Cantucci are the most traditional biscuits from Tuscany, made with flour, eggs and almonds.
they are an excellent after-meal snack typically accompanied by a glass of Vin Santo, a popular Italian dessert wine.
Recipe
320 g all purpose flour
220 g powdered sugar
3 eggs
1 egg yolk to brush the cantucci before baking
130 g raw almonds
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon honey
vanilla extract
orange zest (1 orange)
Bake for 15 minutes at 190 °C, cool them for 10 minutes, cut in small pieces and cook again for another 6 minutes.
