Broccoli and potato soup:
Saute chopped onions until blonde. Add broccoli and cubed potato, a litre of vegetable stock and cook until the potato is soft. Mix with a stick blender or potato masher for lumpier soup. Sprinkle with cheese and serve.
Kale and cannellini with sweet potato mash:
Saute onions in a pan. Add the chopped kale and cannellini beans and half a litre of stock. Let cook, stiffing often, until the kale is wilted and soft and the stock has becoem creamy. Separately, make mashed potatos with the sweet pototo (peel, cube, boil in water). Sprinkle wirh pecorino cheese and serve

I love the behind the scene extras 😊! I always wondered who was retrieving the camera or how the various angles were being captured.
I have arrived to also detest Christmas since moving to the USA about 20 years now from Europe. It’s absolutely hideous with all the shops blasting Christmas music for months and selling Christmas decor in August. I miss the way we did in Europe, a small tree with few ornaments and chocolate and oranges for gifts, even as a kid that made me the happiest. We have all the junk we need in our homes, most can afford to buy whatever they like whenever during the year, and hate that we are forced into gifting more at this holiday. Consumerism ruined what was a truly cute holiday with carols and family traditions for me.

I'm there with you regarding Christmas. It's never been a time of year thatI've found joyous or relaxing, so we, too, are just going to enjoy peace and quiet. Loved this "normal day"- it's endearing when I see others sharing the small things.

I love Christmas, but I hate it in the country I now live in, and it's probably bad because I do have a 7 year old who loves Christmas but yeah idk it's not the same.
