Ticino lies in the Swiss Enclave on the border with Italy in Switzerland’s southernmost Canton, stretching from the main Alpine Ridge down to the Po valley in the north of Italy. Ticino is home to all the country’s vegetation zones, making it a Canton of tremendous contrasts, from palm trees to Glaciers the span of shapes and colors could hardly be wider. Like a mighty wall the Alps hold back the cold from the north, as a result the climate to the south is almost Mediterranean.

Good morning from PAPUA NEW GUINEA.
Palm trees in Switzerland? Those, and your mountain scenery & wildlife are remarkably similar to my area of Vancouver. ♥️Greetings from Canada🇨🇦
Gorgeous country and wildlife! Any documentary narrated by Susan Tackenberg is always worth watching.
