[Music] calling all beach goers or beach bums 
would you like to go to this beach with those  
waters and those surroundings me too welcome 
to Wandering with Wine where we find you the  
best property in Italy of the week we look 
through hundreds of properties to bring you  
the best one every Friday at 6:00 p.m. here 
is a sneak peek of this week’s property I mean  
babe look at those star vault ceilings look 
at those tiles I mean this one is very new  
fresh and clean many of you have been asking 
us for Southern Italy real estate specifically  
in Puglia so here we are what’s that babe this 
is a castle in the town of the home that we are  
featuring this week this is from the 15th 
century and only these two towers remain  
wow that’s amazing okay here’s a church and I 
want to go in there you know so I have a good  
idea do you want to hear it yeah do you want to 
hear it my good idea is let’s get into it we are  
in Palmariggi in Lecce Ouglia €110,000 118,000 
U.S. furnished furnished furnish unbelievable  
a two-bedroom three bath 753 square feet a little 
tight but wait till you see how they lay this out  
may not matter and you know what because there’s a 
270 square foot happy hour tower there it is also  
7% flat tax comune that’s pretty I love that so 
there’s this place has a lot going for it so let’s  
check it out so I’m not sure if we’ve told you 
this before but we have some friends in NASA I’m  
just saying and they sent a picture of this of the 
property from the International Space Station here  
it is so let’s zoom in to the boot the heel of the 
boot the heel of the boot and Palmariggi that’s  
cute you know I like it down there it’s very grid 
like yeah kind of like where we live yeah hint so  
how do you get to this cute quaint property 
in Italy the airport is an hour and 6 minutes  
away you know and look at this shaded region 
that’s within 15 minutes of the property so you  
have multiple train stations within 15 minutes of 
this property you can get there so we did planes  
and trains now buses there aren’t bus stops in 
Palmariggi but there are bus stops in the town  
next door that’s less than 10 minutes away Maglie 
and there are bus stops everywhere and this town  
has has about 14,000 residents which means lots 
of amenities and services perfect size okay we did  
planes trains and buses and now automobiles Naples 
is 4 hours and 30 minutes away not too close but  
not too far yep Bari is just under 2 hours away 
and you may remember we featured this town in  
our last Puglia video because there’s a ferry 
from Bari to Split Croatia that’s right that’s  
right an overnight ferry which is so great about 
10 hours and you can take your car mhm so Brindisi  
is less than an hour away you have to check that 
town out and the reason we’re featuring that is  
because there is another ferry from Brindisi 
to Greece Igoumenitsa that Martin one of our  
subscribers told us about which is so cool tons 
of beautiful Greek Islands there totally worth it  
and look at the little ferry ride this says 12 and 
half hours but I read it’s actually about 10 okay  
I think that it counts as wandering with wine 
if you are on a ferry you know you even though  
you’re in Greece or oh or just on a ferry okay I’m 
coming from Italy I’m wandering with wine I’m on a  
ferry you look like you’re galloping like a horse 
it’s waves it’s waves it’s waves okay back and  
forth so salute salute here is the port in Greece 
you can see the ferries right there the mountains  
not too bad very cute so this week’s comment is 
a little different if you don’t already know we  
have social media accounts some of you have found 
us so we’re on Facebook and Instagram follow us on
MySpace um no but Tina gave us the best 
recommendation so we need a few more  
recommendations maybe we’ll get five stars but 
this was so hysterical we loved it it was so sweet  
tell me so my husband found this while he was 
surfing videos on buying a home in Italy we now  
have seen every video they have we constantly say 
salute and byeeee and they are very amusing we’re  
very amusing we’re amusing take thanks Tina you’re 
funny you’re funny we sit and watch your live view  
on Friday nights woohoo you need to chat with us I 
don’t unless you have a different screen name you  
need to chat live chat with our glass of wine and 
I just got my wandering with wine t-shirt woohoo  
we’re t-shirt twinsies yay very knowledgeable 
lots of different houses for sale highly recommend  
