Join me “Stick Man Stick Steve” on the 5th day of our epic 15-day cruise aboard the incredible Marella Explorer 2! 🛳️ Today, we’ve docked at the enchanting city of Trieste, Italy, after cruising from the picturesque Ravenna on our 4th day.
🏰 Our day was filled with adventure as we embarked on the “Postonja Caves and Predjama Castle” excursion booked directly with TUI Marella. At just £62 each, it was a full day of awe-inspiring sights and unforgettable moments. 🤩 The Postonja caves and Predjama Castle in Slovenia stole our hearts, and we highly recommend this excursion to fellow wanderers!
🇮🇹 Although we docked in Trieste, we couldn’t resist the allure of the Slovenian gems, so we saved exploring Trieste for another time. The decision was worth it, as our day was filled with breathtaking landscapes and historical wonders!

🍽️ Back on the Marella Explorer 2, we indulged in a delightful dining experience at Vsta, the free à la carte restaurant on Deck 5. Our taste buds were treated to a culinary adventure! Thank thank you for joining me this is day five of our two Mel Cruz and we are in Italy teress uh just using Google Maps zooming into the uh cruise port at tries so you get a bit of an indication of what’s round when you’re interest this is drwn footage of the
Port of tourest now while we’re in tourest we didn’t actually do any excursions in tour we wanted to do an Excursion to Pama caves and uh pajama cast in Slovenia so unfortunately we didn’t get off and see any of Tess but above is some footage just showing you
How beautiful tress actually is if you want to stay there and look Around this is the Excursion we did uh this was £62 and we bought this directly with tu Mel you can bought this excursion by logging into your Tu account or book this while on the cruise ship this is a bird’s eye view of the the port of tries using Google Maps it
Shows you where pajama Castle is I probably wouldn’t recommend actually doing this excursion on your own just due to the distance I think it took around about 1 Hour 1 and a half hours to get to uh ped Castle this is me and J making our way to the padama castle it’s probably
Around about a 10minute walk so if you’ve got any mobility issues you might struggle with a walk at this point here if any of you need the restroom or toilet on your right hand side where that sign is there’s a little road and they’re just up that Road breing Bre taking my Breing okay when entering the uh pajama Castle you’re given a headset uh along with a little keypad now when walking around the castle on the walls there is a a plaque with a number on and that plaque with that number on you type that into the little keypad and what that does it
Brings the audio description for the parts of the castle uh that you’re at if you don’t want to listen to the audio for that particular era you can just turn off or if you’re not interested in that particular part of the castle just move on to the next One soda way too drunk to call you Up I would say on this particular Excursion if you’ve got any mobility issues I think you might struggle actually inside the castle there’s a lot of really steep High steps so wouldn’t advise if he got any mobility issues and also when on the Excursion I think we
Had roughly about 50 minutes to an hour we could have probably done with it a little bit longer maybe half an hour 40 minutes more would have been ideal uh just so we could have got rounds more of the castle and listen to more of the audio description we found due to the
Time we’re there we couldn’t listen to all the audio description for each part but we uh we loved it right before the dawn don’t have any money but this is the life and we never want to grow up I’m kissing him in the blue shirt and the converse but I’m thinking about
You maybe you’re thinking about me too bu so a way too drunk to call you up I’m chain smoking broken I don’t give up so I’m crying dancing swearing I’ll forget you kissing strangers to feel something different but I’m still you’re dancing queen so

