Thank you What are the dining options on corner of the Seas in this video we’re going to explore all the options available on this incredible ship from fine dining to Quick bites we’ll explore everything there is to know about dining on corner of the Seas but that’s not all if you hang around at

The very end I’ll share a tip on how to massively improve your experience in the Windjammer Buffet the question we get asked and we see online is what is the food like is it any good after 13 nights at Quantum of the Seas we have no hesitation saying yes the food is very

Good I’m going to provide a review on most of the free or included dining options and a couple of the paid or specialty restaurants if you want to jump to a particular review click on the timestamps in the descriptions below and with that out of the way let’s go the

Main dining room starting off with the main dining room or MDR there’s in fact four main dining rooms on Quantum of the Seas on Deck three they’re Chic and Grand which are mainly for the set time dining with either a 615 or 8 30 option and then on Deck 4 you’ll find American

Icon and silt we had any time dining so we were in either of these two most of the time overall we were very happy with the quality of the food and the variety available there were at least six options for entree and around 10 to 12

For Mains there were a handful of in what they call Staples on the menu that don’t change and there was always at least one or two vegetarian options the dessert menu also provided a good range to choose from starting with your traditional cheese platter through the moist chocolate cake smothered in warm

Chocolate sauce yeah your waiters will provide you with a selection of fresh bread rolls a glass of ice water in the menus small but noticeable difference was the butter for the rolls it’s a little thing but on princess we found the butter to be in curl straight out of the fridge

And very very hard on the corner of the seeds is the actual opposite pre-packaged lure packed butter at room temperature which was soft almost runny not better not worse just different and just one of those little things you notice between Cruise Lines overall we were happy with the service

From the weight staff we found them attentive but not intrusive meals were delivered timely and we found them to range in temperature from quite warm to bordering on hot we had heard a lot of complaints about the temperature of the food in the main dining room but that

Wasn’t our experience it was really hot but we also never had what we’d call a cold meal very similar to most pubs in Australia we’ve dined at some meals or portions of meals are ready sooner than others sit under a heat lamp can be served sort of only warm but overall we

Were very happy with the main dining room when we chose steaks they were cooked to our request and were really good the quality of the meat in general was surprisingly good is everyone watching those good meat is getting very expensive at the moment and to get this quality of steaks on board really

Surprised us we loved all the meat we ordered every piece was just melt in your mouth soft now occasionally the veggies were either a bit underdone or a bit overcooked but not to the point of being yeah Seafood such as the prawn or shrimp cocktail and lobster tails had

Obviously been thawed from Frozen but they were still presented beautifully and tasted wonderful we enjoyed the food and service so much in the main dining room that we also had several lunges and I had brekkie almost every morning the breakfast and lunch menus were equally impressive and came with the same level

Of service and attention provided at night for breakfast most days I started with a fruit platter before enjoying poached or scrambled eggs on toast with hash browns mushrooms and a grilled tomato and of course bricky on a cruise ship is not complete without a pastry so

I ended up with either an apple or Berry Danish most days now on to the Windjammer Buffet buffets located up on Deck 14 and for a quick and easy meal or snack it was brilliant the Windjammer is at the rear of of deck 14 and it is huge it’s

So big in fact that a lot of people stayed in the front section just inside the main entrances we were always able to find a seat further in or on the outside area on the warmer days and nights the food options were very similar to what we’ve experienced before every meal

Had some sort of a roast meat with the usual roast veggies a large salad bar with pre-made salads many types or there is the option of fresh ingredients to make your own just how you like it did take us a few days to find it but there

Is a hamburger and hot dog section along with hot chips if you’re just looking for some comfort food and I’ve got to tell you the hamburgers were really good the dessert bar Bakery section were both huge with tons of options dessert by it’s sugar-free and no added sugar

Options and a small number of gluten-free options there is generally a couple of different soups to choose from each night along with loads of croutons and fresh bread which made for a great starter always a pasta station with a couple of different types of pasta to

Choose from I am a 100 pasta Pig I love my pasta and ate a lot of it on board but I have to say pasta is one of the foods in every buffet that does suffer from being cooked and sitting under eight Lambs gets a big luggy and sticky

