hi hi hello welcome to verbling hello hi i’m teacher oakley hello hello hello in the class hello viewers uh okay for the next hour we’re gonna practice our english skills in conversation we’re gonna be talking about dining out one of my very favorite activities i love fine dining i like to eat food i really enjoy it um okay so uh paul come on back we’re we haven’t even started yet uh in any case we’re going to talk about dining out eating in restaurants um any english related questions vocabulary just please ask away i i actually for many years was a chef i actually got a degree in culinary arts besides my communications degree wow that’s very interesting i like cooking and i love food every kind everything is food uh every kind i i i most enjoyed cooking um french and italian but i cook mexican i you know i i learned how to make sushi you know you have to learn all kinds of things of course um uh different styles of american food uh yeah yeah well actually she does most of the cooking here at home she’s a great cook too so i can’t complain but uh okay well welcome welcome welcome let me just say hi around make sure everybody’s microphone is working because this is a good okay thank you very clear actually all right guys uh we’re going to talk about dining out so i’m going to start victoria when’s the last time you went out to eat uh two days ago two days ago and yes we went to a place that is called brazili 420 it is in in rome not in the city center and they serve burgers or dogs and sandwiches and the particular the special thing of this place is that the beer is homemade ah okay all right homemade good okay homemade made in the place of course with beer we might actually say home brewed home brewed yeah okay excellent okay i was a little shocked uh victoria you’re in rome beautiful city uh wonderful food many treasuries many places to eat right yes there are a lot too right and you went to a place with burgers and hot dogs uh you know because because we are looking for something uh fast to eat yeah you’re looking for beer i know what you mean yes and for be they were looking for because i don’t like so much either yeah i don’t you don’t like what i’m sorry i don’t like beers so much yeah you must have been with some guys then yeah with my boyfriend and my sister-in-law and his uh and their brother-in-law of my friend right okay i see yeah the guys that was a guy’s call yes the guy’s call the guys decided okay guys call okay obviously all right oh cool all right did you have a good time yes we have we have this okay glad to hear it awesome okay so uh how would you describe the atmosphere victoria um okay uh it was uh not very nice place um but there were a lot of people and the place were not very big the atmosphere was nice because the place was nice um it was like a rustic place ah okay rustic is that what you said yes i don’t know if it is oh no good word to talk about atmosphere good uh adjective uh rustic atmosphere okay all right when we’re talking about dining out or well anywhere we talk about the atmosphere we’re talking about the feel of the place obviously a place with violins and candles just has a very romantic atmosphere you know uh maybe a sports bar would have a much more energetic atmosphere people shouting gold you know a rustic atmosphere would be more in a country style um not really ornate um not uh overly elaborate just simple country style rustic nice yes exactly the place was in this in this way with uh not country music but with the commercial music so the music that we usually listen uh on the radio good point i almost forgot when you’re talking about the atmosphere or what a restaurant’s like the music is really uh it’s a huge part of talking about the atmosphere thank you okay nice nice job thanks victoria thank you all right uh kate oh yeah oh yeah yeah oh yeah when’s the last time you went out to to eat uh actually it was today this afternoon um actually my husband and i were very starving so we just opened the refrigerator and nothing to eat so we had to go grocery store to buy some so we went to the japanese grocery store because it’s very close to my home so it’s like uh five minutes by car so we went to there and there was a full little food court in downstairs so i ordered a japanese pork belly noodle and my husband ordered the tonkatsu curry rice yeah so yeah okay awesome okay i thought you’re gonna tell me yes and i took a picture of it and here’s the food your picture for google here it is i was preparing for the class i took pictures to get ready you want someone just kidding you like food too don’t you kate yeah i like to but the problem is actually i need to lose some weight because since i i mean came to us i put on like 30 pounds already oh my gosh yeah but i mean i’m not that fat girl