Principal I did that for 17 years wow yes and my son we were living in Chicago my son didn’t want to live in Chicago anymore I asked him you know where you want to go I had family here in San Antonio so we decided to move to San

Antonio I want to somewhere warm so we moved four years later he’s getting ready to graduate high school now the reason why we moved here he want to be in Chicago so he’s thinking about going you know leaving home of course and so now I’m like well what I’m going to do

Okay um I do have a daughter you know but my daughter is flexible so she was like you know let’s just travel the world you know and again like I said I had just gotten my doctor degree right in 2019 so um my son said well Mom you should

Open up restaurant and I was like boy shut up I’m not doing that he like for real I want to be able to eat your uh Fried Chicken for free every day and I was like first of all you girl a leave so I am not doing that so um I started

Applying for jobs other places like wam China like everywhere I’m like I’m teach a BRI somewhere you know and the pandemic head and then we were all trying to figure out what we going to do with our life next and God told me to stop applying for jobs just told me to

Stop I had made it to the last round of like one School District um last round and I didn’t get selected for the job so I was like devastated and God told me that was your signs stop he told me to go in the closet and pray I went in the

Closet for 3 months every day after work pray I’m still assistant for school but I was miserable at this point never been miserable was it scho it was okay but I had never been miserable like this where I was like brought to my knees crying

Every day so one day in January I had a dream M and in the dream was a Chicago B and flashing lights and I was like okay God you playing I know you playing I know this is not my portion and sure enough from the day I had the dream to

The day the restaurant open was seven months and God does things in completion of seven wow that’s that’s dope that’s that’s a dope story so what’s your favorite thing on the menu um the Open Face TI yeah we had yes oh that’s what you kept eating you like it with cheese

Or no I Haven had it with nacho cheese but I wouldn’t mix like the nacho cheese and the oh so it’ll be either or yeah okay yeah never need some OA everybody like you need to put this on me you need to put that then you know

Like we’ve started to develop like the secret menu cuz like the beef that y’all had we serve that um in chicken okay as well um some people just ask for different stuff macaroni on their cheeseburger right okay so one last thing uh for those inspiring um entrepreneurs out there

What advice do you have for those young uh women and young men entrepreneurs that want to get into their own business so cooking was always my passion that’s my thing yeah I always did it for my family yeah and but I never imagine doing it on a large scale you know like

This but I would say follow your heart you know because of course like I think think that the food here is good because I put my heart and my soul into it and so I think that anything you do um you could just follow your heart and do it

So don’t give up you know just keep going because it’s hard you know it if you go into business thinking that you just getting ready to you know pop off and make a million dollars and you know that that’s very rare some people do it I won’t say it won’t happen some people

Do it but when people say that it takes 3 to five years for you to see profit from your business really believe that because that is completely completely true it takes time so you have to develop your Craft um I’m still learning things about cooking every day you know

Because of course I just cooked for my family and now I’m cooking for people so I have to make it really real and I have to make sure it’s good so I would just advise anybody to just um follow your heart do what makes you happy and don’t

Give up keep striving because it’s tough but through the struggle right through that struggle comes your strength and that’s your learning process through that struggle that’s nice that was good advice so um with that being said uh where can these guys find you where you got social media I know you on GrubHub
