This is tbe thing. IH definitely stole from someone else to make the cave video, and it was right for him to be told off for it. What I don't appreciate, and this isn't really hbomb's fault it's the fans, is the labelling of IH as a weirdo who likes nazis. Taking the 420 bit and saying "oh that's a nazi thing" instead of saying "oh it's a weed thing" is just so bizarre. And he's made friends with OrdinaryThings, ManyKudos, Pyrocynical, Sumito, etc. I know IH has made some really unfunny jokes in old videos, but I think it's safe to say he's not an awful person. Regardless of that though, IH did plagiarise, please don't let him off the hook just because you don't like how parts of the case have been handled. We're not gonna cancel him or anything, just if he does it again then call him out.

I genuinely hope this didn’t scare him off the platform. He is the only actually funny YouTuber I know of. I will die if the comedy side of YouTube because nothing but Kurtis Conner and his clones or right wing jokes about transgendered people. Neither one of those are funny. I don’t mind Kurtis Conner and some of the clones but it’s more just light background noise content than anything that ever makes me actually laugh. Also the skits in Kurtis’s videos are always the dumbest things I’ve ever seen and just painfully unfunny. I usually just have to skip over those sections.

The Internet Historian should've given around 50% of the money he made from that video to the original writer of that article; he should've also asked him for permission to use his writing. It's very simple for me, I don't know why people like to overcomplicate things. If you have not done the research and written something yourself but only paraphrased a bit someone else's work, then it's not your work. Give credit where credit is due.
