Welcome to 72 hours in Verona and inside is like an Italian mansion and that’s Juliet over there in the corner can we normalize getting snacks with your drinks look the colors these these are your Italian Colors hello everyone how are we all welcome back to my channel and to the very first travel Vlog of 2024 and we’re kicking it off with a bang as you can tell by the title we’re back in Italy in our one place that brings us so much joy

But we’re in a new destination we are in Verona so this is somewhere that Zara and I have really wanted to come for quite a while and it’s been on the list so last year for Zara’s birthday I booked us these tickets flights were so inexpensive we flew with British Airways

And was staying in an air BMV but because it was a birthday I thought I could spend a a little bit more and get like a really beautiful Airbnb and we literally just got a taxi which is really quick from the airport into the place where we’re staying I’ve

Completely forgot the name of it already S no that’s wrong the area that we’re staying is called Santa Kiara and I’ll link this Airbnb down below because it’s absolutely Sten it’s a two-bedroom apartment but obviously we just got the one let me quickly show you around it’s beautiful it’s really spacious so this

Is the front door this isn’t access to a bedroom but obviously it’s just us two got really high ceilings this nice little crital glass divider so it’s fully self-contained so it’s got a nice kitchen area here with fridge and our horse just showed us around he’s got

Some milk in here and some water and some juices which is so nice an espresso machine little induction Hobs we can cook if we’d like to and there’s a beautiful balcony here and then lots of different snacks and jams and cookies and teas and all of like dishes and

Cutlery and then this is looking out onto one of the little um Courtyard sorry I’m going to say nice little dining table and then there’s a little seatting area here it’s done so beautifully and then we’ve got a little Courtyard down here as well how stunning

Is this and then through here is the bedroom so there’s a bathroom in here little sink area which is so I like that the sink’s external so you can be brushing your teeth and whatnot and also come in here and have a shower where’s the light wow look at that huge shower waterfall

Shower it’s done so nicely shampoo and conditioners included with um bath soaps shower SS sorry L and um be deer how nice is that and then this is the bedroom and this is what sold me when I booked this a b& look at the view that’s literally straight out how stunning is

That you actually can’t um go in it he’s just said but it’s beautiful to look at you can I thought you said you can’t no he said you can but it’s more beautiful outside oh I see oh my gosh okay okay sorry I thought you said you couldn’t go

In that’s oh oh there we are again like a lovely little um seat area for your balcony Juliet Balcony hang on Juliet Balcony is that why it’s called Juliet balcony first cuz she would say Verona Verona no she wouldn’t no she’d say Romeo Romeo Verona where that

Romeo maybe that’s why no surely not that’s why they can’t be called Juliet balconies we have to Google that we’re definitely going to have to Google that don’t hold me to that guys but there’s a lovely Junior at balcony and then we’ve got a double bed with um hanging storage

That’s just my court a smart TV as well not that I think we’ll be watching any TV it’s just a really beautiful well fought out furnished apartment so it’s Curr cently 1:00 so we’re approaching lunchtime partly one of the main reasons why I love Italy is the food I think

It’s just honestly I mean I cook a lot of it because I love it and our horse just said that he’s going to send over a full list of delicious recommendations in places we should try we haven’t booked anything we’ve not planned anything I think we

Really just want to have this trip is like least stressful and just go with the floor if we fancy doing something we can if we don’t we don’t have to the only thing that we said we really want to do is go to um Lake Garder right yeah

But even when we’re there we don’t have like a to do this no set planet so yeah that’s that’s it so welcome to 72 hours in Verona let’s go Okay so we’ve just left our apartment we had a quick freshing up literally 5 minutes drink of water and then we’re out

Um the fact that we’ve just left our apartment and we’re already just looking at this everything is just is beautiful I just love Italy so much honestly I’m obsessed with it I just desire it reminds me of Florence so our horse just said that Verona is beautiful but in the

Sun it’s even more beautiful and obviously we are coming in February we did Venice in January I think there’s a lot to be said about doing an Italian brick in the winter months and it’s B just volumes it’s still beautiful even in this Weather I think I already really love Verona we’ve just walked past cheese shops and Meat Shops and look all of these bulbs Springers in the air guys look I’ve actually grown some of these in the window sill oh my going it’s a FICO restaurant a little Deli what are you

Thinking Zara oh my God stop it of for two could we not walk past him and get fat you you go yeah I want to get your reaction to the first piece of yeah I just ordered an Itali make sure my ears go and Zar doesn’t do anything she just stands