thank you Tina salute that was so good that we’re 
ending the show here you know salute byeeee no we  
won’t do it yet we still have the property show 
but you know thank you very much okay we are about  
to get into the house but first a few really 
quick need to knows hospital 11 minutes away  
that’s very important doctor you can little hop 
hop skip and a jump 200 ft away yeah so that’s  
pretty cool too what do we got babe there are no 
teeth directly in town but there are tons of teeth  
in Maglie there are which is less than 10 minutes 
away there are 37 tooth in town there are four  
pharmacies in town Zoe and Maui we love you 
we do and the veterinarian is about 8 minutes  
away perfect I mean this one’s getting better 
and better every second hey honey yes ma’am  
would you like to ma’am how old am I I mean I’m 
not that young but I’m not that old I’m how old
she’s let us know in the comments below no don’t 
do not it don’t do it do it for me don’t do it  
for her don’t no don’t do it at all okay don’t 
put our ages comment any smart man knows not to  
comment on a woman’s age anyway would you like 
to wander through the town with me mhm so here  
we are in the center of Palmariggi look at the 
baroque architecture it’s so gorgeous the church  
wow I love it I’m in and then here is one of the 
towers from the castle whose watch tower is that  
Jimmy Hendrix and as we were wandering through 
town there was a market right here as well which  
is so nice there’s the pharmacy that’s great so 
then I love the pavers on the road I mean this  
is typical Puglia architecture Puglia but it’s 
a little cleaner than some towns in Puglia look  
I like this one it’s a little polished for Puglia 
that’s true I like the flowers everywhere oh that  
car just magically appeared and I don’t know I 
think we should name him because not us but in  
the comments below I was about to unleash no okay 
let me think about that one so we’re going to go  
down the street right here cute town and right 
there on the corner is a bakery right there and  
here is the property that’s not good right next 
to the bakery a bakery across the street that’s  
not good it’s great yeah so here’s the side of 
the property oooo happy hour tower babe right  
a big happy hour tower and there’s a restaurant 
right across the street as well that nice I mean I  
said earlier this one’s getting better and better 
this one’s getting better and better and better  
and better and better okay I can’t wait to see 
inside this house here is the gentleman from our  
little wander through town just wanted you to see 
this man gives zero ducks zero and no shoes he’s  
sunbathing obviously he’s pulling he’s pulling his 
bra up a little bit or doing something okay let’s  
name this guy that was a guy from before we’re 
not naming him every I have a name for him don’t  
you no one can use mine I want other ones okay 
and also tell me what movie it’s from oh ready  
I’m that guy right now sitting on the bench I am 
Lorenzo Bartolini what movie I know it Jaime knows
it I just saw you do your it’s like golf 
when you’re like getting ready yeah when  
we play tennis and I have to bounce the ball 
three times before I serve I that’s right yeah  
um okay here is the front of this adorable 
property and here is the side so you can see  
the lines that’s how I don’t even know why I I 
don’t know there’s something there’s a yellow  
line it’s like the lasso of Wonder Woman if 
you go in this house you will always tell the
truth so let’s go inside okay all right here’s 
the front entrance there’s two sets of doors and  
then we go in right here into this beautiful 
living room look at those star vaults okay  
this is a live test here don’t answer I’m going 
to ask a question you got to think about what  
your answer is okay um there’s one thing in 
this picture that is her favorite thing okay  
and I and I know what it is I know what she’s 
going to say I’m going to tell you first okay
ready okay what is your favorite thing in that 
picture the floors or the tile oh the tile we said  
the same thing you know give me a kiss ding ding 
ding okay so those tiles are beautiful obviously  
the ceilings are unbelievable I said earlier this 
place is new fresh and clean check this out okay  
that’s a shot from the kitchen dining room table 
I mean I could see drinking many many bottles of  
wine over the years in this place I love what they 
did with the layout here so that’s really like an  
island as well mhm that everyone sits at for the 