And it’s certainly not our damn day but obviously I’m not complaining as I still ate plenty of it each night there was a theme all the usual options are still available but one of the stations will be set up with say Indian or Mexican or Spanish we enjoy these thing nights and

Used it to try foods that we normally wouldn’t as someone who likes Curry and chili and hot food what I did notice was that to my taste buds a lot of the food especially things that I expected have some heat in they just didn’t in the fact that food was almost Bland Pauline

On the other hand thought it had the perfect amount of spice or heat and loved everything I think this captures the struggle the chefs have when trying to feed four and after 1000 guests every day if you cater for the percentage you like spice and Heat or the ones who hate

It or the ones in between now I guess they have to play the odds and just go for the middle of the road and make sure you stay to the end I’m going to share a tip we learned from very experienced Cruisers years ago about how to make

Your Buffet experience just that little bit better believe me this changed our enjoyment of the buffet and took it to a whole new level now moving on to Sorrento’s pizza and what can I say about a free pizza rather than yum yum yum yum yum I really enjoyed the pizza

From Sorrento’s on Deck four I never had it as a meal but often an afternoon snack or a bit of late night supper what I really liked was the fact there was always fresh pizza and you can grab however many pieces you wanted on many occasions I just grabbed two pieces for

A snack but if you did want a full Pizza they would cook it fresh for you and we saw many people with pizza boxes especially later in the night the pizza is a thin base New York style pizza with tomato sauce and cooked in the pizza oven right in front of you they

Constantly make margarita and pepperoni pizzas and have a third type that changed every day this third Pizza the one that alternated or changed I saw Hawaiian vegetarian Supreme surrendos is open from around 11 30 a.m to 2 A.M on both sea and Port days plenty of seating

Both inside and around and in the grand Esplanade and we never had any issues getting a seat and before we move on to the next one if you’re enjoying the video don’t forget to smash that like button and hit subscribe to help out the channel and

Keep you informed when we post our next one next up in the free eating is Cafe Promenade now Cafe Promenade serves two functions in my mind firstly for those early Rises desperate for a caffeine hit you can grab a Lovato filtered coffee or tea here 24 7. to be honest

This coffee is pretty ordinary but it is coffee and I drank it every day until the espresso coffee started at 6am secondly they have a great variety of snacks and cakes 24 7. during the day they often have little sliders and sandwiches we enjoyed for a light lunch

Or afternoon tea there was rarely more than a 60 second wait to be served and the food was always very fresh and tasty Pauline and I highly recommend grabbing a buy to Cafe Promenade one thing we found interesting with food is free and Cafe Promenade but if you walk straight

Across the atrium or the grand Esplanade to The Patisserie very similar food and cakes there all have a nominal fee one day we grabbed a couple of chocolate eclairs and they were a dollar each at Cafe Promenade beautiful cheesecake was free I don’t quite understand the logic

But I’ll take the free overpay all day every day moving on to the solarium Bistro this is a little gem we read before boarding day that the solarium Bistro was a place to head on embarkation day for a quite a quicker meal and it was very good advice

I don’t remember exactly but when we got there just after one o’clock there was only one or two other couples there at embarkation day very different to the Frantic semi-panic confused and lost people in the Windjammer Buffet located at the front of the ship on Deck 14 the solarium was a quite little

Paradise at any time and the bistro gives another great dining option basically just a much smaller version of the Windjammer where no kids are allowed with a lot of the same food as the Windjammer but across the 13 days it was often very easy to get a beautiful table

At a window watching the Seas Roll by while having a much less frantic lunch than in the Windjammer Buffet next up we come to the seaplex dog house and who doesn’t love a hot dog the C Flex doghouse located in the seaplex on Deck

15 was a great spot for a quick lunch or a snack this unique venue set up looking like a trendy food truck it adds an extra Touch of excitement to the dining experience on board something a bit different it was open between 11 30 and

7 pm on sea days and 2 p.m and 7pm on Port days we would delighted to find that the hot dogs and buns were incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor you’ll have the option to choose from a variety of four different hot dogs each with its own distinct taste

And Flair and then of course they’ve got the option to fried onions and sauerkraut plus help yourself mustard tomato sauce and a pickle relish and trust me that pickle relish is an absolute Game Changer Dog House gets a great big thumbs up from us moving right

