Le Bernardin is regarded by many critics and publications around the world as the best restaurant in the world. You read that correctly, the best restaurant IN THE WORLD! The French publication La Liste ranked it No. 1 this year, last year and several years ago they did as well. Other publications rank it either No 1, No 2, or have it consistently within the top 10. For the entire world, that’s pretty good!

A big reason why Le Bernardin is so well known is because of the friendship between Chef Eric Ripert and Anthony Bourdain. The late great Anthony Bourdain loving Ripert’s cooking is enough to already give it great legitimacy! But how good is one of the best restaurants in the world? A restaurant that regularly makes the list of 50 best restaurants in the world to me must be mindblowingly good to receive such praise. Is it truly that much better than all the other best restaurants in NYC? Some of the best foods in NYC that I have eaten are not even fancy places. Is Le Bernardin truly that much better than say, Katz’s Deli or L’industrie Pizzeria and other iconic restaurants in NYC or iconic restaurants in the world?

We will find out together! We can’t quite afford the Le Bernardin Chef’s tasting menu, but we can try the Le Bernardin Lunch Pre-Fixe menu. They did not let us film inside the dining room, but we did it anyways to bring you guys the content and an honest review as always. Hope you enjoy the content and the review!

  1. I have contempt for forceps dining. Just on pure principle. I feel foolish & gamed eating insultingly tiny portions w a single fork tine. It’s like the blurred line w “modern art”—absurdity or art? I’m not payin $300 to find out. 🥴🤷‍♂️🥳

  2. I just started watching you and I really am confused about the whole squinting thing I think you hate it then you love it but it looks like you hate it I don't like this

  3. $127 per person for lunch? I'll take a pass and go to Katz's where I'll know I'll be more than satisfied and at 1/4 the cost.

  4. Seems like the more stars the smaller the food. Should be the other way around. 🐙

  5. It’s definitely worth the price because whenever you eat salmon or octopus you’ll remember how special it was at Le Bernidan.

  6. Forty minutes in between the app and main course is unacceptable pacing for a restaurant like that.

  7. I enjoy the food reviews and the effort but cmon man the whole getting kicked in the knee face you make when you really enjoy food … gotta scrap that. Way too confusing. If it’s great just smile and say this is terrific, please.

  8. "I believe iit's pronounced…."?! You couldn't Google the pronunciation? (Same goes for "Bon appetit."

  9. I am not sure who said this is the best restaurant in the world! I think it’s a classic American statement as the world is only the USA😂

  10. Strange face expressions for a dish that one would enjoy, maybe try working on that (or not).

  11. I'd to know good spots of ice creams or donuts. I think east coast have a better game than NYC. Would be nice to know.