There no I smile I I’m I’m appreciative I say hello and thank you are you proud of how far my Italians come along though can I have a bite please yeah she the biggest B oh my God M he is this way literally 3 of just deliciousness we just got one to share

Because we’re going to get some um oh look a wine shop we’re going to get some lunch it’s so good M prices seem to be like okay um we just walk past a commission Star Restaurant it was like €20 for Roto which is a lot but yeah I

Would say that it’s not okay but I think it was a location cuz that you’re right on the River on the river and also like you we you know London prices in comparison inoc you know it’s Verona it’s where Romeo and Juliet was set you know you’re going to pay a little bit

More my old car stop it MH if anyone wants what I used to drive your little whip was this in blue called twen twen and it was an R honestly I really have come up in the oh my God look at you go an opal I know you still driving an

Opal right we are just wandering through the streets we’ve got no map and no agenda I’m read inside cuz although I can’t speak Italian it’s a fun fact actually I can read it oh really that’s all so where are you taking us oh okay lovely it feels really calm

We are here on a Thursday so obviously you know it’s probably going to be more busy at the weekend but yeah this is lovely guys you know me and you know how much I love my food and cookery appliances how cool is this they’ve got the old kitchen skills as well just

Underneath wow it’s a good job as close CU I would definitely go in there oh this is so lovely I feel like there’s not many um like chins in terms of like shops that I recognize which is really nice she’s only G and done this she’s only gone and found us the

Piaza wow oh my goodness that I can’t read or right no I’m not seeing that I just I just didn’t know why you were seeing the signs cuz I couldn’t see them either so um yeah here we are it’s very quiet obviously it’s still you know

Quite cold so we Haven got the of tourists coming in the summer months but it’s nice to appreciate it in its calmness so we may have just stumbled into a Zara it’s a thing we do whenever we come to a European city and the sale

Was amazing so we will show you the bits and Bobs well Zar got a jumper and I got a jacket both in the sale for just over 10 each it was just around the corner from Cass Julieta which is where Juliet’s home was I think it’s going to

Be quite popular but we’re doing it today because obviously at the weekend I think it’s going to be even more busy so um yeah we’re going to walk on in here we go we’re walking on in amazing so to come into the courtyard it’s free

But then to go up to the balcony it is um obviously you have to pay the cost oh my God look at all of the messages people right oh wow you want to stud oh yeah apparently that’s a thing isn’t it t a heart Zara

Not her breast it’s her heart oh my God so we were actually watching let jul last night and people still write to her and there are people who respond the Juliet Club the Juliet Club that’s it yeah dear Juliet Juliet club.com wonder if she can sort out the mess of my

Life oh my goodness this is incredible so there we are that’s her balcony up there and that’s Juliet over there in the corner some people are up on the balcony just having some photos I’m not sure how much it is to go inside so you can read

And have find out and I can leave a link down below I don’t think think we’re going to go inside but um it’s very cool s was just having a read that’s what people do you rest your heart rest your hand on our heart let um for Everlasting Love so it says um C Julieta is located in the medieval structure and um it was on the seat of Del Capello which forms the Capulet name and obviously there’s the Capulet in the monteu for the family of Juliet if you have seen Letters to Juliet you’ll see that they affix the

Letters to the walls and um it is a criminal offense now to write on this because it’s class is a monument and you can get a €3,000 fine or spend up to one year in prison so don’t do that instead you can write a handwritten letter to

Juliet inside and uh you’ll get a response or you can use that email address but um yeah I can understand why they kind of stopped that apparently it was stopped in 2017 because all over the walls there’s just scribbles and people’s names I wonder how many of these people are actually

Still together probably very few I think if we have to resort to wrting on a board say Roman instead so we just went into this department store it’s called coin we’ve never been into it before I love a department store and I especially love it when they’ve got s yeah so there

Was a huge sale in there and um Sara just bought her dad a birthday present in there and I just got a cap it was a Yankees cap rued from 35 to like 12 I love my caps as you can tell my hats as well um I show when we’re back in the

Room it’s okay okay oh yeah s just got it there a little red one it says New York New Era New York yeah really cool what was the one in Venice called I don’t know I went to say ill C or engl it’s not that spin yeah a really nice apartment store

We had a look at the home section as well I didn’t want to Vlog in there because there’s quite a few staff and I don’t think I could get my camera out but it was quite a fancy one but it was really nice and the stuff was super

Friendly we the stuff was so nice actually I didn’t know what’s that at my dad and she just got out each side yeah she was folding away yeah she was really nice I think he’s going to love it we also saw this restaurant earlier it’s called austeria Capell which is um Comm

