Should you salt your 🍝 “like the sea”?
The phrase “like the sea” may just have started as hyperbole to encourage cooks to season their water more, because the tendency is definitely to underseason. Or it’s just the beautiful poetry of Italian cuisine to imagine pasta flavored by the sea. Whatever it is… don’t take it literally.
Just like salting your food, proper saltiness really comes down to personal preference. Adding SOME salt to your pasta water before cooking the pasta is extremely important though because it’s the only time you can infuse the pasta with seasoning to enhance the dish.
Salt levels should be as high as possible without tasting outright salty, which for me was about 1 TBSP per Liter/Quart of water. But you’ll have to experiment and see what works for you.

Good test man another good video!
I hear various celebrity chef voices saying salt it like the sea lol now we can all tell whoever says that you're wrong.
Similar to gugas tempering steak experiment
That editing is so smooth
it's not 3.8% it's 0.38%, you miscalculated, of course it would be too salty. ‰ ≠ %
Your content is so good! Can't wait until you make it to the million!
Holy cow, dude! You're hilarious!!!! I've always been to chicken to taste seawater. it smells like dead fish and rotting metal.

Its the parmesan and then the salt transition for me
I appreciate how relaxed your tone and speed is. I think a lot of shorts try to grab the viewer’s attention with high tones or fast speed/editing so this was a refreshing change. Calm and nicely done 😊
We all probably sound like echoes right about now but that transition was awesome! 👌🏽