because i was very skinny but now i’m like not skinny but not fair just between okay yeah anyway good food in the united states right yeah good food and potion is really big yeah right yeah yes the portion is really big when as an american i’m originally american when i travel to other countries i’m like what’s this it’s tiny i need to order two of everything yeah what what city are you in kate uh this is it this is l.a los angeles l.a right right okay la yeah all right easy to get la new york city it’s easy to get any kind of food really any uh any countries food is fairly you can you can find right yeah yeah okay okay excellent uh good good uh word uh another word uh or word phrase i wanna introduce a food court this is becoming more and more popular or it was in the u.s before i left and it is in the united states um a new style of restaurant i guess i i don’t know you see it in a mall it started in a mall and now i’m starting to see it in in in the city just just uh restaurants they have seating maybe outdoor seating or like communal community seating and then they have different different restaurants around a central courtyard area it’s interesting because they often have different no here so uh if the husband wants french food and the wife wants japanese food oh you can go over there i’ll go over here and we’ll just sit down together it’s kind of an interesting idea i kind of like it um i don’t know sometimes it’s not exactly like that maybe you meant a japanese restaurant had a little courtyard and i i don’t know but uh the whole food court idea seems to be at least catching on where i am in the philippines i kind of like that idea um it’s ias it was yesterday i went to a seafood restaurant yesterday you guys by myself okay all right by yourself really yeah but i yeah my my family go out the weekend went out the weekend and i stay at home so since i don’t cook i had to go to the restaurant ah i see yeah and i i had this this this shrimp shrimp soup really good and spicy and i had i had a garlic garlic shrimp with salad okay wait a minute you had shrimp soup and then garlic shrimp with salad yeah let me guess but tempura as an as an entree as a main dish yeah yeah the soup is it’s tiny it’s okay all right and maybe what shrimp ice cream for dessert you like shrimp don’t you yeah yeah i i do i do but uh i i went to that to this place because it’s uh it has a familiar atmosphere it’s a kind of palapa palapa what’s that hang on uh let me look dramatic with a grass roof ah oh okay it’s it’s fancy clearly finds the restaurant okay nice okay seafood restaurant it’s close to the close to the to the beach oh all right nice hmm i like seafood okay so is as what is the clientele there by intel yeah here i’m writing it in the chat box clientele they spell that right clientele means the customers just a fancy word for customers but often when we’re talking about restaurants um you know yeah what do what is your clientele i might ask another restaurant owner or a chef or something who what or who is your clientele meaning are there locals tourists business people um different restaurants cater to different markets you know family restaurants you have romantic restaurants which are obviously for probably younger couples um yeah so uh young people maybe an older clientele tourist natives okay ah where’d he go he’s gone he can’t tell me that’s secret information okay roman how about you when was the last time you went out to have dinner you mean uh dinner in the restaurant yes yeah oh um we returned from uh travel around turkey uh one week ago and we had a lot of interesting uh meal in this uh travel uh because actually travel is a good opportunity to try something new oh yeah yeah and in most cases it was some type some of uh lamp food because uh is it correct lamb food ish lamb yeah yeah okay yeah because uh dish right oh thank you because uh turkey people prefer lamp and there was a lot of chicken dish but my mother said me that roman you can eat chicken at the home at home eat a lamb it’s very healthy so most okay it was some type of uh kebab it was yeah it was very interesting because uh kebab usually uh is different in different in various countries yeah true in turkey for example they add some onion uh onion to kebab yeah here in the philippines they have a kind of a kebab it’s pork well they have different kebabs they they put everything they barbecue on a stick so some of it’s a little weird uh like chicken feet here we have chicken feet have you ever ever tried chicken feet oh i hate that you hate that well i know some korean eats chicken fish yeah right oh right right and they’re it’s very funny because in the philippines the chicken feet uh on a kebab they’re on a stick they’re called adidas like like the sneakers like the shoes