Very highly rated on goog just behind but our Airbnb horse gave us a whole list of restaurants and one of them um included like a subsection of bakeries so we’re going to go and see if we can get a little sweet treat we’ve already had an espresso but I think something

Bit sugar to like perk us up maybe Italy take their Christmas decorations down later because yeah they’ve still got them up in the sky and like some of the shops have got like Ferns and Christmas stuff around like lights at the end you can see I’m not mad at it I feel like

Christmas all year around is Lovely so we’ve just came to a place called ptio and um fleo yeah pteria Flo I think this is uh possibly one of the most tall T I’ve ever had and Zara’s just gone for a little chocolate and here on N tot and then I’m not sure what this one is but

It looked lovely a child I just needed sugar and some kind of substance so going to dig on in it and we’ve got two hot chocolates coming as well this was a recommendation from our host in our Airbnb and it looks beautiful it’s like the lightest fluffiest

Terisu oh my goodness look at that look in There you got you’re on stage that’s beautiful it’s lighter than light stuning gold coffee beans look at this stunning try the hot chocolates have arrived mine literally looks like thick it’s like proper whipped Cream freshly whipped cream that’s delicious oh my goodness this hot chocolate look is wonderful thick and velvety that looks oh my goodness wow we’ve got the best of the weather today and it’s what time is it it’s 20 to 5 and it’s still bright and sunny how nice is this it

Feels like today’s February 1st I don’t know it feels like spring really is in the air oh spring oh my God Springers what we’ve just done a bit of shoping tails are everywhere and the are really good with the conversion from Euro to Pound I I love CA but their prices are

Usually way out of my um price on and if I do buy something it’s a treat but I just got two really lovely pieces in ca for probably what you’d even spend on one in the UK full price so very happy but now we are at the um stadium and I

Can’t believe we’ve just turned a corner Arena sorry and I can’t believe just turned the corner and found this you know Oxford Street and region Street in London Sun but when you walk down a shopping street and then you’re met with this how incredible is that is the arena of Thona these are where the more premium stores are so you got Louis Vuitton there’s like a Gucci up there this is our shop that’s where Luke’s been shopping this is mine yeah it was very very nice shops anyway we are at the main um main Square now so you can

Do an arena tour as well um that might be something we can consider on Saturday tomorrow we’re going to try and head to late Garda so really looking forward to that Zar just spotted these signs and they actually do performances in the arena as well how amazing with that be

If it slightly warmer you could see some Opera this is a temple de Mor so it’s something about love I really need to brush up on my Italian right we’re just having a little wonder how beautiful as the sun’s just setting Cesar’s just suggested that we pop into this lovely restaurant here the

Victoria Emanuel Cafe founded in 1895 just successfully ordered two apperal sprits and some snacks in Italian I’m getting there can’t ask for directions don’t know anything other than how to order coffee and Cocktails and food but we’ve got the just view of the Arena just behind us can we normalize

Getting snacks with your drinks in England and it just be like a thing because in Italy when you order a par eval you get yourself your little some crisps and olives and I feel like once over in England like a Bread Basket was like now you don’t even breathe in a bar

In England get Char in London good Lord you even sneeze and they’re like that’s £5 I mean like I I know olives and crisps are expensive and well yeah but you I mean like it’s an additional cost but it should just be it should just be

It should just be we just want to sprinkling although in the langum we did get some olives and some little biscuit now correct yourself in the L yeah and I’m not going to lie those cocktails were very expensive and we’re not in a l of equivalent no okay we are back in the

Apartment I’ve just made myself a lovely little lemon tea tell you what lovely touch there is a selection of twiins tea bags I need to show you it a tea caddy full of delicious teas L GRE lemon cented tea English breakfast tea Prince of Wheels

Tea just a nice selection of teas it’s a lovely touch so I’ve just had a lemon one very nice and I’m about to hop in the shower just I feel like Zara’s to show I can’t go out for dinner after being on a flight I just feel grubby so

Um yeah we’ve been up since 4:30 this morning so ler or shower will certainly refresh sorry I feel like this lighting is quite awful I did buy something in C I bought two things actually and they’re both so nice and I’m really really pleased with them so they’re currently

Resting in a plant pot so sorry if it’s a little bit there we are this the first piece I got It’s A really lovely striped long sleeve t-shirt jumper it’s a t-shirt jumper because it’s thicker than a t-shirt but it’s thinner than a jumper so it’s more like a sweatshirt to be

