I took at Café Florian….a gelato cup and a latte….with the music, silver plates…..exquisite…..and yes pricy but worth it……

Totally enjoyed watching your upbeat excitement in Venezia. I just returned from a beautiful European trip and 3 day stop over in Venice. I feel the thrill all over again. We seen much of your choices and also the evening at the church concert. Keep traveling
A basilica is a church that has been given a rank of distinction by the Vatican. A cathedral is also a type of church which is where a bishop has his seat/throne which is called a cathedra — which is Latin for seat and it is where the name comes from. St. Mark’s was not originally where the local bishop had his seat but later became a cathedral at one point.

I think Treviso is a great spot near Venice with airport as well. You can find a great apartment like "palazzina trevigiana" or "chiarano home" near the train station and then go by to Venice easily because are only 25 minute of train. Treviso is a super cool city as well, so I think is the best way to visit 2 great city in one trip 🎉