yeah kind of yeah okay all right um okay uh roman i’m interested to know if you go have dinner around where you live are is there are there different kinds of restaurants i mean different like ethnic restaurants different styles of restaurants a seafood a steakhouse a vegetarian those are different styles of restaurants and different ethnic restaurants of course uh italian japanese chinese like uh if we talk about turkey most of the restaurant around the ethnic restaurants where people can try uh ethnic food and i remember a very interesting type of dish when you you have dish you have this in some pottery and uh you see it uh uh on your table and waiter uh game come with comes with this porter and smash it before you yeah here yeah yeah yeah and uh but uh this portrait damage not uh damaged neutral on only a small piece and he takes he takes some meal for example it can be lamp lamp too yeah okay to your place uh one thing you have to be careful to do to not eat some pieces of pottery yeah i would assume so yeah see you that’s a wonderful thing and you could never do that in the united states because some jerk would sue the restaurant for a million dollars and they’d close and that would be it some some stupid person would cut their lip and oh i’m suing i can never eat again it’s i have i’m permanently emotionally damaged sue you for a million dollars you know yeah yeah i love stuff like that i like stuff like that i like uh dining with fun things like that um like uh the japanese chefs who are you know they’re throwing knives around in there and open it open your mouth and you open your mouth and he throws a shrimp or a scallop like you know five meters down the table into your mouth bushido you don’t like it oh i love it yeah because i mean i mean you have to be careful when you really really get starving yeah i mean yeah it takes a while ah right right yeah right right okay hmm okay well okay we can talk about fast food too i don’t you know i used to work in a french restaurant i used to be a french chef and we had a you know our sort of one of our one of our mottos our slogan i don’t know good food takes time um if you if you want good food you’re gonna have to wait a little while yeah yeah yeah well yeah you know to cook a good demigloss in uh which is a french it’s reduction of beef uh cooked beef bones and tomato and onion and celery and garlic and thyme and various spices and you cook it down until it’s like jelly it’s you’re really cooking the marrow of the bones and you’re reducing it takes three days to make it properly so if you’re going to make a really good morganion sauce for example it takes time you need three days minimum so you know hey it takes time uh sorry can i question yeah how long need to teach to be cook uh for a good cook how many yeah well let’s see let’s see yes my grandmother was 96 when she died and she was almost there she was getting close no really no really really any i’m i one thing that i being a chef annoys me is other chefs that think they know everything there it is impossible to know everything as a chef you can constantly improve um and there is every level it’s impossible to say you can you can learn how to make french fries in mcdonald’s and fine you’re you’re way down at this level and there’s no ceiling there’s no there’s absolutely no end so anybody can learn and anybody can continue to learn it’s just just my opinion i got my uh culinary arts degree it took three years but uh i was also doing it by studying with a master chef so i got one year knocked off it’s usually a four-year degree actually i got one year knocked off because i was apprenticing with a master chef from la cordon bleu in france so yeah but it was hard work because i had to work i had to apprentice so i had to work and study at the same time it was very it was harder work than when i got my degree in communications it was much harder because i i it was definitely much harder no question yeah that was very serious work uh roxanna okay when was uh last time you went out i’m not very often go out because i trust only myself i prepare fruit at home because yeah you work you know maybe maybe you work and good restaurant but some restaurant put not very fresh food or something you know this business but when i buy in the grocery what i need i know what i buy the fresh and put something fresh and last time we go only my cousin to come from the from from moscow she come she live in moscow and we go to restaurant just only for pizza and maybe one coffee cappuccino like this okay that’s all right so a question uh roxanna have you ever heard of the three second three second rule yeah in the restaurant where it will no i never anybody roman it’s a s k victoria sanitation something i haven’t no no none of you guys all right we’re