Rome Street Photography – People, Places and famous tourist spots | Rome tourist places photos | Rome to Florence Train distance & fees (price)
These pictures were clicked during my Italy vacation in October 2016. We stayed in Rome for 3 days and 4 nights and that is sufficient to see almost all major tourist spots.
Rome is well connected through metro line, which takes you to close proximity of almost every tourist attraction.
First of all, buy a metro pass for the number of days you plan to visit. There are different options like 24hrs, 48 hrs, 72hrs or weekly pass.
Day 1: Get down at Colosseo metro station in the morning. Here you can spend your entire day because there are many famous attractions adjacent to one another, i.e. Colosseum, Roman Forum, Victor Emmanuel monument, Trevi fountain etc. Start with Colosseum and try to book your tickets online (you can save a lot of time this way and its very simple. Just carry the print of that ticket).
Day 2: Take a metro to Piazza del popolo. Starting with Del Popolo keep walking on the single main road. On the left and right of this road you will find many tourist spots, like Spanish steps, Pantheon, Piazza Novona etc. There are lot of eating and drinking joints on this road where you be spending almost your entire day.
Day 3: Head straight to Vatican City. It’s just at a walking distance from the nearest metro stop. Make sure you book your tickets online to avoid large queue (this is a must and very simple). Spend your time in the museum and then go to St. Peters Basillica. There is a nice cafe inside Vatican museum. Go to the top of the Brasilia which gives an amazing view of the city. Spend your time in and around the Basillica church till evening. Have some Pizza and Italian wine outside Vatican and that’s it.
After spending 4 days in Rome we traveled to Florence by Train.
Rome to Florence by Train – There are lot of trains from Rome to Florence throughout the day and the journey takes around 2 hours. The Train fees is starts from 25 Euros each person