dining it’s a great utilization of a smaller space  
and the ceilings make it feel so big and open kind 
of game of thronesy in a good way modern updated  
kitchen which there’s a few things right we love 
our Italian character and the charm but a modern  
kitchen is fine yeah I would say if there were two 
things in a property that if they had to be new  
fresh and clean fresh and clean the kitchen 
and the bathrooms yep no absolutely and we  
have air conditioning ding ding ding ding ding 
ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding salute  
to air conditioning in Southern Italy the heel 
of the boot another view looking at the kitchen  
so you can see the oven the cooktop the hood the 
cabinetry the stone walls A+ so pretty and then  
another quick view of the living room another 
great utilization of the space I think I’m getting  
pretty excited about this place really excited 
about this place okay we said this place has three  
bathrooms there are three levels okay this is 
unheard of in Italy there is a bathroom on every  
level okay this actually happened in Fivizzano 
[Laughter] but that’s right oh yeah Fivizzano  
but this is one of the few this one is going 
to be and not only is there a bathroom on  
this floor it’s a full bath which is 
awesome there’s noo bidet carino but  
you have a full bathroom the floors 
are great the tiles are great on the  
wall everything looks new fresh and 
clean in this place I really love
it oh okay okay [whistling] wandering with wine 
we’re here it’s wandering with wine it’s Friday  
at 6 p.m. um she is in a trance about these tiles 
love these tiles we must leave the gorgeous living  
room to go down the stairs here into this bedroom 
okay I mean it looks just as beautiful as that  
main level okay now we’re talking it’s pretty and 
it’s sizable considering the space yeah what’s  
through that door over there babe that would be a 
full large bathroom with bidet carino woo hoo okay  
and we also call that AKA cute bidet it’s actually 
amazing how large these spaces are this is a big  
bathroom I thought you said 753 square feet it 
looks like it’s 753 square feet in this bathroom  
and we have three bathrooms and three levels so 
I’m kind of blown away okay I great size possibly  
slumber you know I feel like if I fell asleep in 
this room say at I don’t know what time you guys  
let us know in the comments what time you go to 
bed um we go to bed around too late I say 10:30  
but it’s usually midnight or later but if I fell 
asleep just say at 11:00 p.m. here and shut the  
lights off and turn that air conditioning on which 
I’m also blown away by um I probably wouldn’t wake  
up until 1:45 p.m. lies lies I could I could sleep 
14 hours in that space 6:30 in the morning lies  
when did that happen what a this morning what age 
do you have to be to where all of a sudden you’re  
waking up at 6:58a.m. your age your age very yeah 
remember we’re not talking don’t list it in the  
comments below anyway this is a cute bedroom so 
leaving the bedroom that I’m pretty sure is a  
great temperature oh yeah yeah with that stone and 
the air conditioning 71 without AC cuz it’s down  
into the Earth and then go up the stairs go back 
into the living room and then go up the other set  
of stairs into another space that they’re using as 
a bedroom I think this is a good flex space again  
with air conditioning um you could have that it’s 
not a pull out uh sofa it’s one of those it’s like  
a futon right yeah some kind of thing that folds 
down you could have a desk in that corner or on  
the other side here so you could sleep there you 
could work there you could have it as a gym most  
likely a little Pelton or a couple free weights 
whatever you want to do and what’s in that room  
babe the other side of the bedroom [Laughter] 
the other side of the bedroom is in that room  
and it’s a bathroom bathroom a full-size bathroom 
a hold on everyone say it now without without us  
saying it this is how we’re learning the Italian 
language look at that down there on the bottom  
left it’s one two three one more time in Italian 
and one more time in English bidet carino bidet  
carino cute bidet okay sorry about that full size 
bathroom washing machine it’s a good size bathroom  
again and then hold on hold on on hold on this is 
what I call a happy hour tower that was supposed  
to be both of us tower ready I missed that happy 
hour tower tower this is pretty cool it’s big this  
is a really great space and those doors in that 