Price and all the details about that particular Excursion o W [Applause] We’re now heading to our second part of the Excursion which is to PJ caves uh it’s again it’s around about 10 minutes walk back from the uh Castle to the coach and the next part of the uh Journey on the coach was around about 50 minutes to an hour and there’s a little
Bit of audio uh that recorded from the coach which gives you a little bit of history about the caves themselves it was carved by the pka River over millions of years often used also for such performances or for concerts because also the acoustic in this chamber is excellent in the cave you
Will see also uh a lot of those stalac ties stalac mice pillars and um the path is uh a little bit up and down you have your tickets because the tickets is the same as you received for the prama cas this is one of the main areas for
The uh pastana caves uh here you’ve got little uh restaurants to shops uh little calf bars so if you needed to buy any fridge magnets or any food or any drink you’re able to do that here it’s a bit confusing when you’re walking up from here cuz you’re looking for the caves
Well in fact you don’t really see the caves cuz it’s just a building uh on your right hand side and that’s the area that you cue to enter the Caves we didn’t wait too long in the Q2 uh getting the caves I think it was around about a 10 15 minutes because you’re with the tour guide I think you get like a a fast track access into the cave and also what I forgot to mention as well
From the cach that drops you off to the uh Pama caves you’ve probably got about a 15minute walk so again if you’ve got any M mobility issues you might struggle with the distance now when when you’re entering the caves himself it’s a bit chaotic here there’s a lot of groups
With tour guides individual people waiting to get in the caves but your toour guy will be there with a flag uh just stand in line with them and you’ll enter the caves as soon as Possible this is me and J now waiting to get on our little train that takes you around the cas now again once you’re entering a you’re told which uh train to go on there’s one on the left the one on the right the one on the left was apparently the english- speaking train
But to be honest that didn’t make any difference at all because once the train stopped and then you get off the train to walk around the case that again that was really chaotic there because we were stood around about 15 minutes 20 minutes with a group of other people and no one
Knew what was going on so eventually we just decided to walk around the caves ourself oh and by the way uh before you start laughing when you watch uh the footage of the caves they recommend that you take a jacket or a hoodie or something to put over cuz it gets really
Cold down there I’m a bit of a numpty and I forgot to bring my jacket and my hoodie so the only thing I had was a beach towel so that’s why I’m wearing a Beach Tow around me because it was very cold feel all I do is think
Cuz I’m running with these emotions stumbling out of bed what hell of a roller coaster you messing with my head I’m ending up so cless what are you trying to find I’m running with these emotions tell me what do you have Been tell me what you you Have I put my heart on the line through a phone in the night no I’m here by your side so tell me where are you now when your head is in the clouds I want to find out now cuz I’m vibing with all we have yeah

Roller coaster you messing with my head I’m ending up so clueless what are you trying to find I’m running with these emotions emotions tell me what do you Want tell me what do You tell me what to you you TR I want to know tell me what you you try to are we just wasting time I want to know tell me what do you have in Mind Nobody Else nobody else you nobody else nobody nobody nobody else you nobody else nobody else Nobody Nobody else nobody else you nobody else nobody else nobody else nobody else nobody Else and nobody [Applause] Nobody hit me like a ton of bricks doesn’t matter we go take your time and do your tricks all I do sing yeah I need you for brighter light and firmer ground when you even me love is going to set me Free now once you get off the train you’re meant to wait for a tour guide that then takes you around the cage and explains everything about it we didn’t have a tour guide or we couldn’t find the tour guide along with quite a few other people so this is why you’ll see
Us walking around by ourselves my personal opinion and this is just mine we felt that there were far too many people uh down there walking around there were large groups of uh people around the casby tour guides so you couldn’t get past them tail back so
It took a very very long time to walk around the cage I probably say the walking part was our least favorite part of it we enjoyed the train ride but not the walking around cuz it it did take a very long time yeah you can be a bird tell the stories you have
Heard and live your life today it doesn’t matter what they Say [Applause] oh At the end of the walk around the caves you’ll enter the gift shop and there’s no way you can get around this you’ve got to walk through the gift shop to get to the next train which then takes you out of the caves so if you want to get
Anything from the caves any magnets or anything you can buy your Merchandise we’ve now left uh P Arma caves and we are going for something to eat I forgot to do any film or any footage of this so I do apologize but again around this particular area there are places you can eat and get a Drink of the P caves and the location from there to Port of triest well after a long day on the uh Excursion we’re now headed to the Italian uh called Vista I The thank you very much H man hello olive oil and vinegar and fantastic thank you very much can I offer you something to drinks would you like some oh um or later you can have no worries no worries bows please uh the lasagna would you like some have please

Nice got quite a sharp like that then that one’s the white chocolate I feel like you you can properly taste you know sometimes there’s something like white chocolate you can’t really taste the I feel like you definitely it’s not over siing really that yeah I wanted to
