Italian Food Tour at Sant Ambrogio Market in Florence, Italy Video
Transcript:
Hey guys welcome back to our channel. Weβre Nick and Anna and weβve been traveling full time since 2022, exploring the world one destination at a time.
Weβd really appreciate if youβd like and subscribe if youβre enjoying the content here, or if you just want to follow along with our travels.
We typically stay in a place for about a month, and this time we have a treat for you. Weβre in our favorite city in Italy: Florence!
In this video weβll be exploring the authentic Sant Ambrogio market in Florence with our friend Ileana, and taking a trip out to Tuscan wine country.
Florence is our all time favorite city in Italy, being centrally located and full of culture and things to explore.
This week weβre at the Sant Ambrose market in florence, the oldest market in the city. We absolutely love coming to this gathering place full of colors, flavors, and fragrances.
Here, itβs always easy to find what youβre looking for. Thereβs fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, cheeses, and youβre always greeted with a buongiorno and a smile.
While you typically wouldnβt think to go to a market on your holiday, this market has some of the most fresh produce you can find in Florence, and 100% worth the visit.
Ileana is an expert in the Sant Ambrogio market, and was gracious enough to show us around. She does tours of this market almost daily and does cooking classes using the produce found here as well.
This is definitely a place where one can do shopping the old fashioned way.
While we really enjoyed the outside of the market, with all its fruits and vegetables, we needed to make our way inside to really experience the rest of it.
The inside of this amazing market had both of our mouths watering. It smelled so good around every corner we turned.
After leaving the market, we had to stop at our favorite bakery in the city, Leonardos. Whenever we were hungry we would go here, buy a half a pita, and dive in. The food here is exquisite and not something to be missed when visiting Florence.
Since we were in Florence and centrally located in Italy, we were able to make some weekend day trips. in our next few videos, weβll show you around Cinque Terre, Pisa, Rome, Verona, and more.
This is part of our Travel in Italy video series showcasing Italian food, Italian culture and Italian cuisine.

No Italian will be buying meat and drinking a glass of wine.
Neither in France.
This is not Disney land.