On to the Coastal Kitchen sadly as we are not staying in a Swede we didn’t have access to the complimentary restaurant for sweet guests and Pinnacle members Coastal kitchens located on Deck 14 in front of the Windjammer Buffet chatting with some of our new friends we made on board who were Pinnacle members

They raved about Coastal Kitchen apparently there’s an extensive dinner menu that rotates on a seven day basis meaning that the menu on days one and eight will be the same days two or nine the same Etc you can’t really provide any more insight than that and lastly we’ve got room service and well

What can we say about room service we only tried to order once and that was on the very last night of the cruise we’d finished packing we’re really tired and couldn’t be bothered going out so when we rang to place our order we was

Told we were told it was a minimum of 90 to 120 Minutes well we didn’t go ahead with our order and went to the American Icon main dining room instead having said that the menu provided a good choice and we were looking forward to it and judging by the amount of trays

In the hallway later in the evenings I think a lot of people did make use of the room service during the cruise but sadly it looks like we left it too late and missed out so something summary of the free options we spent 30 nights on

Quantum of the Seas and struggled to on fully explore all the free options overall we were really impressed with the incredible variety and the auctions on board from semi-formal in the main dining room to hot dogs in the seaflex and a multitude of options in between Pauline and I confident you will find

Something to make your taste buds smile and now moving on to the paid options before we do if you’re enjoying the video don’t please don’t forget to hit the like button and subscribe and keep updated when the next one comes out now the first of the paid or specialty

Restaurant reviews that we will be doing is Wonderland we had heard so much about one and the opinions that we were from people were so varied ranging from oh my God the best dining experience ever right to inedible horrible food so from watching other YouTube videos

One thing we were sure of it was going to be different and it most certainly was the experience starts the moment you check in and get shown to your seat for the night your waiter is a costume wearing a crushed velvet jacket long tails and the decor of this place is

Incredible every aspect of Wonderland is designed to take you into the Alice in Wonderland experience the way to hand you the menu to Gold picture frame and it’s completely blank you sort of think yourself what am I supposed to do with this the answer is that you have to

Paint it with the provided brush and water and then voila the menu magically appears and is based on five different themes you get to choose dishes based on the five natural elements Earth sea fire ice and Sun well you sort of get to choose our waiter and I believe it’s the

Same across the Royal Caribbean Fleet suggests that we let them choose the entrees which we agreed to we did choose our own Main and the dessert fixed our dinner starts with crispy crab cones and tomato water we both enjoyed the crab cones even though the avocado mousse really overpowered any Taste of

The crab the Tomato water was very very different it’s a clear liquid that tastes like tomato served in a test tube our waiter went to Great Lengths explaining that tomato water is made from the second pressing of the tomatoes in fact everything that was served came

With a story about what where and how it was made this was a nice touch I like the tomato juice but it was a big mess from Pauline next up was eggs in a bird’s nest of deep fried vermicelli noodles served under a smoked lid the eggs were nice the noodles were

Different but okay the eggs didn’t absorbed more of the smoke taste than I expected but it wasn’t overpowering we both gave this course another pass the next course was a potted shrimp or prawn Brussels these wrapped in the same deep fried vermicelli noodles with a chili dipping foam we both enjoyed the

Shrimp slash prawn and I found the chili frame to be well balanced and had enough heat but still not overpowering the taste of the prawn Barnabas loved it next up was the baby vegetables in soil however much to our disappointment it ended up being a distance fell well short of our

Expectations the presentation was nothing short of stunning but unfortunately for us the taste did not live up to it the vegetables were sour almost pickled and the dirt tasted like well dirt it was beautifully presented but just warm into our lighting the much-anticipated liquid Lobster was up next and it was remarkable absolutely

Stunning we both loved it the serving size was simply just too small though we could have eaten a full Bowl the flavors were complex and complemented each other the small piece of lobster with the bone broth and a sprinkler caviar worked absolute Perfections one of the best

Things I’ve ever tasted one more to go before the mains and it’s the chilled spicy tuna in a small lime another dish that just knocked it out of the park multitude of flavors are Blended together incredibly well the cold of the granita the tartness of the lime and the

Fresh tuna just worked and left us wanting more another clear Widow for both of us and the other main course I chose the Chicken and the Egg and Pauline went for the snap crackle and pork both were spectacular cooked to absolute perfection moist and full of flavor what set that sets this