gonna learn something today the three second rule this is very common it’s not only america it’s also uh they my australian friends have the same thing i laughed so hard when i heard this and in american apparently australia and i guess uh oh yes i actually have a friend who is a chef in england so i can add england to the list we all have the same thing it’s called the three second rule if you drop for example uh let’s pretend my pencil is a shrimp i drop it on the ground oops as long as i pick it up in three seconds ah yeah yeah yeah no it’s okay throw it back in the pan throw it the old three second rule not just for cookie in a restaurant it’s kind of a joke but for home we we joke about it you drop something on the ground you drop your sandwich or something three second rule it’s okay i can eat it i think it it depends on how there is the floor well i think so if you uh if i drop an ice cream on the beach i’m not gonna pick it up and eat it yeah i mean okay when you when you say that uh i just remember watching the weddings the movie title what’s it called again the waiting the waiting no yeah i don’t know about uh when you go restauranting if you uh if you like blame on waitress or waiters before they serve they are put put your food in their ass and then yeah keep it so yeah like that yeah what is that name of the movie the waiting the waiting just the waiting can you just like waiting i’m waiting for a bus without waiting okay all right uh okay and is it the waiting or just waiting i actually i’m kind of i’m not sure the waiting or waiting okay so it’s kind of old maybe all right maybe about five years ago okay all right i’m gonna have to five years ago is old i’m gonna have to check that one out i might find that very amusing generally i um when i was working in kitchens and when i was a chef most people are very conscientious about how what they do with your food before you get it and about keeping things clean but kate doesn’t have a point if you really piss somebody off if you really make somebody angry and not just a waiter or waitress but especially the chef actually oh i don’t don’t do that just don’t do that it’s okay to send your food back and say oh it’s not cooked right it’s overcooked it’s undercooked okay once but if you do it like three or four times and if you do it and it’s obvious that there’s nothing wrong with the food and the chef knows there’s nothing wrong with the food wow you are asking for it you are now at the chef’s mercy yeah you know i don’t even want to tell you some things i have seen oh you’re really my guest you’re you’re gonna regret it let’s just say that did you did did you do something no i i never did anything like that i i really didn’t but i mean when you get like the overcoat steak yeah you cannot eat maybe it needs to send to the kitchen yeah that’s okay so yeah that’s okay that’s okay you don’t make a complaint no no no i would complain if i got an overcooked steak i would depending on the in the philippines they don’t know how to properly cook a steak they don’t even know how to cut a steak properly against the grain so that the tender marbling the the so that you cut the meat so the muscles like this so i cut here and i cut here i don’t cut like on a diagonal and i certainly don’t cut along the grain of the meat that’s stupid it’s going to make it tough as nails really hard to eat but they don’t even know how to do that so if i know if they don’t know how to cut a steak of course they don’t know how to cook it so i’m not going to bother sending it back to the kitchen they obviously have no idea what they’re doing so i don’t even bother but if i was in an american restaurant and i had an overcooked steak yeah i would send it back depending i’m in the business so if i saw that they were extremely busy i know this is just going to make them angry and fluff mustard and mess up the whole kitchen it’s going to take an hour to get my steak back do i want to wait an hour or do i want it back do i want an angry person to cook my food or not i would actually consider that we need to be a good client well you know you are at their mercy sometimes when i was a chef you know i was amazed how much customers don’t realize that they they think oh i decide if i buy the food or not you people working in the kitchen you waiters and waitresses you’re at my mercy i decide your fate if you will even have a job but the fact is you’re putting in your mouth what i’m cooking you’re gonna swallow it actually you’re pretty much at my mercy you know really think about that wait a minute you know would you would you tell you know you don’t tell the guy who sells you shoes where you live and you give him your address in case you get him angry but you’re not going to let him cook you food either i mean that’s