  1. I always find it interesting when men in comments sections on every Sopranos video loathe and detest Carmella. They call her a gold digger, and they bring up her "cheating" on Tony, and it's usually a good indicator of what kind of men they are and how they perceive women overall.

Carmella was a good wife, and a good mother. She sat back and endured Tony's serial philandering for decades. Also, the materialistic aspect of her personality is only the lifestyle she was accustomed to because Tony was more than happy to provide it with blood money. His family was spoiled, but they were spoiled because he spoiled them. He did equate love with money.

Also, Tony's money and status was a means of control over Carmella. We saw that when they were briefly separated. He was totally the type that wouldn't want his wife having a career or professional life of her own. He didn't want Carmella to have any independence financially. Even with the spec house he came looking for his cut.

I always found it odd that so many men who are fans of this show degrade Carmella for a couple of flirtatious friendships with other men, and one hookup while they were separated and heading towards divorce, while not scrutinizing or judging Tony for the numerous affairs he had with over a dozen women. We saw him cheat constantly, so we can safely assume there were more side pieces than what we saw on camera.

People hate her for spending the blood money, while rooting for Tony as he earns the blood money. It has always been an interesting double standard to me.

  2. I think Carm's hottest fling was with the spec house. The only 'affair' that was brought into the shared Soprano bed.
    Thanks for another great video!

  3. Wow! I never noticed that Carmelo was humming that same song, do you think that Tony acted out in a way subconsciously because of that?

  4. Just discovered this channel and I love it. I enjoy your perspective on what I consider the greatest show in TV history. Thanks 👍🏿

  5. Carmela was just as much of an infidel as Tony, only her affairs didn't really need penetrative sex. She is immature and still somewhat childish, so her crushes are treated as a teen girl would. Tony only loved one mistress. (I'll let you discuss which, but it is only one.) Carmela loved Furio and had sex with the weak, creepy teacher.

  6. One I think was under the radar but insinuated was the tennis instructor “I didn’t even know you were married” 😊

  7. Great content as always. Carmela deserved a lot better than Tony and she put up with a lot.

  8. I think you have this emo where you manipulate spirituality thirsty tube viewers. I think a lot of it is tied up with food for thought somehow as well as the thought tension game.

  9. Although nothing ever happened, you could tell that Carmela was attracted to Ed, the tennis instructor (Mr. Ruggerio's Neighborhood). I think that if he had shown interest in her, Carmela would definitely have reciprocated.

  10. The thing is with Carmela’s relationship with the teacher was she thought she can have a relationship with a normal man, which we find out she can’t.

She isn’t a good person just like Tony isn’t a good person. Remember that therapist that completely destroyed her morality, well he was absolutely on point.

She blamed Tony for Furio running off (just like the wallpaper guy), she got depressed and ended it with Tony right after that drunken phone call from Tony’s Russian ex. She was fighting with herself at that point to stay with Tony seeing him as this criminal when she herself was with him all these years and not complaining when the cash comes in.

I love that scene where Tony gives it to her in the Resteraunt.

“The only reason you have anything is because of my fucking sweat you knew every step of the way where the money comes from, you walk around in that mansion in your five hundred dollar shoes and diamond rings and you act like butter wouldn't melt in your mouth, you don't want it to get ugly? Too late “

Then she says I want what I’m entitled to. Tony says you’re entitled to shit lol

Carmella is materialistic and stuck around for the money, she knew about his cheating and she cheated as well instead of just leaving Tony.
