I love this dish in the spring with all the bright, fresh vegetables just appearing in my garden! Pesto doesn’t have to be made only with herbs – greens, such as baby kale or arugula, also work great. I like to combine them with one or two fresh herbs for a bright and balanced flavor. I also like to use different nuts in my pesto, sometimes pine nuts, sometimes almonds, sometimes walnuts; here I use pistachios. Buon Appetito!

  1. Loved the video and will make the pesto. I was very sad to see that you dedicated the video in memory of “grandma”. I hadn’t known she passed away😔. I’ll miss her sweet face and joyful singing.