about as personal as it gets um i don’t know anyway yeah whatever i i would anyway to answer your question i would i’ve definitely returned food before definitely especially you know food that’s undercooked or or not absolutely i would return it um and i have before definitely no problem and in a cooker chef at least americans we understand that and we get a steak back and we i i cooked your steak you ordered it medium rare it’s obviously medium well obviously i’m going to be angry but i’m not going to be angry at you i’ll be angry at myself and my performance so i wouldn’t do anything to your steak i uh you know it’s not going to make me happy that’s for sure but it’s on the other hand i understand that i have to improve my skills it’s not it’s not about you it’s about me getting you know getting it right and unless i want to cook everything twice i better start getting it right so but i i but there are extremes let me just say that there are definitely extremes i have seen some things kind of funny uh right uh i i okay i’ll just share one with you i just because i thought it was the funniest thing in the world um a customer kept sending his steak back it’s overcooked it’s overcooked it’s overcooked so okay all right fine this this was not me but then the chef at this place i was just a fry cook at the time i was an apprentice or something um the guy who was in charge that time at the night you got to understand also when you go in a restaurant the chef is not always there you have other much lower paid workers cooking your food so i it was not good enough so he took a marker you know black magic marker yeah i know yeah yeah he just drew on the steak he drew lines across the stake there you go there is that is that rare enough for you there you go pal and he basically just made it a little brown on the outside by hunt that we have heat lamps in the kitchen really really hot lamps believe me you don’t want to touch a heat lamp it instantly charge your skin they’re so hot but he just stuck it under the heat lamp for you know two minutes and then turned it over for two minutes drew marks on it with a magic marker and put it on a plate there you go the amazing thing is the truly amazing thing is that people eat it he ate it oh my god he ate it eating raw beef and then there’s nothing wrong with that it’s not going to get a disease you can eat raw beef it’s actually perfectly safe that’s why better eat to home maybe you’re perfectly safe as long as you don’t you know you’re you’re not extreme this is like one out of ten thousand people anyway alex how about you okay last time you went out the last black friday i went to eat chicken wings i think so that there is this is the name i don’t know chicken wings anyway and it was a good place in a quiet place in the best thing it it was raining so it was a good night with my wife ah okay a little bit of a romantic evening so so it was uh yeah we are we were we with a friend so oh okay yeah okay yes all right all right okay so you want to have chicken wings like buffalo chicken wings is that what you mean yeah the ones with hot sauce spicy i i don’t like the spicy but with like a lot of i don’t know what is the name of like salsas yeah salsa like barbecue and another kind of like barbecue i don’t know than the exact the exactly name of the of the other salsas i don’t know sauces are you i’m sorry are you saying salsa or s sauces oh i don’t know sauce okay wait a minute it’s a sauce sauce mexican mexican sauce sauce sauces yeah sauces sauces okay sauce is the the liquid or semi-liquid thick liquid which you you put on uh often thick not always which usually goes on on meat like barbecue sauce for example yeah well i we ate a different sauces like it was with a fruit yeah and it was very very good because it was i don’t know it’s it’s not sal yes like what is the name it’s not salties okay i sorry i don’t remember the name of this okay sas sorry all right but it was a good time i really like to eat to eat out so is it because we have the children so it’s very difficult to go out with yeah okay so uh if you’re describing a food okay you can you can talk about that it’s spicy all right which you mentioned salty you know salt obviously like sugar chocolate sour like a lemon or bitter like uh coffee black coffees bitter or garlic is bitter but usually uh you know of course food is a mix of those things obviously okay uh what do you like uh alex do you do you like sweet things do you like desserts do you like uh salty foods do you like i like sweet sweet food yeah i is i prefer like desserts is my favorite food really yeah what’s your favorite dessert maybe cake cake with a good coffee yeah it’s my favorite dessert okay chocolate like chocolate cake oh so sorry is because i don’t know i prefer things