bedroom open they’re like bifold on each side  
yeah so you have that large space it’s so nice I 
mean how many how many uh people could you fit out  
here babe a lot yeah I’d say 20 people at least 
okay at least okay that and you have a beautiful  
stone bench from looks like the Roman era and 
you know and I know this is silly but look at  
the copper gutter it’s so cute you know what 
super cool okay here here’s a piece of here’s  
a piece of French and American history oh who 
knows what color the Statue of Liberty was when  
it was delivered okay from France it was a gift 
from France what color was it originally was it  
that kind of light green maybe it was maybe it 
wasn’t I don’t know let me know and for extra  
bonus points I don’t know this but I’ll check it 
out I’ll figure it out what year was that gifted  
to us okay anyway it’s tied into something in this 
picture so the copper gutter yeah oh the copper  
gutter that’s that’s something okay babe you love 
tile I do this is a gorgeous table again the home  
comes furnished would not be opposed to having 
that on my happy hour tower I forgot I forgot it’s  
furnished and this stays I guess okay it’s so nice 
there’s another quick view so you can see you have  
a sink up there you could probably do a little bit 
of an outside kitchen I would put some plants out  
there I would make it green for privacy flowers 
you know for color for privacy I mean this one  
remember earlier I said this one’s getting better 
and better and then I said this one’s getting  
better and better and better and now I’m going 
to say this one is getting better and better and  
better and better so I was like don’t say betterer 
this is the most most betterer oh no better I’ve  
ever seen better betterer is bettererist okay 
ready I want to say it at the same time one  
two three betterist that is not a word do 
not use that word it’s an Italian word that  
means no it’s absolutely not wandering with wine 
had one glass of wine tonight and that’s it and I  
also love all of the shutters on the doors and the 
windows this place has been perfectly renovated  
for Puglia a quick housekeeping note we’ve been 
receiving comments along the lines of why aren’t  
you talking about the weather why aren’t you 
talking about if Amazon delivers or if there’s a  
hospital or doctor or cell phone coverage hardware 
stores gyms what anyway if you don’t watch the  
whole video you won’t get all of that information 
we are doing all of this research for ourselves  
because that’s how we will find the perfect town 
the perfect property um so also what you are  
missing is a second home we do a one minute wander 
now and so you don’t only get one property you get  
two dos due mhm two words thank you okay thank you

couple of restaurants in town one right across  
the street from the property there are some 
restaurants in the surrounding area and then  
there is one bar in town however if you go to 
Maglie there are tons of restaurants and bars  
and this is less than 10 minutes away from the 
property wow you know what do I always say babe  
what do I always say what I always say a lot I’m 
not quite sure what we’re talking about right now
I know that’s why you married me um between 2 and 
50 years ago somewhere in the middle is that is  
that we get older every episode well I mean we 
actually do but you make us really old you’re  
getting older every episode so move to Italy 
time is short your life go to Sardegna yeah um  
what I was going to say is what do I always 
say one bar in town that’s all I need here  
is one of the restaurants in the area of course 
when I saw this an alfresco dining oh yeah totally  
what’s the name of the restaurant babe I don’t 
know if it’s Don Pippi Don Pippi it’s Don Pippi  
but I think it’s Don Pippy sorry keep going four 
years old four years old I get I’m like Benjamin  
Button I’m getting younger hey okay what’s that 
babe this is the restaurant and again look under  
the trees at the market lights alfresco dining 
for Jaimewife thank you Christian Bale yes I  
think I’ll do a new Batman actor every week like 
you do do Tim okay so Christian Bale was this week  
there’s been multiple Batmen Jack Nicholson will 
be next week that’ll be mine but no you’re doing  
it okay go ahead he was the Joker yeah but he 
was in the movie Batman okay go ahead I think  
I own the original uh Batman on VHS um if I do 
I’ll show you a picture right now no do we no and  
then inside the restaurant with the star vaults 
again and it’s Christmas my favorite you guys  
