We explored the transformation of giant factories equipped with the most advanced technology of its period into Abandoned Places in this episode. To shed light on the history of this transformation, we stopped by the factory where Bugatti, the world’s fastest automobile, was born. Then we arrived at the track of the Autodromo di Casale Monferrato in Italy, where supercars once performed their skills. After witnessing the pinnacle of the auto industry, we visited the car cemetery hidden in the Polish woods. We watched as not only cars were left to rot, but also life-saving fire engines. The roads led us to the trains that had witnessed World War II. Then we came across a space shuttle that was designed and abandoned in Kazakhstan’s deserts in the years when human beings started their adventure in space.

Sh is GRE for Bravo move to your position J Since our journey began we’ve encountered many intriguing Tales we take to the road crossing Germany and Italy scouring steps vast mountain ranges and remote towns for hospitals and hotels the world has forgotten the breadcrumbs first lead us to these secluded Woodlands about 30 kilm outside of Berlin hidden amid the looming Oak and Linden trees sits the hot grab its red brick facades crumble and the roof tiles have succumbed to gravity broken windows gape creepily from between the overgrown branches little moves here but this sanatorium comes replete with a colored history one which belies its current state These lonely hallways have heard the Clashing of competing ideologies and the whales of the sick frustrated cries of doctors seeking to alleviate suffering Echo throughout patient steps were accompanied by chilling moans and blood soaked coughs they came with night sweats and fever [Applause] Dreams [Applause] tuberculosis caught up with them in the late 1800s the epidemic spread Imperial Germany discontent was mounting sickness was Rife in the Empire the bottomless appetite of capitalism was condemning the working class to widespread poverty and disease particularly tuberculosis patients were subjected to long and arduous treatment those who survived were

Transferred to prepare its patients for life after treatment the hospice Incorporated classes in gardening and handicrafts music and literature then the Nazis came to power bringing with them the second world war tuberculosis mortality rates soared to 250 times pre-war Levels by 1945 the sanatorium had become a military

Hospital in a Germany divided between a communist East and a democratic West as the Soviet Union struggles to maintain its Empire in The Winds of the the Cold War the buildings were left to their own Fate now it sits neglected dust and Rubble gather waiting for the woods to creep swallowing it forever in Woodlands at the edge of Berlin there lies one of the city’s most iconic abandoned hospitals it has a most turbulent story behind it the Helios clinicum berin book hospital was opened in the early 1900s

When Germany’s industrial and econom economic power had grown to match Britain’s ethnic tensions were upsetting the balances of power in Imperial Europe the first world war erupted just a few years after the hospital opened its doors following the axe’s powers defeat in the second World War the Democratic Republic in East Berlin began

Administering the Hospital all of a sudden it became popular among communist military officials and bureaucrats so the Communists invested heavily in it after the collapse of the East German regime the hospital opened to serve a new unified Germany it was peaceful for a while but then it faced the reality of a new

Age the hospital’s facilities no longer able to meet the growing needs of the 21st century fell into disrepair the only master in these Halls was Silence Helos clinicum managed to survive not only two world wars but the rise and fall of Communism but if this Symphony of solitude continues its demise is not far Off It’s surprising to find planes in the middle of a plateau more so when next to an abandoned restaurant these Wing Giants looked as though they had made forc Landings in the fields that stretched as far as the eye could see we discovered them here in the commune of villa marzana Southwest

Of Venice a creative investor named Gigi sta had brought them here sta worked in a nursing home but wanted to go into business he noticed that his elderly Ward’s interest was in watching the planes go by he found a peculiarly delicious way to let them experience it themselves he fulfilled his dream by

Placing the metal Birds a few kilometers outside the city this dream it could have been a last Harrah for people at the edge of life [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] the restaurant’s concept is inspired by superlatives on one hand the most advanced technology of the new era modern airplanes on the other the height of art they wanted to offer customers a menu of freedom and Fine Art sinking all his life savings into the Venture sta bought discarded

Planes replicas of Michelangelo and da Vinci adorned the walls the restaurant consisted of two airplanes a helicopter and of course a control tower tables were dressed meals prepared it was ready for takeoff there was only one big big problem although sta had scrupulously considered every detail he had messed up

