Poderi dal Nespoli Prugneto Sangiovese di Romagna Superiore 2020

This is a genuine expression of Sangiovese from Romagna. Ruby red color with an lovely bouquet of red fruit. On the palate, this wine is fresh with notes of violet, cherry and plums. Very youthful and fresh, fine textured with juiciness. The finish is savoury with good length. Prugneto is the name of the single vineyard, which was the first vineyard bought by the Ravaioli family, founders of ths winery. Prugneto has gone on to become a reference for the wines from this region.

Michele Chiarlo Palas Barolo 2019

And it really showcases a totally different side of this wine making region of Italy you know Amilia Romania is not just about about Lambrusco they also have great things like this going on and it’s really showcasing that attitude within the glass now let’s get into this wine PTO is fun it means Plum

And I do get a nice plumy tone to this wine overall especially in its color but let’s get on to the nose Plum yet again but it’s mixed in with cherries little bit of Oak spice tobacco violets and cinnamon it is a Sano VES after all and there are some

Rules with sanesi always get violets with it let’s get on to the palette this Youthful Expression really gives you this kind of enigmatic energy that comes off of this wine there are tarte cherry notes in here little bit of cranberry but you get this nice earthy complexion to it right on the palette

It’s not super tanic it is quite fresh and fun with a delightful finish this is the wine that you can pair with some nice starters and it really showcases who it is in the glass this is the migelo peras bolo from the Pimon region of Italy that’s right we are staying in

Lot of wines with attitude our last wine for the day is the walking full red blend from the C suon Winery this is coming from The susum Valley in California you know there is an amazing wine Family behind this wine the Wagner family they have been making wine in

California since the 1880s and that’s the attitude that this wine is projecting as well as showcasing the ciss valley a place that is really starting to come back into its own just from the western side of Napa you’ll find the region of the Valley it has a great terar filled with rich soil

Windy Landscapes and a sun soaked terar and it’s an amazing place for making zendel and petite sarra which are the two grapes within this wine now I’m sure you’re probably wondering who the walking fool is on the front of the label and that’s a wonderful family

Story as well Jonah gloss is the person that’s affectionately called the walking fool here who is the great great grandfather of Jenny and Charlie Wagner who are the people behind this wine and their father Chuck Wagner started this Winery with them 50 years after they

Began cus now that’s a lot so let’s get into the wine itself this is another big and bold wine it’s not as dark as the previous it’s a little bit more Ruby toned overall but in terms of the Aromas you get this really nice Berry perspective which is coming from the

Zendel bright bright almost Jammy strawberries black currant and red currant berries Touch of Cherry in there with a little bit of this herbaceousness which is coming from the petite SRA balsamic olive and herbal notes which is really what’s delivering from that grape now let’s get on to the palette

M on the palette is where the petite SRA really shines you get this Great Dark Earth quality to it it tends to grab you and really place you in this sun soaked region I almost feel like I’m in the Sisson Valley there’s some nice Berry perspectives on here and a great