Fair and I got it for €25 which for Co is pretty good G it’s really thick it’s 100% coton and I just love how like classic it is I feel like I’m going to get a lot of wear out of that and the second piece in

Cause is this gr sweater zip through so again another like classic piece but just really really lovely it’s got a collar and um yeah I just think this is again really Timeless A really lovely piece and it’s obviously got the cuffs on the sleeves as well so it’s going to

Keep me nice and warm and it’s fleece lined as well so going to keep me nice and snug in the winter months this was €2 instead of 70 so all half price and I really really like it and then my new little CRA so any Americans out there I

Feel like I’m doing you justice but I traveled in a cap this morning I do like caps I like caps and hats I’ve always really enjoyed wearing a cap um so yeah this is New Era New York and um yeah I’ve got a couple of pieces from New Era

And I really like this this was € 12 Sor the light keeps on going off behind us I think it’s motion sensored and then this is the last thing I got so this was in Zara now I had a swear jacket years ago but unfortunately I actually sat on a

Bus in London and there was some kind of like sticky tar or something don’t know what it was on the seat I didn’t check ended up transferring on sued and if you’ve ever had a s jacket or a for S jacket it’s the hardest thing to clean

So I saw this and it was reduced by 68% so I got this for €1 15 it’s such a beautiful jacket it was originally €79 and it’s such a lovely material it’s four S but I think it’s really nice yeah sorry it’s really difficult to show you

But it’s just a very nice jacket so again I purposely don’t pack full outfits when I come on the city bricks because I know I always get something and Laur and behold I leave a bit of room in my case I’m glad I did Zara and

I both fancy and past of the scen so I think that’s what we’re going to Have okay oh sorry okay I feel like I’ve got a strong in my yeah so we just had dinner it was a very very intimate restaurant so I didn’t get my Vlog camera out because the tables were quite close together and it was a lot of

Locals in there as well and the last thing they need is a Brit whipping out his Vlog camera and showing you what we is but but there wor things that’s um but we had some really really delicious food in that restaurant it was called Osteria Romeo Juliet or Juliet

Romeo one way or the other it was really nice it two courses for €25 and the pasta was so good we got to the second course I was just so unbelievably full I couldn’t finish it I had something that I probably wouldn’t order again leave on screen it was a mix of

Palenta salami and gorgonzola and I don’t know what I was expecting but that’s literally what arrived it was Lally a piece of Gorgonzola a plate of palenta and salami appe it it wasn’t amazing it was different and I wanted to try something different and the pastor was Sublime but

Probably wouldn’t order it again so we live and we learned Zara had um like a Parmesan there was like aine tomato cheese it was L you just couldn’t finish it as well could you but yeah we we skipped a cuz we had Teru earlier and I

Think we just need a bit of a walk so we’re going to try and find a little bar to um maybe get a nice little night cap in we’re saying a night cap it’s only it’s 10 to 9: 10 toight 10 to 8 at time I know I think it’s just when you’ve

Been up early on a flight your first day you usually get an early night and if we are going to late G tomorrow then we want to get some some well earned rest so we just tried to go to a rooftop bar which is just in here what’s the hotel

Called it’s called Hotel Spa and oh anyway it’s a Hotel and Spa but there is a rooftop bar right at the top I’ll leave it link down below because the views are amazing but it’s closed until February 8th because they’re doing maintenance works because you get this

As your view so you can see the Hall of the Arena so it’s a shame but we’re seeing it at night time anyway and that’s fine um so I think we’re just going to go back to one of the bars that we were at earlier just to get a

Been having a look online and there’s a couple of Bakery recommendations that our horse left us and the Italians aren’t really big on big breakfast like not in England like we you have like triy ups and stuff like that which we don’t really do anywhere um they kind of

Have more like a Brios or a quason and an espresso and that’s it you’re on your everywhere so that’s what we’re going to do heading to the train station to head to L Gard just packing up my bag got my glasses wallet hat and a book for the

Train the Train’s about half an hour so I’m reading this Zara’s recommendation and Zara is reading this which is my recommendation I love this book really really good um and yeah I started this last night I’m only so far into it I couldn’t find my bookmarks I had to fold

The page how annoying is that there we are right let’s Go we’ve just crossed the bridge and now we’re walking on the other side and justar how mad that we literally just seeing over there and we didn’t really appreciate this cuz obviously this scale we were looking up at it but from the other side of the river it’s beautiful

And the sun oh sun is sunning winter sun is so special so we’re just heading to a little breakfast spot this morning so I’ll show you it when we arrive so this is breakfast we’ve just ordered some fluffy pancakes with on the and there three two lots because I got jealous of

