Czechoslovakia was actually very close! 😀 Well except that it does not exist anymore, but Austria is just across the border so many varieties are grown on both sides.

Welschriesling isnt Riesling, totally different grape and origin. Generally Austrian sweet wines are more sweet and less acidic than German sweet wines. Great tasting 👍
I watched this while drinking a Chateau Margaux 1988. I hope you all have a chance to try some aged Kracher Trockenbeerenauslese vintage wines soon.
I would recommed Sauvingon Blanc from Styria (Steiermark) from producers like Tement.
"I want zero texture, zero acid.. just give me a really good glas of rain water". I understand an outside opinion of somebody who has no knowledge about wine, but thats just useless in my opinion. Sorry!

Dorli Muhr has some of the most interesting wines from Austria i have ever tried. Will always try to have one on my wine list, at the moment its her base white from the same vintage, super layered as well.