Apart from so many other meals is the quality presentation and taste of the side dishes and the sauces the food combinations sound a little odd but they just work so well together the grand finale is dessert and there are four and they will bring them all if you want but

We were already past feeling full so just opted for one being the flagship choice I think it’s called the globe or Earth something like that it’s a decadent chocolate sphere set on a bed of Rice Krispies with fresh berries warm caramel sauces and drizzled over the chocolate

Earth as it melts the next surprises revealed salted caramel ice cream on a peanut butter roulette on a chocolate sponge cake absolute pure decadence on so many levels it was divine and the perfect way to end this foodie Adventure thinking about lighter yes there were some dishes we didn’t enjoy but that’s

Not unexpected when you consider the menu and how the chefs are pushing the boundaries into food combinations and styles of presentation the heads were many and they were so good so exceptional that we give Wonderland a huge thumbs up and their personal recommendation there were several of the specialty

Restaurants we just didn’t have time to get to including chops Grill Jamie’s Italian and Izumi did manage to grab some photos and videos one day early we’re in the process of booking another cruise on the quantum when she’s back in Australia next summer and we will tick

All of these venues off that but until then here’s the menus and I’ll look into each of them next up we have the noodle shop and of all the dining venues on the quantum this one was a complete train wreck the noodle shops located in a

Small corner on Deck 14 next to the main pool it’s a specialty restaurant meaning everything’s at a cost and believe us we wouldn’t go back there if it was free flavorless and bland is about the best we could say about the food chicken satay skewers that were

Overcooked dry and tough with the satay sauce the consistency of water with a taste to match we say save your money and your time eat somewhere else very disappointing just put a line through the noodle shop and go elsewhere next up we have La Patisserie located opposite Sorrento’s pizza and Cafe Promenade my

Patisserie is a place to go for your coffee and small Stacks including a range of chocolate eclairs that were absolutely worth the one dollar each when they open at 6am to late morning this venue is absolutely flat out with the espresso coffee and the hundreds of different variants now available we have

Our coffee lactose free and really enjoy this coffee we were sipping through two or three lattes a day if you’re a coffee drinker the coffee cards are well worth it we went through three in 13 days food selection is good but very small we enjoyed more than one

Cake or chocolate eclair for an afternoon tea very little seating inside but plenty out the front and throughout the nearby Grand S100 highly rated and highly appreciated venue for that morning wake up coffee big thumbs up and finally the chef’s table and we have left the best until last the chef’s

Table we had read and watched so many rave reviews that we had high expectations of both the experienced and the food quality and we were not disappointed chef’s table is located inside chops Grill in a private room from the moment you step inside you are treated to Five

Star service and five-star food oh my God OMG it was incredible this room oozes class with dark paneling low lighting Illuminating the sparkling white tablecloth and immaculately laid table with a range of glasses Cutlery and plates all 12 of our group arrived on time and we quickly started chatting

And getting to know each other Pauline and I were a chef table virgins as were three other couples just leaving four experienced Cruisers who assured us in the strongest way possible that we will not be disappointed our waiter Jameson introduced himself and gave a thorough but short explanation of how the night

Would run and with that we’re into the fixed five course meal first up was a delicate scallop capacity which is impeccably presented really and tasted incredible the only problem we had or the concern that we had at this point that they had set the bar so high with

That first dish that we just hope they could maintain it with each course the head chef Samir came out and gave an overview of the meal including what was in it the method used to prepare it and each course came with a matched wine that was also accompanied with an

Explanation of what it was where it came from and what we could expect from it next up was a smoked tomato soup that was simply perfection accompanied by garlic Focaccia croutons and a sprinkler parmesan the depth of flavor in this suit was incredible and I certainly wanted more course three and my favorite

Seafood was on its way a main lobster salad served with palm Hearts pineapple cilantro and vanilla dressing the lobster was cooked perfectly and while I was initially skeptical of the dressings it all worked incredibly well another stunning serving between the food and the wine I could already feel my stomach

Filling up and we had the biggest courses still to come roasted Branzino came out for the fourth course and this was my least favorite serving but in no way was it bad it just wasn’t quite up to the standard of the earlier servings I think Branzino is a common term in