On official permits the opening was postponed more challenges arose as time went on nature was having its way with the planes Finally the metal birds were left to rust at the edge of the road it wasn’t a mere delay flights were cancelled indefinitely we’ve set our course for a place with an intriguing reputation the Paragon Hotel once one of Italy’s most famous spots the Paragon Hotel was a unique example of neoclassic

Architecture do not let its current pale facade fool you before it closed its doors it was glittered with the Glamorous Bourgeois Italy’s Rich parked their fancy cars in the courtyard of the four-story hotel entered the grand ballroom and spent the night smoking cigars and sipping wine and whiskey every detail of the hotel

Sparked gossip the ballroom was famous for its opulent white drapes hanging flowing from the ceiling The ceilings were decorated with gold the staircases seemed to reach into Infinity it’s all dark narrow paths now the labyrinthine hall spread through the building like black veins without the dazzling lights it seems dungeon likee now the walls are decorated with Street artists disturbing works the gloomy corridors lead to rooms

That look like War zones not so long ago one had to pay up to 1,000 to spend a night here now the price for staying in any one of of the 110 empty rooms isn’t cash it’s Bravery let’s go until the global economic crisis of 2008 the hotel had served for almost 100 years but the minute it went into the red it was abandoned not one of its former guests tried to save it everyone was Gone only the birds here unnoticed from the beginning loyally remain Behind in our search for deserted Hotel hotels we find ourselves in a Mountain Village the man who reluctantly greets us is the hotel’s caretaker even though he insists that filming is currently forbidden we’re determined to uncover the secrets in the midst of the black forest here it is before us Hunter Hotel The

Mysterious Mansion that stars in hunting stories and fairy tales in the mountains of Germany its Gothic Towers is reaching Towards the Sky the hotel’s history dates back to the 1800s Made of Stone and Timber its architecture is so harmonious with its surroundings it almost Blends into the trees

Even before we see the interior our excitement grows who knew what awaited us it was more than we had hoped to find the Magnificent Salon smelling of solid wood transported us to the Past Wow it was built as a hunting Mansion 200 years ago the stuffed animal trophies looking at us from every corner made that obvious enough we closed our eyes to hear the tramping of hunting boots the smell of the sharp odor of gunpowder it was a Haven for hunters until the

1930s when it was turned into a resort the passing years seasons and flow of guests weren’t disrupted but continued to enrich the hotel’s history that is Until Dark Days finally arrived the Nazi regime World War II and the ensuing Cold War took many things from the hotel people came not for a

Holiday but to escape from prying eyes the hotel insulated so well by the Black Forest it was impossible to hear the bombs in a corner of the dining room old portraits hung by a piano unplayed for decades religious symbols clung to the walls like estranged specters trying to guard It the stairs led us to a bizarre pile of chairs they seemed to cling together waiting to crumble away the dusty Halls led to Rooms the rooms were brimming with vestages of the past It was all becoming a Blur the more we tried to understand the events so we could explain what we saw the more lost in detail we became crucifixes were everywhere there was a terrifying baby carriage the hotel was a Vortex pulling us further in even as we tried to escape

It we realized that it didn’t want us to leave yet it had more to show Us J It was completely vacated in the mid 1990s to those that had the nerve to visit it whispered of its loneliness and cried for the return of its former glory in every way it was a hotel of Melancholy and despair the impact of the hunter Hotel

Was still with us on our way to our next location in Germany we had to pull ourselves together and go on because the place we were about to go had a story much the same as the previous the sturhan hotel hotel located in the village of bad mberg it opened in

1770 we knew that it was only recently abandoned a few years ago while roaming the inky black Halles we expected the rooms to be mostly in near perfect Condition some of them really did look as if they had just been vacated but some seem to Sag with the weight of the Ages it had been a quiet place where Natural Springs were plentiful and the facility functioned as a Spa and Wellness Center for many years but The Changing Times and clients need for novelty were putting pressure on thean the hotel resisted into the 2000s until it could no longer compete with

The modern facilities opening around it even its old guests no longer preferred it the sturhan was forced to close its shutters in the spring of 2018 defeated All some memories are fresh untouched wine glasses eerily seem to wait for thirsty guests in the dining room Stephen King wrote that guests left psychic marks on hotels in his horror novel The Shining hotel rooms listen they feel know the hidden intentions good or evil and the whispers are absorbed into the

