Hi everyone welcome to my channel so in today’s video I’ll be working right here in our dining room I say room but it’s not really a room but a space rather and I’m going to be fixing it up for the spring season I’m really excited about

It I’m going to try something new and I’m going to grab the camera and kind of show you guys what I plan to do so as you can see there’s not a whole lot going on in the space I have the table centerpiece removed the one I had

For the Christmas season and then on the plate rack here I still have some Christmas plates you know those will have to go along with the greenery that is in the basket up on the cupboard and then looking out the window I don’t want to see any Christmas Reds I’m not sure

Why I still have that out there but the main thing the change that I want to make in here is something new I am planning on adding a wallpaper to the two walls here along here and here and I’m also planning on removing this window shelf here I have mixed feelings

About it it’s served us well for years I just you know I always like to see it but if I want to add wallpaper I really want to see that you know rather than the Shelf with all the the dishes or the jars so that’s what I’m planning on

Doing and it’s kind of scary for me the wallpaper that I picked out I am finding myself kind of gravitating towards a cottage core Vibe I don’t like all of the cottage core stuff that I see on Pinterest but I do like the florals and just the pretty you know whites of

Course and some of the Linens um I’m just I feel like drawn to that and I found this pretty wallpaper from Wayfair and I’ve held it up I’ve gotten other people to hold it up for me stood back and kind of eyeballed it you know am I

Going to like it or not so again it’s kind of scary for me but I love it like I just love pink florals so I’m going to try it I mean if nothing else I can always remove it right if I don’t like it so let’s get to it and just cross our

Fingers this is going to work I’ll bring it in closer here so you can see what color these walls have been at one point they were green and then red Is Hanging this wallpaper was fairly simple I mean it helped that I had done some of it before uh but it just definitely took some careful you know measuring cutting misting and applying and I’m sure if you’re a professional wallpaper installer you’re probably laughing at me I’m sure I didn’t do everything you know

Correctly in fact I started second guessing myself cuz I had so much waste but I of course had to match up the patterns you know as I did section by section and I feel like half of the role was to waste so I’m not sure could I have done something differently or not

But ended up having exactly enough I’m just a little bit left over on the roll so thankfully I didn’t mess up anywhere or I wouldn’t have had Enough I decided to paint the beadboard in here I thought I would just freshen things up I’m just using my go-to paint doit best brand um it has a satin Sheen and it’s the bright white color off of their Shelf I’m also going to spring clean the dining area I’ll just make everything nice and fresh I’m going to take the baseboard heaters apart you know clean those along with the floor of course I’m also cleaning the windows using my trusty Norwex cloths for this um I do

Would also look beautiful just natural like this or you could stain it and we have different styles there’s a Shelf with a pegboard along with another size of a peg board and a single hook and then a towel holder recently we got to know a local Amish couple that’s

Actually going to make these for us um they do a phenomenal job with them they’re definitely high quality pieces there will be more details in the listings but make sure to check them out if you’re at all looking for a piece like this for your home

I’m going to switch my black chairs out for white ones years ago I had painted four of these white they were black initially and sometimes I like to switch uh just you know depending on what look I want in here and right now I think white is going to look better for the

End chair I’m going to use one of these upholstered ones it’s one I’ve had for years it’s not in the best shape anymore but I think just for something different it’ll look kind of good to add some fabric here at the table and then I’m also going to dig out my old fabric

Bench cover I made a couple years ago you might remember seeing it in a video but I’ve had it since I’ve had the black chairs I didn’t you know want it on here actually wanted the black bench but I think for the look that I want in here

Kind of that you know vintage cottagey look I think this cover is going to look good and this is a drop cloth cover that I had made uh just basically a piece of fabric with some ruffle along the edge and some ties to fasten it to bring an actual air of spring into

The space I dug out some daffodil bulbs that were starting to grow on the outside uh yes that’s always so exciting for me I’ve never really brought them in like this and put them in a container I don’t know will they actually you know

Bloom for me but going to try it I even just like the look of the greenery when fixing up groupings like this I like to have accent pieces in groups of three that are different heights from each other and I wanted a Clos to be my third piece and all the

Mine that I had around here were the same height as that Greenery and I needed something just a bit smaller so here I’m just making my own or putting it together by flipping a glass container upside down and gluing a wooden knob on the bottom which in this

Case the top and then I’ll use a wooden round that actually matches the knob as my bottom part and I have these little wooden birds that I’m going to set inside the clothes I think they’re so cute and these are a brand new product on the Etsy Shop they’ll come in a set

Of two and they will be the natural color but in this case I’m going to paint mine I think they will stand out better if I paint them white for my centerpiece I’m going to use the lid of an old cheese box as a tray and I have a little picture of

Dried roses that I thought would be fitting if you like this little cutting board this is also something that we’re going to stock on the Etsy shop I think it turned out pretty cute I’ll have all of these links Down Below in the description box for You I got to say I’m loving the new look in here I wonder what you guys think so far I haven’t regretted putting up this wallpaper even though it was just a bit scary for me kind of took me out of my comfort zone but absolutely love it and

Honestly I think I can get away with it being that everything else is white I think if I’d have too many other colors like if the trim was brown or the wall was another color it just wouldn’t look right to me but being that everything

Else is nice and white I love how it looks with that before ending here I wanted to show you a few St Patrick’s Day decorations we have on the Etsy shop this is something new for us this year we’ve never done it before we’ve had requests for it I just didn’t get around

To it but we do have a couple of items uh first off we have this Irish moss candle and guys this smells so good like I often say I wish I could get the smell to you but the best way I can describe it is it almost smells like cologne

There’s a mixture of citrus in there there’s also Jasmine and lavender along with a light musk and I think that’s kind of why it reminds me of cologne but I do smell a little bit of Floral in there too I can’t really describe it but it is probably one of my new favorite

Scents even though I’m calling these St Patrick’s Day candles they would of course last well into the spring I think the green color is really fitting to that I did get around to making some soap for St Patrick’s Day not a whole lot but I am in love with all of these

Scents I wish I had more of them and the only scent that is familiar that some of you might remember is we had a Willow and Ivy and that is this one here it’s called lucky charm and I wanted to stick with names that are fitting to St

Patrick’s Day but the other two are different scents the one is more of a Mossy smell to me it seems more like a guy scent although anyone could use it and then the third one here is probably one of my favorites I think I’m going to

Continue it into the spring season it is the Citrus Grove combined with chamomile oh it smells so good it’s probably one of my favorites I know I often go on and on about soap but I just love it I love to make it I love how my basement smells

After I’m finished uh so much fun and lastly this adorable wooden Shamrock which I think turned out great this Shamrock is available stained with a design on it or unfinished this isn’t St Patrick’s Day related necessarily but we do have some teacup candles in stock

Right now uh we ended up using some of the oils that we had for Valentine’s Day that were still left over um it’s always handy to have empty teacups on hand for some of those scents all smell amazing so make sure to head on over to the Etsy
