  1. I just made Carbonara last night for dinner. It was amazing ,I use 4 egg yolks and felt it needed more to be more saucy (my hubby likes his pasta really saucy). I loved it though and would make it again. Son loved it too. It is so easy and so few ingedients.

  4. I guess what everyone is upset with is that the word “original” was used. Pig cheeks aren’t available in most markets folks. Specialty shops, sure. I think it’s fair to say most people don’t make special trips for pig cheeks.

  7. This is a deliberate provocation for Vincenzo's plate obviously 😂 Gennaro made an other video in which he would follow the traditional recipe

  8. It's a bit strange that Gennaro has more than one different video on youtube showing the genuinely traditional way of making carbonara that he would make this and say the same. Pancetta and parmesan is understandable as guanciale and pecorino are harder to find (though pecorino is in most supermarkets these days) but carbonara is already such a rich dish – adding a load of butter like this is going to make it ridiculously so. Not for me – just doesn't need all that butter.

  10. Garlic in carbonara? Butter? Orignal? Ahaha. I think this will be tasty. But original? Who is lying? Why this famous chefs lie about this? Cant you just be honest?