Zara’s order so I ordered the SS this is Elk Bakery and I’ve gone for a cappuccino and Zara’s just gone for a little Breakfast Tea cuz she is British to her core I love your jump for it’s very nice so this is the bakery it’s called elk Bakery really lovely restaurant in there

Service was Fab and um yeah they’re open from 700 in the morning till 9:00 at night so really do recommend that and it was a very good service and delicious food so we’ve just stumbled across a flying Tig on the way to the station and flying tiger in the Europe is so much

Better I don’t know if they have these in England they probably do but look at these little lobster cups they’re so cute and the love heart ones they’re very Emma Bridge Water these little love heart dishes are quite nice with the scallops Bob and detail they’re actually really nice

£2 how lovely is this so this is a fish trailer it’s selling all fresh fish that’s caught and then there’s a cheese and meat one over there as well I think that’s such a nice idea let’s go and grab your bits for Friday night Dinner okay we’ve just hopped off the train that was really nice I read some of my book and we are now heading towards the center of Lake Gard which is so exciting so we’re here so we just got off at the desend or train station and

Uh yeah just a short walk down here we go I feel like we’re in like the Hollywood Hills of Italy it’s a beautiful like art Decor Hotel there just walking down it’s so bright and sunny and warm I mean it’s 11° so that’s like toasty for us but thing in London the

Other week wasn’t it like on one of those days it was something likeus 6 yeah yeah no it was and I never felt cold like it this is what’s that a 20° yeah there’s there’s a difference and it you yeah 10 it feels like we’ve obviously got layers on Z’s got thermal

On but it’s like just to have that warmth on your skin oh it’s so underrated Okay so we’ve just made it to the square it’s very quiet but obviously it’s um just say lunch time it’s half 12 and there’s a couple of restaurants around here as well so I don’t think

We’re going to be struggling to get some lunch but we’re just heading towards the water now honestly this is beautiful I know this is really ridiculous but like the Italian color palette is stunning and I love this like rust red color I think it’s so cool if yeah I say if we

Can utilize some of these colors like the neutrals and like the pop of red like a dark tusen red I think that could be so nice oh look at this yeah absolutely it’s going the sun this is where I go surprise I’ve got you a boat trip I I

The afternoon evening and obviously we were planning to go back to Verona in the evening so the timings haven’t worked out perfectly but I still feel happy that we came and we had some lovely pizza and kind of just sat and chilled in the sun which is pretty much

What we wanted to do so we’re happy we did that so we just hopped off the train it was really quick back from um l g God we’re so sleepy I feel like on that train it was just so calm and just relaxing that we both need like a coffee

To wake us up anyway yeah we’re back in Verona and we’re going to have a look in the castle so I was just walking ahead we’re going to get some ice cream as well thank you and uh yeah have a look inside here and then there’s a lovely

Midday and we sat down at 12:06 so there we are and we’ve ordered two appal sprits just because well why not sprits have arrived wonderful so we just finished up lunch and possibly one of the most delicious restaurants we’ve tried since we came here it was called

MCU and it was delicious so we had two espresso a tiasu two plates of pasta and a little um bread to share and it was 32 which is so good and it was delicious the service was so nice the staff really really friendly was very busy in there

So um if you are after some really delicious pasta lots of varieties they have vegan options too then um yeah definitely consider that cuz it was really really good I think you can like make your own as well was like create a play oh yeah at the bottom of the menu

Tonight to a restaurant called croa which is another Pizzeria they do other things as well but we found it when we were wandering earlier and it looked really really nice looked like really quite um like nice and SED and just be nice for like Saturday evening so all

Dressed up W all dressed up thing is with City bricks you have to pack cleverly so um I’m wearing a black R neck jeans that I’ve wore for a couple of days and just um great Overcoat but I’ve got a thermal one underneath this

As well to keep me nice and warm so yeah we’re going to head there now so we’ve come out for dinner this evening and how delicious this looks we’ve come for pizza again s’s gone for an indua this and I’ve gone for a pesto with Gran Pano crisps and pistachio

Mortadella with a pesto sauce it’s gorgeous what’s it on it’s very like cool inside got lovely art deck on the walls as well dig on in okay we’re back home dinner was delicious I’ll leave that link down below it’s kind of like a different Pizza it was more like thin and crispy

Um service wasn’t amazing we both kind of like what is going on um you were just you ordered and you were just left your own devices which is completely fine but um yeah we ended up getting some ice cream on the way home and we’re just calling it at night because we fly
