About us:
In March 2017, Rick and Andrea (confessed Travel Addicts) started a Facebook Group called Travel Addicts as a way to share their travel photos and videos not just with their own respective friend’s lists – but with the world. Part of the reason was for bragging rights (I mean, that’s kind of the point of sharing photos, right?), but also to help answer questions to others about the destinations they have visited.

After inviting some of our friends and family, it grew and grew – and as of June 2019, the group has grown to over 200,000 members! One reason for our success, we believe, is that we have done our best to ensure only high-quality photos and videos get shared, all while limiting the use of commercial content.

hey are you coming to Italy and can’t
wait to try the local gelato well I
don’t blame you but here’s three ways to
spot the fake gelato number one if you
see a mountain of gelato this one is not
real it’s full of air just move on
number two if you see funny colors like
Reds blues and greens this is artificial
it’s no good and number three if you see
a place that’s got hundreds of of
flavors well they can’t possibly make
all of them good but here’s how you do
find a great gelateria it’s very simple
look for a long line and I just so
happened to have found one right here
let’s check it
out gelato is worth the wait looks like
I’m the

  1. Well, we have an ice cream store in the city here which has about 100 flavours, all homemade and all good. Not nearly all of them my taste but I know that a lot are. The air thing isn't necessarily true either.

  2. If you avoid any and all bright colors regardless of flavor, you will almost only find fake touristy places. Like the overly ornate fancy one you visited here. THAT is fake. No real local business puts this much effort into looking 'artisanal' for tourists.

At the end of the day, it's ice cream, local gelaterias sell a lot to children, and blue 'smurf' flavor is extremely popular with kids. You're looking for muted colors in the adult flavors specifically, like pistachio.
