dance I cannot do at all all right we’re just chilling on the Leo doing Drew’s favorite thing listening to music so saor whale started about an hour so we’re just going to hang tight here I love the covered um Leo cuz you’re not exposed to the Sun so it’s really [Applause] [Music] nice so guys one thing about um this having a retracable roof is it is really loud so I’m not one to really get triggered but like just sitting here I feel like it’s a lot calmer when um it’s open or if you’re on an open Leo deck so if you have like sensitivity to noise it can get loud when the DJ’s playing because you have the DJ playing then you have people trying to talk over the music and he has it up really loud I know you guys can hear that really loud so keep that in mind if you have someone Andrew sping because he loves this music loud um but if you have anyone with sensory needs like even just walking through here could be very triggering um so keep that in mind it’s really loud I almost want to ask him to turn it down and us not my deck I’m just here to enjoy it but definitely keep that in mind when it’s closed in it really traps in the sound and everything all right I’m the sailway side [Music] [Applause] sure you know but the first going to righty [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] right we are headed to dinner going to eashi guys it is so hard when you come back from ta way shower and lay across the bed it was hard for me to get out but I’m hungry we’re going to eat so we’re headed to evio I think that’s how you say evio what did they just say drew say take a picture they wanted to take a picture because what they thought Andrew was my [Laughter] husband guys I know I look young sometimes but um not that young so he was like a couple bonding time I’m like this is my son Andre just laughed [Music] all right so here you can get um an appetizer a super salad and Onre in a dessert I recall the first time I was here on a vencia it was a lot of food um so we’re going to share an appetizer and then have separate Entre um I did get the soup now the soup I did like on vencia um it was like a ham hog like a um Li of bean soup it was really good so I’m hoping it’s good on this ship um but yeah so and again this is an up charge it is currently I think $48 per person it is only on Italian style ships of Vena and Fen so um we’re going to give it a try on the ship also this is not um like your typical Carnival Italian restaurant the um cappuccino cappuccino cappuccino cap cap it won’t roll off my tongue cap what is it called D what is Italian restaurant called can’t even think about it it’ll come to me in a second I just remember cucha do capano I was saying cappuccino that’s cuz I need some coffee um it’s not that it is different it has different things on the menu so um I do think this is a step above um cooa but um yeah I wasn’t a huge fan on benencia but I’ve heard that it’s better on the ship so we’ll give it a try so they brought Andrew separate bread because he can’t have nuts that bread is nice and warm smells good all right the bread looks good and it comes out warm I don’t know what kind he said something about mozzarella something and this is maybe like a sour dough but then you get the um olive oil and vinegar for it I don’t think Andrew’s going to use that but you don’t want to try with the oil and vinegar he said no he was watching me dip Mine He’s like what is that should give it a try a little dip there a little did there you got to try things at least once now try it it’s zesty isn’t it do you like it no he said it’s zesty your eyes got big [Music] yeah so this soup is just like it was on the other ship it’s really good if you like if you like pork if you like ham Hogs it’s like barley I think in there but it tastes like lemon beans to me like lemon beans with ham hot uh you’ll like this this is very hearty really good um this was the best thing I had when I was on benencia but this is really good how’s your salad Drew good so Andrew got a special Alert in the app that says happy birthday although his birthday was almost a week ago it says you gift what does it [Music] say free pixels Gallery visit us today to claim so you have to go to the photo lab they’re going to give you a free gift probably like a a picture frame or something that’s pretty cool right yeah that’s awesome [Music] all right so there’s the pizza so it’s made out of chicken is that cool comes with a rugula Parmesan and then I don’t know what kind of oh a honey drizzle interesting and this is sharable so you get one starter if you go with that looks tasty all right so I put the arugula parmesan a little bit of honey it’s really good so as you see it’s not all chicken it’s like you have the bread there then you have chicken then more breading so I guess it’s like a very thin chicken parmesan of some sort that’s the chicken that’s the bread that’s bread so they say it’s crustless but it’s not um breadless so kind of like a chicken parmesan [Music] so this is all good but what’s disappointing is the amount of oil on the plate see that it’s not juice from the pork chop but it’s so I mean it’s good but yeah just a lot of a lot of oil I think all these veggies are sauteed in it but the pork chop is cooked to perfection it is flavorful it is [Music] delicious so my desserts okay if you don’t like a sweet dessert then this will be good the sweetest thing was the blueberries but this this isn’t very flavorful doesn’t have it’s not very sweet but I know Andrew is going to share a bite of his gelato right [Laughter] look how good that looks you see that’s awesome I think they scaled down on the sides cuz I want to say it was a lot larger on vencia um I’ll put a clip in here I think Dyson had it last time but yeah looks like it’s a little bit smaller which is great because it’s a lot of food here so a lot to eat how you going to take the whipped cream off the [Laughter] top yeah that’s the desert to get I forgot how good that was that’s really good so you get a shot of lemon cello and some s something from the chef I don’t know what that is like a fried won good now that lemon cello is really strong really strong but it’s good I love lemon cello so Drew how was dinner was it good all right Drew liked his pasta right pasta was good it’s very pretty out right now so yeah I would definitely um recommend trying it on this ship I did not care for it in Vena um but it was pretty good here um my only thing was my vegetables were pretty oily um the dessert was good if you like a a dessert that’s not very sweet um Drew’s gelato was really good they had like a I think vanilla and then like a coffee flavored and I don’t know what the other one was but very very good um so yeah we enjoyed it it’s a lot of food so go hungry for sure um we were hungry but not like you know too much so we didn’t eat everything that we could but definitely go hungry cuz it’s a lot of food so um we’re going to go collect Andrew’s pixels Gallery gift and see what else is going on there’s not a whole lot going on tonight um there’s Bingo and the welcome aboard show which is at 9:30 but remember our bodies are still on Ohio time so um yeah I feel like I should be in bed now it is um 6 what time is it no it’s 7:15 here so like 10:15 back home so I feel like I should be in bed so we’re going to stay up for a little bit longer probably not a late night um thankfully there’s no deck party or anything tonight but yeah we’re going to go get his gift um probably go to the casino and cash in our Platinum uh 25 our vifp $25 uh Casino credit and see what else is going on karaoke is going on right now [Music] [Applause] [Music] good all right so we had a great first night on or first day on Carnival for Wednesday did you enjoy it yes yep so tomorrow is a c day um I can’t promise I’m going to be up early tomorrow I’m exhausted um but there are a couple things we want to do tomorrow um it’s going to be a very very chill day um so we have a c day
