The moment you leave Florence, Italy, you are deep in the Tuscan countryside and, if you’re heading south, soon entering the storied wine region of Chianti Classico. Here, we visited San Casciano in Val di Pesa, along with Greve in Chianti, where we tried many wines from some of the region’s top winemakers at the annual Chianti Classico Expo. We also dug into the origins of the Chianti Classico Black Rooster, which may be inspired by a rather compelling 13th-century legend. Grab a bottle of vino rosso and learn more about this exclusive wine region, which can be easily reached from Florence (even without a car!).

Chianti wine … Tuscan food … History … Bravo!
I want to go to the Chianti festival in Greve now!
Thanks and Chianti goes with lamb, veal, Tuscan-style sausages and beans, and of course Bistecca alla Fiorentina.
Very Nice