know I call her Jaimewife what else do I call her 
from last week I call her yep if you know you can  
put it in the comments below Biaggio said it last 
week who knew that wandering with wine was going  
to turn into a quiz show seriously but anyway 
babe I wonder if they have pasta uh yes of course  
I mean of all the pastas we’ve shown that one 
looks legit it does and what’s even better  
lobster byeeee my gosh that’s all I need to see 
the whole thing’s over no it’s not we have tons  
of information coming up right now Honeyman yes 
ma’am Honeyman that is no I don’t know if we’ve  
shared that one mhm why do you call me Honeyman 
because on our honeymoon I was named Jaimewife and  
Biaggio was named Honeyman honeymoon honeyman so 
anyway uh you can call me Honeyman in the comments  
below and do you I can’t wait to see these do 
you want to elevate your husband no no I want  
you want to bring him down a little bit to be low 
little lower well actually we’re in the south of  
uh Italy my latitude is lower and we are in the 
south of the United States yeah ooooo that’s a big  
one mhm mhm anyway would you like to elevate your 
drinking yes yep how do I do that babe you go to a  
winery and there is one only 11 minutes away from 
this property and there’s multiple area it’s ugly  
oh man it’s horrible I would never want to go here 
okay so actually we bought the property already we  
gutted all the furniture that came with it and 
we put wine barrels in that’s how cool the your  
the house is this this is the renovation the 
house looks like a winery elevate my drinking  
Under the Stars yes look at this space Jaime 
Jaime give me your answer do I’m half crazy  
all for the love of you it won’t be a stylish 
marriage I can’t afford a carriage but you’ll  
look sweet upon the seat of a bicycle built for 
two not only can you elevate your drinking you  
can elevate your cooking skills cooking school 
at the winery sign me up listen babe yes listen  
babe we talk about this dream and in the top 
three things is when we get there and we’re  
all settled in we’re going to cooking school 
and we’re going to learn how to make pasta  
and all these different things and that’s what 
happens here near this property love it there  
are five grocery stores in town there are a 
few bakeries in town and multiple in Maglie  
geez babe do you think my wife put some pictures 
of the bakery so I can see I say I say yes this
time of course I did okay um on the left wedding 
cake babe yes will you marry me again absolutely  
okay um so then we have the wedding cake ready to 
go Rizzo from one of our favorite movies from the  
late 70s Grease give me a quote from Grease in the 
comments below so we have the baker now we have  
the butcher no candlestick maker but there are 
two butchers in town there are multiple butchers  
in Maglie you know what if you don’t make candles 
but you have some wax what do you do you put them  
on the bottom of some skis there is skiing 3 hours 
and 10 minutes away I’m surprised there;s skiing  
at all you know what if you’re in the the heel of 
the boot you’re lucky to have skiing at all hiking  
there is hiking only 17 minutes away everything 
within that dark zone is within 15 minutes of the  
property lots of hiking in the area and a lot of 
it looks like this hiking along the coastline I’m  
going to jump off that Red Cliff I’m going to go 
into that turquoise water and I’m just going to  
float back it’s gorgeous there and life is going 
to be good the Italian Sun yes do you want to play  
golf I do I’ll drive around in the cart she’ll 
drive around in the cart yeah 35 minutes away I  
mean you know what golf is a great game and you 
know what else is great babe this resort tell  
me this resort okay I’ll go there with you babe 
so when your wife says she’s going to play golf  
with you she means she’s going to go in that pool 
she’s going to get a 90 minute massage she’s going  
to get dolled up I mean this place looks beautiful 
play golf love golf live in Italy love your life  
love your wife ah where’s the beach the beach is 
13 minutes away 7.1 miles the beaches in Puglia  
are known to be spectacular look at the turquoise 
waters and the stone it’s stunning this is a view  
as if you were an Italian sea [Music] turtle gosh 
some more fun stuff in the area there are multiple  
botanical gardens and they look like this it’s 
so pretty look at the peacock even yeah that’s  
beautiful right mhm and then there is a beach 
