    Coolest thing about Dave is I'd easily take the vibe over the score. Give me a six with a good vibe any day over an 8 with a weird vibe. He has his tastes and so his scores are low for what I would want sometimes, but he gets that underlying character of a place where it's something I know I would enjoy.

    DiFara's was unbeatable for decades. Dom made the pizza, nobody else made pizza. If Dom wasn't there, there were no pizzas being made. The cheese was ground manually every day, and it was cash only. Later in his life he went to a "heavy handed" style with more olive oil that some purists didn't care for. He had traditional round pizzas and square Sicilians that were thicker. One of his other understudies opened Lucali in Brooklyn, which is a top notch pie, but more elevated than your typical BK slice. They don't take reservations and it's BYOB.

    You ever try NY pizza & pasta over on Jones & Sahara?
    Their thin cheese slice are so good, has flop because they’re big & a lil greasy but you get that crunch at the end, add a lil ranch. Delicious 😋