like cakes with i don’t know sorry i don’t have i don’t know a lot of vocabulary about like food that’s hazelnut or fruit cream i i don’t know yeah yeah okay all right i like cake too who likes cake everyone raise your hand who likes cake everybody likes cakes i love pigs okay actually to tell you the truth i’m not a big i like cake but i’m not i don’t eat sweet food very much victoria what what what kind of what kind of food do you like victoria salty food no i like actually i like very much the the sweet food and here in italy we have a very good cake and very good sweets but i think it depends because sometimes i prefer the salty food instead of a sweet for example sometimes he’s very much is very good very good pasta as we have in italy of course and or a pizza or a lasagna and other times it’s like i prefer sweet because there is a good cake or i don’t know i think it depends i don’t have a very um i prefer i don’t prefer any of them or it depends on the situation or the day i don’t know how to explain well that was pretty good actually yeah i think you explained that pretty well uh okay you you like different tastes and flavors yeah my favorite salt food is sushi yeah sushi yeah i like so much is sushi salty yeah a new thing in the soy sauce i think so i am okay when i eat it i i eat a you know a chunk of wasabi about as big as a golf ball so i like wasabi oh i don’t like it oh okay when i when i eat sushi or sashimi it’s it’s extremely spicy because of how i eat it not because of the food yeah because i like wasabi sauce or wasabi it’s not really a sauce sorry do you like spicy oh yeah i like i like spicy spicy oh you can’t make it too spicy if i’m crying i’m happy absolutely yeah if i’m crying and the next day i spend the morning in the bathroom then i was a good man sorry that was though jalapenos much information yeah i love jalapeno jalapenos i like habaneros actually also how in this oh yeah they taste better but they’re but but it’s called tomatoes are very spicy yes they are indeed yeah oh yeah roasted habanero sauce like it uh kate how about you do you like sweet sour sweet and sour oh okay when i was uh when i was a little kid i used to like sour taste but now i like spicy food and sweet food three things so whenever i go to the some buffet i usually check how many desserts they have okay and then the the most digit i like is the uh the buruli okay they’re custards they’re they’re kind of similar but right yeah yeah yeah all kinds of cake so i even when i buy some whole cake i really want to eat up i mean once but the just to try to be careful my way so i just pretend okay just one slice cake is good enough for the day and then yeah i’m waiting for that that’s good enough yeah desserts can be fun actually as a chef i i liked it when people ordered brulee because i then i have to you can of course you should you should um you put sugar on the top and you need to you need to burn it not burn it but brown it yeah you need to cook the sugar or caramelize it’s called caramelized you caramelize the sugar so it’s fun i i get you know as if i’m in the kitchen cooking for you i take out my propane torch and i torched the brulee it’s kind of yeah it’s fun i mean the brulee is very kind of a simple taste because it’s only sweet there’s no sour no spice i mean it’s true this is not spicy actually but anyway i mean it’s like uh on the top surface it’s like candy yeah inside it’s like a pudding that’s right because some nut back in the kitchen like myself has a propane torch in there they put sugar on the top and then they it’s fun for us i like it yeah it’s fun desserts are fun you have flaming have you ever had flaming desserts like um like uh uh um bananas foster or crepe suzette i care about that but i i haven’t eaten yet oh they’re delicious they’re ridiculously delicious and they’re so much fun because you set them on fire yeah uh before you eat them and it’s a lot of fun you know what can i say just one thing to share how to okay when i was a child uh i used to make a candy using sugar and baking powder it tastes really good so you just need to put some sugar on some spoon or some kind of steel object and then melt melted sugar and then when sugar is melted they put some baking powder just a little touch and then just stir stir it around it and then you just how can i say it’s like swollen right swollen it became swollen ah it swells okay swell yeah swell yes it swells yeah yeah so it’s really uh delicious candy and easy to make ah okay yeah do you ever make rock candy when you’re a kid very simple rock candy it’s called just it’s for kids it’s for kids to make you just you have a like a tray and you make very very syrupy sugar water okay and you you actually actually you should cook the sugar water bring it to a boil so that