Aww I wanted to see the stuffed garlic bread and the pasta dishes. It did look great, though.
The sweet potatoes did look great! Solo diners are better catered for now than ever, so it's a disappointment when one holds out like this – for visitors to NYC like me, it just gets scratched off the list because there's too much risk of not getting a spot at the bar. I dropped Café China for that reason on my last visit in 2017, though I was happy with the alternatives I picked.

Excellent review James. I have not had the pleasure of dining at Don Angie, but hope to do so after seeing your review. Years ago I live on Charles Street between W4th and Hudson and would frequent another place nearby called Piccolo Angolo on Jane and Hudson. Very fond memories. The owner's name was Renato, but he has passed away. I believe his son Peter and daughter Maria now run the restaurant. You might want to consider trying it in the future. Take care and keep up the great work.

The meat portion is very small imo though for a main even.

Great review James, and great job getting the last seat at the bar! I love this restaurants classic bistro decor and feel inside. The food looked delicious although i was eyeing that potato side dish lol ! So classy that provided the pear dessert and cocktail on the house. Well done!

You should start giving overall scores at the end out of 10 (or whatever rating scale you want)!!! Would bring it to another level! Do it using POINTS…Ex. 8.3…Or stars or something…Just to show how good the place is…Vids are good but would make them even better.