Europe but here in Australia we refer to it by the name sea bass as I said it definitely wasn’t bad in the presentation with grilled zucchini and peppers and lemon confit was good with the Branzino cooked beautifully into juicy white flaky meat next up was the mouth-watering and five-star grilled

Filet mignon I don’t know where to start all 12 of us had our meat cooked at absolute perfection how we ordered it which range from rare through to medium to well the Truffle potato puree the asparagus and bourday sauce complemented each other and then meat just beautiful

It was simply an incredible meal in my opinion this dish alone was worth a 99 U.S we paid for it it was really that good I had a slight slight tender disappointment when I realized the dessert was the same as we enjoyed in Wonderland nine days earlier the world

Chocolate Globe we weren’t disappointed with the presentational flavors once the world was served along with a beautiful hot caramel sauce causing the same reaction as it did Wonderland by now every one of us had a ridiculously full stomach and just needed a few minutes for it all to settle after six courses

And six glasses of wine we probably didn’t need a cocktail to finish the night off while they waited javison did some magic with a deck of cards but we all had it anyway after a little while Chef Samir comes back to thank us wishes us well for the remainder of the cruise

And it was only then that I checked my watch to see that if we had been there for three hours and it just absolutely flew with it between the ambience you know our dining Partners the conversation the food the service and probably the amount of wine the time had

Simply flown by in our opinion the chef’s table is an absolute must do Pauline and I are absolutely sure you won’t be disappointed and as promised in the intro here’s our tip for eating at the Windjammer buffet that we think will make your meals just that little bit

More enjoyable we used to walk into a buffet grab a plate start strolling around looking at the food deciding what we wanted and grabbing it as we went we then start looking around for the table and by the time we sat down here we think it was Stone Cold what we do now

Is we find a table first grab a couple of drinks along with a book or a copy of the daily program leave those on the table to reserve the table if you know what I mean you can even grab the knives and forks and spoons in this serviette

On your way in put those down and just let people know that someone’s taking that table we’ll then go up into the main part of the buffet and walk around and decide what we want to have before we start getting our food so that way by

The time we’ve decided what we want to have we grab a plate go to each of the different food stations grab our food and then immediately walk straight back to our table sit down and by doing this we find that the food is still at least

Warm closer to hot and it just tastes so much better like stir fries Newt and noodles and roast meat just tastes a lot better when it’s still warm bordering on hot a little bit of advice hopefully that’ll help make your next experience in the buffet that little bit nicer if

You do like it please leave a comment some comments below and of course if you’ve got any questions about any of the options or the dining options on Quantum of the Seas hit us up in the comments below and I’ll get back to every single one of you foreign okay

  1. Great vid!! I can attest to the Coastal Kitchen being amazing. Always very quiet at breakfast and lunch, but need to reserve for dinner. Best to have a standing reservation for every night. The food is exquisite! A big jump up from the MDR and I need to book a suite always now, just for Coastal Kitchen.

  2. on our last cruise, Brisbane to Honolulu this past April, 2nd day into the 17 days, I started to order early morning complimentary breakfast, just a little wake up , it was fantastic, fruit, cereal, toast, and it was warm, it was a lovely start to the day, sitting on the balcony and going to breakfast later after the hoards and left.
Loved you presentation of the Chef's Table, always thought it would be too fancy for my husband and myself, my mouth was watering, am definitely going to buy for my next trip.
With Wonderland, we have done it once before, thought it was fun but ya know, been there done that. You must do Jamie''s, even if only for a lunch, it was great. Can't wait to watch more of your blogs thanks Lynn

  3. Enjoyed the video, thank you for the information but I noticed you didn't comment about the cafe at 270, had you not tried there?

  4. When I get onboard on the Ovation I will be trying out Chops Grille and Giovanni’s paid restaurants will book those

  5. Loved your review thanks! Will be going on the QOTS on Jan 29th and very excited. I was especially happy to see your tip on navigating the cruise buffet so as to be able to enjoy your food hot! 😁 My daughter and her fiancé will be going on their first cruise very soon (actually while hubby and I are on ours but a different ship 🤣) and I have already taught her this exact tip. Great minds think alike!! This upcoming cruise will be my 14th so I have kind of got a few things down pat! 😎