club look at this there’s two pools they have  
some extra special lounge chairs so so nice what 
does that scene remind you of one of our favorite  
comedians go he tells a little Sebastian yeah 
Sebastian what does he say about the bandaid in  
the pool it’s about the bandaid in the pool if 
you don’t know it type in Sebastian Maniscalco  
aren’t you embarrassed aren’t you embarrassed 
bandaid in the pool so funny yeah after you’re  
done watching Sebastian Maniscalco you can then 
go to the castle in town again from the 15th
century Jimmy Hendrix yeah that is Jimmy 
Hendrix’s Watchtower and these are the only  
two things remaining from that castle The Two 
Towers so cool it’s like Lord of the Rings mhm  
so real quick a few more things that you need 
to know there are multiple when I say multiple  
there’s multiple multiple hardware stores 
in the entire area there’s a lot and auto  
repair all over the place and gas stations all 
over the place so if you have a vehicle you are  
all set there are tons of clothing stores in 
Maglie there are a couple hair salons in town
multiple in Maglie spas in Maglie gym Maglie 
schools two in town and then some in Maglie if  
you haven’t caught on yet everything you need that 
isn’t in Palmariggi is in Maglie churches two and  
town banks multiple in the town next door yep 
post office two and down why would you need  
a post office babe to send stuff to your 
loved ones I like it all right welcome to  
the wandering with wine word or phrase of 
the week and what is it babe actually not  
what is the the word of phrase of the week 
what’s our new title talk Italy to me that  
sounds a little funny hmph uh is it a play 
on something babe yep what is it it might
be a 1980’s song by Poison talk Italy to me okay 
anyway what is the word babe we’re really dating

do it here we go so this is a two bedroom one  
bath just under 1,900 square feet there’s nice 
crown molding in there right yeah I like that  
I like the molding on the ceilings the medallions 
around the lights we personally don’t always love  
the different tile but I could make it work here 
right yeah we don’t love mismatched floors usually  
but I think you could kind of make it work 
it’s the same kind of color yeah mid-century  
World War II charm there’s a fireplace in the 
kitchen babe I like that yep and a big kitchen  
large kitchen and all the ceilings are high which 
I always feel makes it it’s probably one of the  
most important things honestly yeah I love high 
ceilings oh look at the happy hour tower what  
is this like 175 square feet yep it’s a great 
happy hour tower I love the roll shutters you  
can lock up and leave if it’s a holiday home you 
have a balcony in the front you’re on the upper  
floor so you take the stairs to get to your home 
there’s the also have the garden what was that  
1300 square feet like that that’s that’s big yep 
so it’s great um and then too right at your gates  
you have some lions manning the entrance to keep 
you safe kind of Ghostbusters esque you know Gozer  
I think was the demon’s name or whatever it was 
right if I’m wrong let me know what the correct  
thing is in the but yeah you have lions and you 
know there’s the floor plan there’s the garden

about temps baby how hot we can be so Jaimewife 
is talking about temps um and you know what I’m  
expecting to be kind of hot but you know what it 
looks like it’s probably 82° as an average high in  
the hottest months that’s not so bad it’s not so 
bad you know but think about the winter though the  
winter gets you know 50° as an average low that’s 
nice that’s really nice what about humidity babe  
well unfortunately I see miserable and oppressive 
I could handle a little muggy but miserable and  
oppressive just don’t cut it for me you guys love 
Puglia at the end of the day this is probably not  
our ideal location great holiday home though 
potentially for us right not a permanent year  
round I’m not against it but we look a little 
but we want to show everything so you guys ask  
and if we don’t find something that may fit our 
requirements we’re going to show you something  
that you guys want but this one’s not out of the 
question for us babe I kind of like it I mean  
holiday home maybe getting better and better and 
better and better and better and better and better  
and then I see miserable I’m like well I’m going 
take two betters off so it’s actually just getting  
better and better and better I like the ferries to 
Croatia and Greece there’s some definite perks 7%
