Another edition of Common Table Culture (CTC) drew to a close and we’re excited to announce the next one as well! Here’s a look at our Italy Edition of CTC.

Huge thankyou to Rohini, William, Teem, Danielle, Bruce and Steven without whom this would be impossible. They curated a dining experience that has been unforgettable!

for us here at chai toown being able to
have something that is totally different
from any other kind of event we’re
seeing around the city I think it’s kind
of

magical to have it set in this kind of
way a family setting where people serve
themselves get to know the people who
they’re with I don’t think in character
there are a lot of places um that
organizes this kind of a meet and greet
I think it would be like you know like
the social setting because I feel that
in Kata like meeting new people uh like
you know like spaces where you can meet
new people is a bit of an issue I don’t
go out a lot and I don’t spend a lot of
time with people that I haven’t met
before I thought be a lot of new people
but it was really
fun the food was fabulous that’s the
food is always the biggest draw uh the
pesto pasta and the little olive oil
tip well I mean the food the food is
amazing food was absolutely amazing and
watching other people enjoy the food
that was really
special so I have been making pesto for
quite some time but the pesto I learned
over here I understood the where was I
going wrong in making
pesto the making the pasta big it it
reminded me I didn’t know it was I
didn’t know it would be so close to how
we make roties I always thought you’d
need a pasta machine for that and uh the
fact that you can just roll it out like
and it would come out in strips that was
eye opening we’ve been giving lots of
food ideas we just want to come learn
eat and have a

blast I heard that there be the next
would be Tex Max and I’m sold and apart
from that I think maybe Mediterranean I
love
hummus Brazilian food could be really
interesting I don’t see anyone doing
Brazilian
food French French dessert night that
would be nice you know like Regional
food from the US right everybody’s hard
of burgers and all but like you know you
could do like Philly cheese sake or
something we started last year at chai
toown doing a once a month open house
this year we decided to continue to to
do the open house one month and the
following month do an event like this in
Tri toown we are pretty much people of
the stage we want to provide lots of
platforms depending on what people’s
gifts and abilities are but where the
world really changes is when people who
are strangers sit down across from each
other at a table and eat together
