hey everyone today we are going to go
through laucha from NCL Escape we’re
going to do a review and a thorough walk
through of the menu let’s

cruises welcome back to the channel if
it’s your first time here thanks so much
for coming to check us out we really
appreciate it today we’re going to talk
about LA cucha on NCL Escape we recently
sailed on escape and we tried all the
different specialty dining restaurants
which we’re going to do a review for
each one of them check the channel and
you could see all of the different
restaurants now if you’ve ever watched
any of our uh videos you’ll know that I
have not been a particular fan of laucha
it’s not my favorite specialty dining
however I will say that in the past few
trips laucha has gotten much better I do
think the newer iteration on the new NCL
prma ships of on by scarpeta is a better
restaurant
uh but lacca has definitely definitely
improved so let’s quickly go through the
menu you have a lot of different options
on the menu I used to think that uh
lacca was not worthy of being a
specialty dining restaurant I’ve kind of
changed a little bit on that I don’t
think it should be a full like $55
restaurant I don’t think it’s good
enough for that but if you told me it
was like A10 or $25 per person uh
supplement I think I would probably be
okay with that considering the
improvements that they have made so
let’s go through it a little bit they do
have uh some pasta vazul soup so they
have anti pasty they have the barata
Capra which is kind of like a Capra
salad with barata it is not always
barata I will tell you that sometimes
you just get mozzarella that’s totally
fine you could see the other appetizers
here you have some calamari it’s
strictly it’s very like
uh Olive Garden Italian right it’s not
like Italian Italian if you were to go
to Italy it’s definitely Olive Garden
Italian but it’s it’s like I said it’s
definitely improved much better than it
used to be also when we’re doing these
food reviews sometimes we get comments
of like I really liked it or I didn’t
like it keep in mind that food is
extremely subjective this is just our
experience and one of the things I think
you’ll notice as well is on certain
sailings or certain
cruises you could go to a restaurant the
same restaurant different nights order
the same food and it could be a
completely different experience so again
take everything with a grain of salt
this is just kind of our guidance of
being on 50 some cruises and trying
these restaurants 5 10 15 20 times and
just giving you our feedback based on
those experiences so um you get a decent
amount of options here for your
appetizers they do have pastas and
risotto um you can get get a small pasta
or an entree size pasta I definitely
recommend getting a small pasta along
with like an entree so you can try a
couple different things they do have
spaghetti carbonara they do have the
lasagna they have fetuccini Alfredo
again not an Italian Dish so to speak
even the carbon R here is not a
traditional but whatever I digress uh
they do have some shrimp ravioli uh noi
and risoto so you could try all of those
different things I recommend trying one
of those along with an entree they also
have
pizzas so they have uh a few different
shots here at a pizza you can get a
margarita Puda and arugula the
mozzarella with pepperoni a vegetable
and a meat lovers um I did see a lot of
people getting the pizzas and the pizzas
actually looked pretty good so um I’m
going to try that next time I will be on
Encore in just a few months so I will
definitely try the pizza and get back to
you on those for your Entre they have
obviously a lot of different things here
for selection so you get this salmon
with cantalini beans and some ham
sauteed shrimp like a shrimp fra diavo
they have the fruity deari which is like
basically your uh tons of different uh
Seafood options so you get Snapper
shrimp clams muscles in uh some sauce
you get the scallopini which you could
do ve they have a filet Manan which I
would not recommend there are better
places to get a filet like liistro or
kages and then you have chicken
obviously I’m not going to recommend the
chicken if you
are if that’s the only thing that you
like it’s fine right but I’m not going I
never recommend like basic like a
chicken catori dis at a restaurant
unless you are very like focused and
don’t have a huge you don’t enjoy a huge
variety of different foods obviously get
whatever you want uh and then the osuko
here which is excellent I’ve had that
several times it’s actually very good um
and then for dessert you know some
traditional uh Italian desserts tiasu
panakot uh
canoli a ricotta cheesecake which is
excellent and then a chocolate uh
tartlet and you can get um especially
drinks here you can get uh your
Starbucks coffees which do cost extra
unless you have the premium plus package
so just going through the basics of
Luchi here you do get a lot of food for
your bang for your buck here so to speak
the food is good it’s gotten much better
in my opinion over the past few years
which is good it’s a testament to them
listening to constructive feedback and
making things better I’m very happy
about that I do think you will enjoy it
there again when I do these reviews I
try to go through and say Hey would I
recommend this if you had a specialty
dining package again I try to rank them
it’s usually teaki
liistro um b bi ocean blue I’m speaking
strictly on NCL Escape here uh and then
you drop down to Kagney and then I would
go probably laucha somewhere in there
because there are other ones but they’re
more of like alart like pincho tapasbar
food Republic those type of things which
we’ll talk about later in the week so I
do think the food is good I do think you
will enjoy it it’s a nice night out it’s
a bigger restaurant there’s indoor and
outdoor
seating I do think you’ll enjoy the
evening there it’s they don’t rush you
in and out uh it’s a very nice meal it’s
a very nice way to spend a night so that
you don’t have to necessarily rush
through the buffet or sit in taste or
Savor or the Manhattan room so I enjoy
all the specialty dining on NCL I like
to eat at different restaurants I am not
like a traditional main dining room I’d
prefer not to go to the main dining room
and that’s not for everybody a lot of
lot of people they just go to the main
dining room of the buffet it’s totally
fine you don’t have to spend more money
to enjoy your cruise these are just some
little splurges again if you have one or
two packages or you are isolating those
two restaurants this is not one that I
would pick in my top two or three but it
is really good if you get a full dining
package definitely go to laucha let us
