This is Cru news today with Doug Parker good morning here’s your cruise news for Sunday December 10th here in Vegas for Rodeo week the cancellation policy for excursions booked through Celebrity Cruises has been updated now requiring guests to cancel no later than 48 hours before the ship’s arrival into Port that

Changes from the previous 24-hour window prior to the excursions the parture this adjustment aims to address the issue of guest booking multiple tours and then canceling some last minute a practice that has led to missed opportunities for other guests and the financial loss for other Shore Excursion providers now additionally certain specialized tours

Including those involving flights trains and overnight stays have a longer cancellation window of 30 days before the cruise departure it’s important to note that this policy does not impact independent shore excursions strictly ones booked through the cruise ship and princess crues has partnered with artist Romero Britto to introduce uce Love by

Britto a unique dining experience on the upcoming Sun princess now the art inspired meal on Deck 17 will offer a 7 course menu curated by Chef Rudy sodaman the $149 perp person dining fee includes menu items like lobster quail eggs and intoxicating aphrodisiacs like oysters with champagne pearls yes it really says

That the sun princess which is currently under construction in Italy will debut in February to sale the Mediterranean and finally a group of tourists fell into a Venice canal in Italy after their Gondola overturned an incident recorded and shared on Tik Tock this past week this happened near St Mark Square as

They ignored the Gondolier advice to remain seated and not take selfies while passing under the low bridge they didn’t listen they flipped the boat the video shows them clinging to the capsized Gondola or swimming to nearby boats in the chilly Waters now since 2020 gondolas have reduced passenger limits

Due due to concerns of overweight tourists with a maximum of 12 passengers per Gondola as it goes through the canal and the question of the week comes from John this week it says hi Doug not to get too personal but do you have a house because you’re always traveling it’s not

Too personal John thanks for the email yeah I do have a house I have a cat and a woman who keeps me grounded I I travel a lot because I recently lost my dad unexpectedly in 2021 at the age of 65 and uh he had a lot of trips planned

Before he passed he was actually doing um some cruises and a road trip to Yellowstone and places like that so his passing it taught me a lot it taught me to to love more to do more and to give more uh I’m not perfect but I uh try to

Be the best version of myself so I hope that answers your question and Cruise Line stocks were mixed on Friday Carnival Corporation up 1% 18.11 Royal Caribbean Al also up one 12.47 and Norwegian down a half .68 if you have a lead on a story you can send it our way tips Cru

  1. My dad died at 71 rather unexpectedly. I still miss him and my mom from time to time, even though it's been 20+ years. My wife and I are fortunate to be able to travel quite a bit, especially since we are both retired now. Love your Cruise Radio YouTube channel.

  2. I watch Cruise News nearly everyday and get a lot of information about one of the loves of my life; cruising. But what you shared about your dad passing and what you learned was awesome!! My dad died suddenly last month and I'm still trying to come to terms with it. He loved to travel, and I know this apple didn't fall too far from the tree. Thank you so much Doug. You're an inspiration in many ways!

  3. Doug, I love what you said about your dad's passing. You are right you need to do stuff before its too late and that could be any time!

  4. Thanks for the heartfelt video. Very sorry for your loss, I lost mine too ten years ago… Life changes forever after that but I really luv that you're honoring his memory through your travels and spreading his joy. Have fun in Vegas!

  5. Thanks for the insight into your personal life, I agree that is why I travel, we raised five children and sacrificed so we could travel one day, now we reached that point. Sorry here about your father, 👍

  6. Thanks for sharing a little of your personal life….I know your dad is watching over you and smiling…I lost both of my parents before 60….and for that reason we spoil the heck out of our niece, their only grandchild they never got to meet (and spoil) ❤

  7. I lost my sister (travel partner)in 2021 also and every chance I get I will be on a cruise ship, she loved to cruise but didn’t like to fly but still got her on an airplane now and then. She would not like to see me sitting at home and not traveling

  8. My dad passed at age 63 in 2001 and my mom passed 6 months later at age 61. I found a new purpose to travel more, love more and be the best husband and father I can be.

  9. Doug sorry for the loss of your dad and you definitely have the right philosophy which i am sure was passed onto you from Dad!!

  10. Doug needs more subs. He is one of the few daily videos I see every day for the great content and sincere news reviews. There isn't click bait or nonsense. Living in Amelia Island and growing up in Jacksonville I can relate to the hometown feels. Keep them coming Doug you do a wonderful job. Never stop travelling and exploring every corner of the world.
