A Plunger of Ranch?? Giligin’s Big Quadruple Pizza Challenge in Scottsdale, Arizona!!

American professional eater Randy Santel versus Giligin’s Bar’s “Big and Randy” Quadruple Stacked Pizza Challenge hosted by Giligin’s Bar in Old Town Scottsdale, Arizona which is part of the greater Phoenix, AZ area in the USA!! Seven weeks after getting home from the European sightseeing and eating challenge trip with @KatinaEatsKilos, I left on a 2-week trip and attempted 6 huge and delicious food challenges around Dallas (Texas), Denver (Colorado), and Scottsdale (Arizona). For food challenge #5 of six, I headed back to Giligin’s Bar located in the Old Town area of Scottsdale, Arizona which is part of the greater Phoenix area. Back in January 2018, I beat Giligin’s 144 Pizza Rolls Challenge, which is one of the many other eating challenges that Giligin’s offers regularly on the menu. This time, I was the first person to attempt and help kick off their new “Big and Randy” Quadruple Stacked Pizza Challenge and had just 30 minutes to feast on four of their homemade pizzas, stacked and topped with pizza rolls, served with an actual plunger filled with Giligin’s homemade signature ranch dressing. The Pumpkin Porter beer by Four Peaks Brewing Company drank at the end of the video was just optional. I ordered 4 different pizzas: Vegetarian with red onions and green peppers, Pepperoni, Bacon, and Sausage. The Totino’s pizza rolls were filled with cheese and bits of pepperoni. I was trying to become the first champion to win my $52 meal free plus $50 in gift certificates called “Giligin’s Bucks” to be used later, and another spot on their Wall of Fame. BIG thanks to Mike and his brother Greg the owners plus everyone with Giligin’s Bar in Old Town Scottsdale, Arizona for the wonderful food, drinks, dessert, beers, and hospitality!! This is Randy Santel “Atlas” and I am very very excited today, because I am back in the Greater Phoenix, Arizona area. We’ve got lots of people here which is much appreciated!! I’m going for overall win number 1210 and I am back here in the Old Town area of Scottsdale, part of the Greater Phoenix area. I was actually here at Giligin’s Bar many years ago. The owners, we’ve got Mike and Greg. They are brothers. They’ve had this place for like 28 years now.

They’ve got a whole bunch of food challenges on the menu, but I am helping them kick off their brand-new “Big and Randy” Quadruple Stack Pizza Challenge. Now, I’ve got 30 minutes to finish everything here. This beer is optional. It is by a local brewery called Four Peaks. It is their Pumpkin

Porter. This was filmed in October, hence the October pumpkin beer, but this quadruple stack pizza. There are four different pizzas from Giligin’s menu. The toughest part of this challenge is not going to be the pizzas or the pizza rolls. What I have here is an entire plunger of ranch. So, it’s like

Four or six ounces of ranch dressing, homemade here by Giligin’s Bar. But, there are four different pizzas. This one’s got healthy vegetables. It’s got red onions and then green peppers. One’s got bacon. One’s got pepperoni. The other’s got sausage. They say

It’s about 4-1/ 2 pounds of food here. If I fail within the 30-minute time limit, it’s going to be $52, but if I do win, I will get my entire meal for free, and I will… unfortunately no sweet T-shirt, but I’ll get my name and photo

Going out because it is day #4 here in the Old Town area of Scottsdale. I’m coming off three days of “Broski Weekend,” which is the thing I do every year at a new city around the country with a whole bunch of my high school friends. I was

Jets. [Randy] That guy is a sailor. Okay. No disrespect to Giligin’s, but I didn’t really know what I was signing up for. This pizza is freaking way better than I expected. This is very very good! The second level is the sausage. [Owner and crowd] Sausage! Sausage!

3:08. Technically, I’m done with one pizza, so we got three more to go. (crowd cheering) [Owner] One pizza down!! I haven’t had pepperoni yet, but I think I’m going to call my favorite pizza, the vegetarian one. The peppers and onions along with the cheese is delicious. [Owner] Healthy vegetables! Healthy vegetables! (crowd cheering)

This third layer, I never really said, is bacon. [Owner] Cheers for bacon!! [Randy] This has never been used as an actual plunger. I will clarify that. I do actually believe that they’re not sure. 9 minutes, 50 seconds in. We’re doing a hell of a job. I think we’ve got this. Let’s keep going. This bacon is very good. Do you crumble the bacon yourself? [Owner] Oh yeah! [Randy] Ooh okay. Nice. Not bacon bits. They actually do the bacon themselves. Alright, now we are done with three pieces of pizza. No, three pizzas! (crowd cheering) This is a Pumpkin Porter by Four Peaks. Let’s try it out. [Owner] Sweet! Four Peaks!! Oohh!! Very good!! The pizza is amazing. The ranch is delicious. Beer is good. Let’s get the rest down! Mike, the owner, did say that very few people finish one pizza, and this has four, so…

I’m setting my 2024 self up to look better on videos. This is not my best performance, but we’re going to get it. [Crowd] Oh, you’re doing great. You got this!! Come on, Randy!! [Crowd] Randy! Randy! Ranch to get not just fifty dollars in “Giligin’s Bucks,” but $100. Yeah!! [Crowd] He’s even eating the crumbs!! You have to lick the plunger!! [Randy] That probably was unsanitary, so I won’t do too much of that. We are done with the ranch. [Crowd] Nice! Easy. Easy. Originally expecting, but they say all of that weighs around four and 1/2 to five pounds, and I definitely feel it, but they actually home-made the pizzas. So, my favorite was the vegetarian, followed by the bacon and then pepperoni and sausage, not in any order, but yeah. Delicious “Big and Randy”
