As inflation in Argentina soared close to 100% in 2022, a 30-year high, people are doing whatever it takes to survive. Some barter online for pantry staples, and others ditch the peso to shield the value of their savings.

  1. It's funny how there's been little mention of the extreme left-wing, socialist policies dating back to the 1930s that successive governments have installed that's brought Argentina to where it is today. But yeah, mention some "right wing" party that's just a little further right of the leftists running Argentina.

  2. Honestly, I don’t feel bad for them. They voted for this and now can’t do anything about it because they gave all their rights and freedom to the government. Consequences of their own actions. The US is headed in the same direction, these politicians need to all go, they’re all professional scammers.

  3. The way I see this recession most likely has an external cause. The United States is losing influence as a federal currency for the first time in decades. They don’t have any economies to utilize or control their inflation, and less money is being spent on stock and oil trading than previously. They all lend credence to the hypothesis that a new multilateral world order may be in the works.

  4. It's hard to predict the future until we see this month’s inflation results. However, historical data consistently show that stocks tend to outperform bonds in the long term. Therefore, I'm staying in the market and focusing on selecting high-quality stocks. The challenge lies in identifying these stocks.

  5. This is what happens to a nation when the government subsidizes everything to keep people calm then pimps out the economy to line their pockets and hoard wealth in other currencies like euro and dollar and leaves their people to fight for the scraps acting like they care about them. Kirchner style politics tore this country to shreds. I couldn't wait to leave this place about two weeks after I got there.

  6. Welfare spending ruined Argentina. Unlike America, Argentina prints a useless currency. Argentina should be an emerging economy. But their attitude towards work is what keeps them poor.

  7. The biggest problem we have is that we rely on the system, it keeps us stuck in the system, we best to create our own system. Raise our own food. Get out of the system. Cities will become worse to live in. I’m an ex Zimbabwean, I lived in London, 2007 it was ok. Now London has just changed, it’s harder, hostile and expensive

  8. Why does a lot of traders also believe that inflation is an excellent time to invest across the financiaI markets? Even though treasury rates and other safer cash-like products are paying well. Though I'm not sure, I'm considering adding $390k to my st0ck portfoli0. I'm still at a crossroads deciding, Ideas please?

  9. It’s time to RESET the system a begin an actual just monetary system, ran by the people, with 💯 transparency, and never again given to a Government to handle as we can clearly see from all of history how those systems always come to an end due to greed and theft of those in control.

  10. You get used to it. It's a big deal but you go to bars and they are full, people go on vacations as usual, there are jobs, union fight for the salary not to get behind inflation, the welfare system works, people are obsessed with the dollar value as usual, but we are fine. People overreact mainly pushed by media but we are ok. If you watch this kind of reports, every country in the world has issues. And every country think they're in some sort of crisis. And Argentina is not Buenos Aires. And certainly Argentina is not the Capital City.

  11. EU QUERO QUE PIORE A SITUACAO. ELES SEMPRE FORAM RACISTAS COM OS BRASILEIROS, SEMPRE MENOSPRESARAM OS BRASILEROS. VOTARAM PARA ESSA MERDA DE COMINISTA ENTAO….. ELES MERECEM

  12. This will happen even worse in the U.S., as our debt is greater than all other nations combined. Our fall will be epic and history making.

  13. In my country Uruguay a lot of people go to Argentino because its very cheaper for the foreign people 😢

  14. Corruption + peronismo means decadent reality in Argentina's present. This has been this way for decades. I heard my grandmas tell me a thousand times the same thing, obviously it's gotten much worse

  15. The most important thing that should be on everyone mind currently should be to invest in different sources of income that doesn't depend on the government. Especially with the current economic crisis around the word. This is still a good time to invest in various stocks, Gold, silver and digital currencies.

  16. Today we got the same Minister of Economy running for President and 300% inflation of foods and $1000 exchange rate!

  17. 10 months later and the inflation rate has gone up to 144%. There is still 50% of the population that are eager to continue voting the same political party. Masochists .

  18. How sad it is to see such a beautiful country with beautiful culture go through such bad economic crisis. My heart goes out for mis hermanos. Abrazo desde 🇧🇷 ❤