the sugar is completely dissolved and then you just put strings in line up strings in a pan with just a little bit of liquid in the bottom and you just let it dry out that’s it that’s it it’s extremely simple it’s really just sugar but then it sticks to the string and then you smash the it’s fun for kids because then you smash the pan and it it has little pieces it looks like little rocks attached to a string and the kids can eat it rock candy oh i never heard that i made that with my grandma interesting yeah sharing recipes now okay simple though yeah uh okay it’s ias what kind of food do you like do you like sweet sour bitter actually i like bitter as a child i used to go out to the garden and dig up onions and eat them like an apple oh wow oh yeah onions which is why you know i’m crying i’m happy you know when you cry you feel happy yeah oh when i’m crying from food you know not from heartbreak or onions or spicy chipotle whatever i like i like spicy food video cool yeah it’s spicy and yes like you just like you and how amero jalapeno yeah awesome okay but i i also like uh onions but uh not not raw but i like the cook yeah okay all right in carbon right yeah caramelized okay uh is this have you have you ever had thai food thailand who’s that who tried okay i i yeah did you like thai food no it was too spicy i couldn’t even eat it was very very spicy yeah that’s that’s why i’m talking to er essays because he likes spicy food uh so okay say yes if you haven’t tried thai food you should try thai food i want to recommend to you if you ever have a chance go to a thai restaurant most thai restaurants will have this dish it’s called evil jungle prince curry set your head on fire what is it it’s a it’s a curry but it’s a spicy red curry it’s and it’s spicy yeah but uh is is that the beef or where is it uh i think i believe it’s chicken i believe well with curries usually if you’re having thai food you can pick which you want uh you can have a green korea red curry or um you just you tell them i want chicken or i want beef or or seafood shrimp shrimp you can have shrimp curry imagine that you can have shrimp evil jungle prince curry you would love it did you know that mexicans eat ice cream with a spicy spicy ice cream really yeah oh yeah they all the food they eat all the food with with spicy really yeah one day ice cream i’m sorry no no go ahead okay one day i thought some mexican people uh when they eat fruit they sprinkle the spicy powder ah yeah how one of these yeah that is true yeah here in the philippines we of course we have mango which is normally very sweet delicious but also we have green mango which is very sour so with the green mango which is very sour we dip it into salt which is mixed with chopped red chili peppers so yeah it’s sour that’s salty then spicy here in costa rica with a this fruit mango with salt lemon spicy every time yeah it’s very popular here i tried you’ll try you should try it out with the space team yeah you should try green mango it’s really good i mean it’s really sour but i i don’t know it’s it didn’t it’s very good then yeah you’ve had it before yes yes i like i like green mango with a salt and ah and lemon okay all right it’s very delicious yeah definitely okay roman what do you like do you like uh sour sweet bitter i i think i prefer salty salty my wife all the time told me tell me it’s not it’s unhealthy to eat salty food yeah you have problem yeah reviews from this is many people say that when you add some salt you lose a genuine test of food yeah i don’t think so because uh that ah different parts of your tongue taste different things so what often happens like if you have a food that is both you know like sweet and sour sauce or you have like like the sour mango with salt you taste one than the other it tends to you guys get one flavor than the other but it doesn’t i don’t think it eliminates flavor i don’t believe that actually it’s supposed to hand enhance flavor and that’s why everyone all over the world uses salt is to actually give things more flavor or add flavor but yeah i don’t know it’s not healthy to eat a lot of salt i know that yeah i like salt too i like salty snacks you know potato chips peanuts stuff like that definitely uh okay roxanna what do you like sweet salty sour if i have choice spicy salt is sweet and sour and bitter i prefer sweet video cake yeah okay let them eat with some strawberry or something fresh fruits like this like yeah strawberries mmm okay now i’m starving so class is over i’ve got to go eat something now wow yeah i don’t know i’ll probably i have a cold so i’m probably gonna just have uh we we have a lot of fruit in my house plums and bananas and oranges and different things what you should you should uh make a class while you’re cooking a cooking class
