Rosallini’s 96oz Italian Calzone Challenge Is the Biggest in Minnesota!!

American professional eater Randy Santel versus Rosallini’s new 6lb/96oz “Dough-Zone” Italian Calzone Challenge hosted by Rosallini’s Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant in Aitkin, Minnesota. I attempted 9 competitive eating restaurant challenges during my Minnesota trip. For food challenge event #7 of nine, I traveled over to Aitkin, Minnesota so I could attempt and help kick off Rosallini’s new “Dough-Zone” 6lb/96oz Italian Calzone Challenge. I had just 45 minutes to feast on a massive Italian calzone filled with 2 cheeses plus lots of meats and healthy vegetables. I ordered Rosallini’s “Gobbler” pizza toppings in honor of the local Aitkin High School “Gobblers.” There is 1.5 pounds of homemade dough wrapped around 1.5 lbs (24oz) of mozzarella cheese and 6 ounces of cheddar cheese, plus all the meats and veggies. Within the 45 minute time limit, I was trying to become the first winner to earn my $49.99 Italian calzone free plus a sweet t-shirt and spot on the “Dough-Zone” Wall of Fame. BIG thanks to everyone with Rosallini’s in Aitkin, Minnesota for the wonderful food, drinks, and hospitality!! Time in Akin Minnesota we’ve got so many people here this place is packed here at rosalin in downtown Ain Minnesota thank you guys all for coming yeah we are all here at rosalin now it is pretty much an Italian restaurant rosalin has been here in Aken for many

Years the actual owners now just bought it very recently like 3 months ago and they have started this calzone challenge so big thank you to Kurt and Christian the owners here at rosalin but I’m hoping to become just the first person to dominate they’re pretty much brand

New 6 lb or 96 o dozone calzone challenge so many people here nobody really thinks that even as a family they could finish it but you can try moving forward after this cuz I’m the first to attempt the challenge but I’ve got by myself just 45 minutes to finish

Everything here now I think there’s going to be some rules moving forward that you got to get a specific number of meats and a couple healthy vegetables but the base of it is 1 and 1/2 lb of their homemade dough there’s 30 oz of cheese so there’s a pound and a half of

Their mozzarella and then there’s 6 oz of cheddar and then you can pretty much pick your toppings I actually went with their gobler Pizza which I think this challenge is going to need five toppings or fillings I actually have seven in mind so we’ve got regular pizza sauce

There is pepperoni sausage beef onion green pepper mushroom and black olive and I don’t know why I did four and then three but that is 7 so we’ve got 45 minutes it’s going to be yummy if I fail it’s going to be $49.99 so 50 bucks but

If I do win I’ll get my entire kelone meal for free I will get a sweet t-shirt to add to my collection and I’ll be the very first person with my name and photo up on the wall of fame here at rosalini’s in downtown Akin Minnesota let’s get this challenge [Applause]

Started all right I am hungry coming off a 2hour 10minute ride today and I just realized I’m very conceited because there is an r in here but I thought it was for Randy since I’m helping start the challenge but we are at rosalini so I think the r is for them either way

Other Half they made this this morning just to make sure that they could do it right and I guess a bunch of people from the staff all tried to finish it and they did not win so I think they’ll all be astonish I finish it by Myself I do wish I was spending more time enjoying this but as cheesy and Saucy and everything else as it is it’s going right Now A I don’t think my body is used to having the food go down that fast that wasn’t a close one but it’s not worth trying to do under 10 we’ll be all Right Oh I’m about as moist as this pizza or calone was thank you guys all for [Applause] coming [Applause] W if I had taken time to cut it up which I don’t think is is actually allowed I probably would have been under 10 minutes the actual eating part but uh with cutting it up and all the Talking of course I have the new record 10 minutes and 53

Seconds I kind of feel bad that I didn’t have any of the sauce but you saw how juicy it was and with all that cheese everything just went right down I enjoyed the cheddar all that mozzarella the gobler kzone in honor of the aen gobblers which is the local high school