Walls if you listen close enough you begin to hear those Whispers wandering the kitchen we pictured the chefs sharpening their knives slicing meat from the bone we felt the waiters pass us carrying wine glass glasses full of red wine to the Guests is scen for go Bravo Z move to your 1 Ran aroli invest all his life on this project because he start to dream to open another time Bugatti in 50s because in the same years when Bugatti uh Clos in France he opened his first officina and he was a CH he was very young he was

18 years old and he start to dream okay if no one do it I could uh open another time Bugatti and he worked all life to arrive in ‘ 80s to have the money to open this Factory he invest all his money to open it and after someone killed it Yes it’s great to have people like you that come and want to tell the story this is uh this is our real value because without you we we don’t do nothing no yes and as well now thank to you that come we uh we have the energy

To continue because if you don’t have no one let’s see what you do you don’t have the the the the energy to do it when Italian industrialist Romano artioli took over from the Bugatti family and decided to produce a super automobile he knew he was in for a major battle with

Competitors he couldn’t win this battle without a stronghold so he began construction on this blue Factory an architectural masterpiece on the day this Factory’s Foundation was laying a tragic and soon to be shortlived story began atore Bugatti’s Legacy was to live on in this facility for this reason Beyond its

Technology bricks and mortar the factory was imbued with emotion it was designed with care to detail color light Symmetry and more to ensure the employees and clients felt at Home everything was at the peak of creativity and the factory staircase was there to prove it was the equipment to be custom made it already was everything was in place to rock the world it was time for sports cars to evolve into Super automobiles in

1991 the first and to be last Model in honor of the Brand’s 110th anniversary the Bugatti eb110 prototype was completed how would a heap of metal speed up to 100 kmph in 3.2 seconds everyone wondered but it was anything but a heap of metal with a carbon fiber chassis four

Turbochargers a V12 motor and 552 horsepower it was a masterpiece the EB 110 was Far be Beyond its time and so was its cost aroli was in 100 billion L debt on September 23rd 1995 the workers were producing the 139th EB 110 and that was the last day the blue Factory shown its

Lights the Grandeur of sports automobiles entices millions of people Bugatti was one of those Majestic cars going to the races was always an attractive option Northwest Italy is full of picturesque scenery however in the midst of all this heavenly Greenery lies a race track almost vanished Auto dromo Deale mon fat gently

Dominated by Nature was once the stage for many adrenaline filled races with its eight hair pin turns and 2.5 km of track it happen and Kevin Thomas Year got copy out of rolling roadblock for watch for the number three spot in 1973 it opened with the Great Hopes of

Attracting the attention of Motorsports fans from around the world initially the racetrack hosted Formula 3 races but the plan was to one day hold Formula 1 and Grand Prix races here but the inhabitants of the nearby Village Morano suo had other ideas tired of the squeal of the breakes the Roar of

The engines and the exhaust fumes they pressured the local government to Clos the track the legal feud between the villagers and the organizers lasted years The Winning Side can be deduced from nature reclaiming the abandoned tow as a slowly Vanishing track in the fall of

1976 the track saw its Flags fly for the last time and now nature proudly takes her Victory lap for all to see we’ve discovered the world of luxury automobiles but let’s take a look at the other side of the coin we journey on to see the last stop of ordinary

Cars we reach a mysterious graveyard in the Northern woods of Poland a car graveyard where the skeletons are are left to rot but the memories never Die who last heard the engine of this white L purr was a distressed father trying to get his daughter to school on time or a criminal running from the police where is its first owner did they ever think it would end up wasting away

Here the point is moot it is one of many abandoned this is the last stop of the ordinary car in this Dark Forest there are hundreds and they are not alone the moss in this region of Poland will conquer anything that falls to the ground even a metal Heap the forest’s

Mercy only goes so far there are differing rumors surrounding these cars left to rust in the arms of time one is that this is a forgotten car park for tarnished cars or a dumb site for total one nobody knows for certain for the residents of Warsaw it

Is a cursed sight it consists of tin metal that long ago needed to have disappeared the only thing it carries now are the rust particles that gently melted away whichever ever engineer once designed it there is no one now to replace its torn limbs with new ones any longer yet it

Resists but nature persists as well not many visit thieves who once came to steal their parts have vanished most are over 40 years old this pickup truck has been replaced with the new one this car’s owner is long dead but when will they disappear this human civilization

