Del Castagno’s fresco is one of the best-preserved and influential Renaissance Last Suppers. Located in the former refectory of a nunnery in Florence, Italy, called Sant ’Apollonia, the painting exhibits various traditional elements typical of the subject, but also numerous innovations.
