I’m trying prison food from around the world and today we get the country of Italy well to be more specific the balata jail near Milan Italy this prison in specific runs a restaurant inside of the jail called in Galera yo sorry if I mispronounced that but that is Italian

For in prison the waiters the dishwashers the chefs are all inmates and it’s also one of the best reviewed restaurants in milanda inmates also get paid around $11,000 a month plus tips the owner believes that it’s a great way to rehabilitate criminals but you know teaching them to follow the rules

Greeting guests and it’s overall just a good way to rate them in society one of the dishes that they make at this restaurant is risotto so you know I’m just assuming that they eat the food they make I don’t think I’d mind being locked up if I was cooking and eating

Like this every day it’s my first time ever making risotto don’t know if I did it justice or not but you know tastes pretty good Italian prisons man but when a prisoner come out of Michelin star chefs they get out of prison they just become like rolls run out chefs
