When I first move to the south, I was so scared of the food. I grew up in New York, and I was teased from my husband's cousin who lived in the south about all the different foods, so unless I made it, I didn't want to try any new foods , it took me a good year before I let anybody cook for me. Now 30 years later absolutely love it don't get me wrong. I miss a lot of things from New York but the south definitely wins.

Southern cooking, creole and our coastal seafood…. is truly THEE BEST of "our culture". We are naturally just a mess of immigration and so blended in our cultures. But id say those three "areas" …. are the best representation of American food.
