Just back from Hong Kong where we attended the Vinexpo Asia 2024.
The impression is a kind of pour exhibition comparing tonthebone before Covid but anyway still in my opinion the most important exhibition for wine in Asia.
Next year will be in Singapore and then again in Hong Kong.
But nice to be there so we could meet many friends, partners and have many chances to fiscuss about markets’ trends and markets’ status.

just back from Hong Kong from vexo Asia uh how was was worth it this is a very difficult uh question after so many years of exhibitions V Italy Provine V Expo uh I don’t really know this time uh since after covid last year was in Singapore now in Hong Kong uh next year it’s going to be again in Singapore um I don’t know I don’t know really because I was a little bit uh a little bit you know I don’t know how to say I really didn’t know what what expect but uh what I saw uh there was a very poor poor poor exhibition in terms of Italian one presence uh French and the others quite you know quite a lot uh but Italians really really really little um only few big names no actually uh small family business uh with a reputation with the history uh no names that you know people think about in bar Brunell monino whatever but the worst was that not even the Consortium of Brunell de mon and the Consortium of Baro barbaresco Lang danani were there even sic were there uh actually nothing so the Italian section was very little very poor um and so I don’t really know my name is Dominico this is my channel where we talk we discuss we enjoy one in the most easy and free possible way if you like what I do please subscribe to the channel leave your like and your comments and I will be very happy because for me is very important for you more thing and see you thank you for watching to me when you see um such important or maybe a exhibition that was used to be very important actually the only one important in Asia for wine and you don’t see officially Institution Al any important Consortium present at this exhibition I don’t know if we Italian we go on the right Road uh if our way is the right one because um we cannot pretend to be into a worldwide wine business and have a good present if we are not even institutionally present during these events everyone has to do by themsel it’s fair I mean we just need to say that so I don’t like when people institutionally people spoke and say oh we need to go together we need to do this we need to do that because the other country are very much presence we are not so we need to increase our presence and then when you have the chance like at this important exhibition you’re not there with your Consortium with your uh you know institution some of them were there like canti kti classical like ROM but the very important one I mean it’s not that one is more important than the other but the one that the people around the world knows and uh knows in terms of our wines Italian wines like bar barbaresco monino even sic now EA which is very trendy they were not there so to me it’s we miss an occasion we miss a train so this is my feeling let’s see let’s see how will be but this is what I bring back from this uh uh trip in Hong Kong of course we did what we have to do we show the people that we need to see uh our relationship partnership are strong so we are happy about that I saw a lot of people a lot of friends but at the end of the day thinking about the Italian wine industry in generally speaking I don’t think this exhibition was really worth it anyway this is my feeling
