Let’s talk about the bread and water which latter-day Saints partake of each Sunday in remembrance of the last supper and the atonement of Jesus Christ on the cross. What does water represent? Everything of the vine is red while water, on the other hand, is blue.
Literally, and Italian, the word divino (or divine) means “of wine.” There was plenty of water at the last supper, yes Jesus juice the water to wash the apostles feet. Why was it so essential he used red wine? Melchizedek gave Abraham bread and wine. Grape juice is even up the vine, Yet the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints use water in place of wine (vine, vino).

The only time that water is mentioned in the Scriptures in the same place as the blood of Christ is when Christ was already dead and was pierced by a sword in his side. Is that the living blood of Christ? According to Scripture, his spirit already left his body when that was done Unlike when he gave bread and wine into his apostles at the last supper.

Because symbols are very important to latter-day Saints, What does water represent anyway? Water is a sign of the goddess, the oceans, and traditionally is depicted with blue. His associate with the moon, the tides, and the mar (sea).

Water is a symbol of baptism. Was Jesus referring to baptism during the last supper when he gave them bread and wine? When latter-day Saints partake of bread and wine at their weekly sacrament, they say that they’re renewing their baptismal covenant. Does it say anything about renewing the baptismal covenant at all in the New Testament? Is that a covenant we must renew, like renewing a book that’s checked out from the library?

By putting water in the sacrament could this be more a kin to drinking the baptism water of which are we left our sins when we were baptized?

What has God been trying to tell the Latter Day Saints through the symbols that they specifically and uniquely use in their religion? Incidentally, how many other Christian denominations use water for the blood of Christ during the sacrament or communion? Is this something unique to the Latter-day Saint religion?
