It is so sad and painful to see San Francisco become this. San Francisco was beautiful. Now it is not beautiful everywhere. I remeber when former Mayor Edwin Mah Lee was the Mayor of San Francisco, San Francisco became better and better very soon, and it was reallly good. I alway heard the city was improving on something in the news. I liked San Francisco before. There are a lot of good people in this city. I hope the things will be good soon. That beautiful San Francisco will come back soon. A good and intellight Mayor can make a lot change a lot and is very important. Wish San Francisco the best!
LOL – "optimism from city leaders", they were the dim-witted engineers of this whole debacle. Restaurants are closing because people are afraid to go downtown, it's too late for the mayor's lip service. The real problem is that SFPD is too short-staffed and hamstrung by city hall to address the problem even if they were allowed to. So the one REAL option – restoring law & order isn't even available unless the green-light the cops and spend millions on overtime pay. All the cheery talk and financial incentives will fall flat when hoods and dope addicts roam free to pilfer and maim. At least Seattle is giving it a try, maybe they'll have better luck.
