Join me in today’s discussion as we take a break from the usual topics and delve back into the most anticipated world of the mafia, courtesy of Bill O’Reilly’s book “Killing the Mob.” I typically don’t dive deep into mob-related literature, but this book piqued my interest. Bill O’Reilly, known for his sharp insights, has penned an exceptional piece of work. His meticulous research and no-nonsense approach make this a must-read. In “Killing the Mob,” he delves into the shadowy world of organized crime, and there’s a lot we can discuss. Stay tuned for some fascinating insights from the book that I believe you’ll find captivating.

  1. You have to distinguish between myth and reality. Myth: Godfather/Sopranos. Reality: Gomorrah/Tommaso Onofri. I'm fascinated by true crime, but hold no illusions.

  2. I think the fascination comes from the fact that the mob was powerful, secretive, and many times shown to have traditions and honor. At least that’s the way I see it. Some mob guys were pretty ordinary but some were also interesting people.

  3. The ones I talked to are perverted weirdos. Not worth talking too. So into themselves but are losers. I don’t see nothing great about it.

  4. Hi~ Mr Franzese. Congratulations on your new grandchild Greetings from the Chinese ❤

Reminds me of a movie plot Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps (2010)

  5. My fascination with the Mafia started as a kid, since my mother's family originated in Sicily and my grandparents on that side told us stories. Over the years of course the films about it are captivating, and nowadays, listening to stories from guys like you, Mikey Scars, Anthony Ruggiano, Sammy the Bull, for me its about the outlook. The attitude of respect, the way you treated people, people could learn a lot from Cosa Nostra mentality. Not the criminal behavior of course, but just the principles of respect, loyalty, and responsibility. Actions have consequences.

  6. I praise you Sir for being able to see life on the other side of the wall something I experienced myself by being part of Italian mafia (I am Greek) years ago and run away after seeing in 18 months what it was all about. Please keep educating people.

  7. My father told me about those hearings in 51. But I didn't know was about the Sen. And also that they did a tour in different cities. I thought it was only NY. Great sit-down. Thanks 👍

  8. I didn’t think Americans can go to Cuba? I’ve been years ago. It was really nice and I had a good time but the poorest place I’ve ever been

  9. Great segment, Brother. It may be the case that Vito Genovese' family was part of the Italian nobility? I am not sure if the past masonic lodge P2 was part of the activities in Italy and the U S.? They are both listed as my cousins on one of the genetic services. My YDNA line is Italian nobility – Gerardi nobility family of Venice and Naples kingdoms, my mother's paternal line is Greek nobility from the Petrocochino and Mavrocordatos families. I do have Visconti and other Italian nobility relatives on both lines. Savoy family just on my mother's side. I am assuming the Genovese' family, through Vito Genovese himself, to pursue Italian interests internationally. I am sure the Savoy dynasty and P2 masonic lodge was involved in some manner. I am not sure today if that is the case. There is a Vatican group but not sure what is going on with them? I read somewhere that Vito Genovese met with Mussolini but most likely this was for supporting Italian interest in United States. There is a secret cabal in the Vatican and I am looking to see what comes out of the synod of synodality conference. In the United States, the historical distrust of Catholicism is deep rooted deriving from the conflicts in Europe between Catholics and non-Catholics. The previous is most likely part of the reason for the fascination of the (Italian) mafia. Catholics were considered the other and were excluded from jobs which forced underground economy activities. Irish and Latin American population were forced into these activities to include the Italian community.

  10. Michael your story and faith has given me hope!!!!! Being a Puerto Rican raised in NYC and have a daughter is such a blessing! Your life is a blessing and again thank you for the inspiring stories!! Congratulations on Jet!!!! He is handsome like you!!!! ^_^!!!!

  11. Michael I got threatened by luigi carrozzi and tom fenlon when I went to my daughters house luigi tried to marry me ..after the day we all went to my daughters wedding and laura gave luigi a mouth and now I am being left alone demons told me

  12. Great channel, very inspiring life story. All things possible with Jesus!!

Mr Franzese, have you read Robert Lacey's book on Lansky? The story on lanskys son is heartbreaking, how he starved himself to death in basically a welfare facility. Hard to have much respect for Lansky if Lacey's work was true & accurate… have you done a video addressing that topic? If not, would you (if you have any info to share)?

  13. Delighted for you and your family. God bless. Best wishes and sending you and yours, the luck of the Irish. Grainne Ireland xxx

  14. I have been so intrigued about the mafia life ever since I was younger but since being from Canada.. I would love for you to make a video of your thoughts or what you know based on the canadian based mafia. Now that would be cool! Also keep doing amazing love this channel and thank you❤️

  15. The tiny little pants and top on your grandbaby ❤ awwww so adorable ❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

  16. The mob was beneficial for society when the government wasn’t able to control social aspects of the people maybe they can help us out in todays world

  17. Congratulations Micheal on the birth of your grandson, hope mother and baby are well, I am from London and from an early age always had an interest in the mafia, I've read and watched so many things about the life it amazes me, yes like you and many more made men talk about the sad, negative, distructive, effects of the life, but for me it's the intelligent way it was structured, the power, a well known saying about how so many families or individual men could have ran many legal corporations, look at the order it kept in most major cities, like you Micheal I'm not glorifying it, as you have honestly told of the distruction it caused your own family, but that shortly is my thing about the mob, who doesn't like the films, wow,.? Wishing you and your family all the best for the future. 🙏

  18. My Fascination with the mob is just from the stories and even movies and stuff was how the mafia were pretty clever and brilliant with the way they did their crime and were able to do it for so long. Also members knew there could be a death penalty if you made the wrong decisions. So im also fascinated with the guts the members had. If that makes sense. Congrats on your new grandson! Keep doing what you do.

  19. Nevermind nevermind I live the life I left behind. Been watching Michael for almost 2 years now will still continue to.

  20. How can you ask this question 😂 That is why you make $ on here. Be glad, and always follow the party rules, or eventually they'll RUIN YOUR LIFE.

  21. People are fascinated with the mob for the same reason they're fascinated with zombies and the apocalypse. The way society is set up sucks and people can't wait until the day they can actually live freely and do what they really want. Mobsters embody the idea of someone bucking the system and doing what they want .

  22. Congratulations sir on receiving another grandson. He looks beautiful. You are blessed sir for I am nearly 40, and no child here. I feel I may be like Father Abraham and have to wait LONG until I receive my kid.

  23. Minnesota Fats called the gambling life B.K. and A.K. Before Kefaufer and After Kefaufer. Because he couldn't go after Cosa Nostra, he went after low level gambling.

  24. I'm an Asian. A Filipino to be precise. Most of the people here don't have the interests to watch, read, or know things about the Mafia underworld.

One of the reasons why I got so hooked up with these was when I watched Goodfellas and Godfather. My uncle from my dad's side, is fond of these films (he died last 2 years) and I only realized last year why he was so hooked up to it back when I was a kid is because of how they worked. The gritty dealings the mobsters face and the dance with death each second of their lives are the reasons why people have this fascination with them.
