hello everybody this is Renee and Tom
and I are on the ultimate World cruise
and we just docked in Singapore good
morning everybody it’s just before Dawn
here and we’re about to dock into one of
the most stunning cities in the world
Singapore as we guide into the port the
city is just about to wake up and its
famous Skyline is shimmering against the
morning Sky Singapore’s Port is one of
the busiest in the world handling a vast
amount of Maritime traffic it typically
sees a daily average of about a th000
ships in the water a day as we exit the
port we grab a taxi to go to Gardens by
the bay we passed one of the famous
buildings called Marina Bay Sands which
was in the movie crazy rasion we had no
idea what Gardens by the bay was going
to be it was recommended by a fellow
passenger as we were exiting the port
looking for something to do this place
was just magical it had futuristic
architecture and a blend of nature first
stopped the cloud forest it was like
stepping into a tropical mountain region
complete with the world’s tallest indoor
waterfall Gardens by the bay officially
open June 29th 201 12 they officially
broke ground in 2006 and the
construction cost was 1.035 billion the
annual operating cost was expected to be
approximately 58 million as of December
2023 they have welcomed over 100 million
visitors just in 2022 they had 8.8
million visitors this park spans 250
Acres we talked to a gardener while we
were there and in this building they
have 20 full-time gardeners and a lot of
volunteers we kept looking up at the
ceiling thinking that Skywalk was was a
maintenance area were we wrong this
building just kept going and going and
going we also asked the gardener where
is everybody and why isn’t this place
busy he said a lot of people show up in
the afternoon and evening because when
this is lit up at night he said it’s
spectacular I think between the two of
us Tom and I took well over 200
pitches Gardens by the bay requires a
full day to go through our ship was
leaving at 2:30 that day so we did not
have that
luxury everywhere in the building you
can hear that
waterfall much to our surprise we were
shocked where these steps led
to look how close we are to the
ceiling and then we go up even
higher it was not a maintenance walk but
it was for everyone to see this view the
construction of this facility was aimed
at minimizing the environmental
footprint rain water is collected from
the surface and circulated in the
cooling system which is connected to
these super trees the super trees are
used both to vent hot air and to cool
circulating water
this looks like it came out of a fairy
tale
this Skywalk took us straight down to
the bottom
floor
buly what we need to do they say the
best time to plant a tree is 20 years
ago but the second time is now and that
starts with me and you
forests
F they real sh they absor carb right
into the back side of the
waterfall these are magnifying glasses
to see Tiny
orchids off to the next building this
building is called the flower dome which
is the largest Greenhouse in the world
approximately 3 acres it replicates a
cool dried Mediterranean climate you
would think it would be very hot in here
but the air conditioning was on and it
was freezing in here
after spending as much time as we could
in here we were running out of time so
we walked outside around the building to
find our favorite local Cuisine
McDonald’s an Australian pianoist Liam

  1. Why I go to McDs in a foreign country. I will find a restroom, usually clean, free, and with western style toilets. ( I have a hard time squatting, and that results in some messy situations) They have heating or air conditioning. Lastly, usually have had free wi-fi. Oh, and most have menus that are unique for the country.

  2. Exploring Singapore was an incredible experience, especially the mesmerizing Gardens by the Bay! 🌿🌆 What's your favorite part of Singapore? Let us know in the comments and don't forget to like and subscribe for more adventures!
