And now you know the *REAL* reason we went to Italy…to visit this stunning abandoned village that’s for sale in Tuscany. What a freaking dream this would be! We’ve done some pretty wild renovations but taking on an ENTIRE TOWN (yes you heard that right), with so many buildings and horse stables and a church and gosh olive trees and vineyards…this would be a HUGE undertaking. Not only that – this property was constructed in the 1700’s…WHAT THE HECK. SO are we moving to Italy to buy an abandoned village and turn it into something beautiful for the community??? Are we taking our love of real estate/investing/renovation INTERNATIONAL? Would any of you want to have your destination wedding here??? HIT THE COMMENTS TO LET US KNOW IF YOU’D COME VISIT?

There’s a show on HGTV about Lorraine Bracco from the sopranos buying and renovating a house in Sicily and it was really eye-opening to see how much goes into renovating something like that. I couldn’t imagine a whole village. Would be stunning though!

Wow!!! Breathtaking!! This would be a huge undertaking and yes, you would have to live in Italy while renovating but could you imagine what you guys could do with this?!? Y’all are so talented and would bring this village back to life.

Italy is so beautiful! I don't have Instagram, it was awesome seeing that village! It would take so much work to renovate the village, I don't know where you would start! Riding a horse would be fun though.

I love Italy and Mediterranean, but never travel too far from the sea, prefer Sicily or the heel! Maybe I am missing out..
Good thing is all EU citizens can live, invest or buy property in any EU state, that makes a chance for someone to snatch that village.

I believe Japan is having a similar issue with unoccupied housing in rural areas and government incentives to get people to move into them/renovate them. Maybe an idea for another trip.
Wow…although the price for the town is cheap compared prices in states. The renovation cost must be very expensive. But if you have the budget and will..go for it maybe not now but later. Love your post as always 😊.

Isn’t there a bigger abandoned village where you are essentially gifted a house if you’re willing to restore it in Italy? Maybe that’d be an alternative