Probably won’t live to see it for it takes 500 years for them to disintegrate but the forest will reign supreme in the end it always does You’re we decided to continue visiting grave sites but officially this time we are in France what happens to retired official vehicles that have serviced people for years are they buried broken into pieces or maybe burned none of these can be called a pleasant end but in France the fate of the fire

Trucks is much worse for they are all abandoned in the middle of nowhere alone without even having their uniforms taken Off actually before being forgotten they were in a museum these vehicles in use since the 1900s were exhibited for a time but the roof of the museum collapsed and due to lack of funds couldn’t be replaced the fire trucks were then left to their Fates the lucky were placed in this

Warehouse the ones that couldn’t fit to the elements a dozen fire trucks of different ages now gathered dust the years they roam the streets of France long behind them prior to the proliferation of concrete block buildings Stone and wood were the materials mostly used in French Construction an easy target for

Fires these fire red trucks came to the rescue of many struggling to survive in times of natural disaster or accidents these trucks served on the front lines each one may be saving hundreds of lives maybe thousands of children alive today have these trucks to thank for their existence but new technology and

Changing needs call for more modern vehicles the most bitter part is that these trucks best friends have also forsaken them there is a foundation that is responsible for the upkeep of the trucks but they don’t receive enough support to visit them often it seems that officials

Have no plans for them either there is nothing in store but waiting to disappear maybe this is what the trucks want themselves the fate of deserted cars is there for all to see the new replace the old each car has a tie to someone but what of abandoned

Buildings at the end of the 19th century Machinery making paper from wood pulp had just been introduced into the European market a wealthy family was on the verge of setting up a modern Factory that would produce paper for European consumers for at least a century we come to the town of

Weissenbach in the Black Forest region one Afternoon in place of the paper Kingdom the family had once established lay only ruins while exploring the dark enigmatic layers of the factory we could feel the past seeping through its deserted Halls under the leadership of Eugen Holtzman a veteran of the Franco Prussian War the Holtzman family with a large investment opened the factory in 1883 state-ofthe-art Machinery was brought specifically the spiral casing Francis turbine produced by am voice and the first ever of its Kind at the height of production the factory broke all records it could produce close to 12200 M of paper a day this was an unprecedented amount But after 100 years of production the company could no longer cope with the free market forces of the 1990s and began to slowly dwindle as more players entered the game it became increasingly difficult to compete against multinational companies in an attempt to cut costs they downsized Personnel but to no

Avail a Finnish Swedish partnered forestry company bought the Holtzman Legacy in the 2000s only to close it soon after the factory and its over 100e history was left to Decay a decline from which there was no return began an unfortunate but frequent occurrence seen globally in production sectors as we stroll around the

Crumbling buildings we could picture in our Mind’s Eye the Heyday host to the bustle and activity accompanied by the Roar of the Francis turbine we imagined the workers hurrying to manage the mass production we could hear the footsteps of the busy laborers cutting the lumber or pulping the paper carefully watching over the

Machines the lingering image of a worker sitting in the breeze and gently puffing tobacco smoke during his lunch break but silence now seemed to be the arms that gathered the building unto itself it was as if we were in a forgotten time capsule The memories of the laborers who had once earned their living here was all but gone among the rusty machinery and dust piles departing the factory we all had the same question on our mind how many other factories have succumbed to the same fate the story of deserted factories affects the lives of

Thousands for this reason every abandoned Factory becomes a wreck where hope is buried we continue on to another large investment gone around ey the ceaseless rain a constant reminder of where we are on our journey to find traces of History we have visited many abandoned places some revealed stories beyond what

We could have possibly imagined what waited for us in the land of rain Germany’s stford city was an old train station expecting to find ordinary train cars and Depots we instead found traces of a battle stford was a repair and maintenance station but the starring role of this story was neither the

Trains nor the machinists rather rather the signs of battle itself there were traces of fear hidden at this station saved from the Nazis after World War II the reason for this fear was the nuclear threat during the Cold War communication between the west and the Soviets had ceased the firing of

Missiles setting off another conflict was only an order on a telephone call away thankfully the phone never rang but the almost 30 years of Cold War made it necessary to be constantly prepared for all possible Scripts every material everything we found here was a part of the scripts German officials

Debated their strategies here they wanted the trains ready for action at all times for soldiers there was no escaping trapped they would wait for death in case of casualties they would be retreated on the wagons the German state made the Train’s battle ready in case the railway was

