As a struggling college student, this insider food videos always make me cry myself to sleep! They never fails to remind me of the harsh reality I face every day. A meager diet of plain water and simple bread becomes a bleak symbol of my financial constraints. It's a reflection of the circumstances I was born into, coming from a family with limited means. the barley coffee / caffé d'orzo comes from… well… fascism.
From 1935 to the end of WWII there was very little coffee as Italy was under embargo due to a war in africa decided by mussolini.
Coffee for the masses was then substituted with barley or chicory.

Whilst I understand its difficult to relay this in another language that isn't your first, I would appreciate if Claudia gave some oomph to her delivery. Even if she doesn't like the product, lets be honest mcdonalds is nothing compared to what they have over there, I would love to at least have SOME energy to it. Give some banter, some jokes, keep the wit that this show is known for.