Necessary some wagons were turned into Mobile hospitals each was rigged with state-of-the-art medical equipment according to the plan wounded soldiers would be brought back from the front line treated and then returned to their posts we want to see other areas of the Station our chaperon is an attendant for the friends of the railroads Association they are responsible for the upkeep of the station but the clouds that have been swirling over our heads all day seem to want to hinder our exploration we aren’t able to see the open areas of the station

The confidentiality once enforced by German bureaucracy is now allocated to Nature these wagons and locomotives now preserved by the Association are retired in seclusion it is time for us to take our [Applause] leave as we are departing the rain tapers off reinforcing our disqui about the site it seems that the station does not welcome disturbances now or in the years to Come our fourth day in a heatless desert we’ve seen little life but for a few camels we had heard of the kind of survival skills necessary to Brave this harsh environment everything else aside to forge ahead in the midst of this unknown one most certainly needed nerves of

Steel was the place we were headed worth these risks we did not know we still had distance to travel and a fourth night to spend in the freezing desert weather but we must not sleep because the Russian space shuttle base was close and we had to wait for Dawn to enter the

Site without drawing attention under the cover of pitch Darkness we managed to enter without any light we are close we had come for the space shuttles abandoned in the middle of nowhere it was time to witness if they had been sentenced to isolation and Disintegration we couldn’t locate the source of the noises that had left us panicked but we had found the Soviet space shuttles and all their glory and Beauty before us closed to civilians and insulated in the middle of the C kazakstan desert we discovered that the bonor space station held traces of the Cold

War after America the Soviets had built two shuttles to send to space here at this base but the race with NASA was shortlived the almost exact replicas of the American space shuttle soon became victims of apathy and lack of funding Lu and CD CD Andre crew is go okay

Scoter look it’s a great day to go fly on of the KC system tus 10 9 8 as we explore the base we discover there is more to it there is also a rocket we did not expect we learned that the Soviets produced this to carry more load but the load was never able to reach space the first and last launch from this site

November 15th 1988 was for a trial Flight even though it was successful the order for the official launch was never given in 1993 the shuttle named Baron and the entire facility was abandoned in the middle of this remote desert to crumble away

  1. When one visits these abandoned places, one definitely “feels” the history, the people, the events that happened there. Or is it just our imagination? Isn’t it just what we know influencing our senses, our perception? In any case, an experience you I don’t feel anywhere else. Any abandoned places you visited that you’ll never forget? In the meantime, enjoy 👻

  2. Like always, another world class documentary! Many thanks! 🙏

I have a question. Do you guys produce these documentaries or find them for us?

  3. I always laugh when i see people who think anyone has been to the moon, or space. I've never seen any realistic image's of space or the moon, but I'm sure the fakery will get better.

  4. Well done. Very well indeed. Thank you for this.

    Edit:
just realized, It's not over yet…just started the Bugatti factory tour..
Wow how can you top this ?! It's Just great!

  5. The narrator's unnatural voice made this doco lame! Who on earth talks like this tool? No one!

  6. Thank you all for your efforts, time, and efforts to show History as it is disappearing. I enjoyed the feel of permanence versus the quick passing of present-day plastics that are made to be thrown away.

  7. The narrator's over the top hyperbole and frequent innuendos of hauntings and dark history make this unbearable to watch. Too much, too corny, often entering eye-rolling territory.

  8. WE HUMANS UO TO NOW FAILING TO UNDERSTANDTHE VALUE OF HUMAN LIFE KILLING EACH OTHER FOR NO REASON AT THIS RATE WE HUMANS GIONG TO BE EXTINCT AN INTELIGENT RACE GOD SHOULD NOT HAVE GIVEN THE BRAIN AND INTELLIGENT THE PRIMATES ARE BLESSED THANK YOU SIR

  9. Super SPOOPY sounds and a narrator that sounds like an 8 year old telling a ghost story don't make this scary. They make it unbearable. I like abandoned stuff. If you don't have anything of use to say then STFU!

  10. The fact that we get free documentaries on YouTube by Free Documentary is truly a gift. 👏👏👏

  11. Deadliest Roads, Abandoned Places, Eastern Europe, Balkans, North Korea, West Africa, Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) [Earlier a part of Part of Soviet Union] – I always search for these keywords on YouTube. Thanks for making this masterpiece, hope to see more of this.
