After being quite impressed by Il Mulino’s Italian offerings we decided to continue our journey to find the best Italian Restaurant in Walt Disney World by taking a ten minute walk to the Boardwalk. We’ve previously had spectacular experiences eating breakfast at Trattoria al Forno but dinner had always eluded us. Many Walt Disney World fans appreciate the cuisine here and consider it better Italian food than what’s available at Epcot. We provide a full tour of the restaurant, going over the story that encapsulates the dining experience, the architecture and provide detailed reviews on some of their most notable dishes. At the end we go over our thoughts, comparing our experience here to Il Mulino’s and seeing if Trattoria al Forno became our favorite Italian Ristorante in Walt Disney World.

  1. Thanks for the great video once again. I’m not too familiar with the broadwalk restaurants. Love the stories you bring us with your videos. Sets you apart from other vloggers and I really like that. TFS.

  2. Thanks so much for the thoughtful review! It was great to hear your feedback on the pizza in particular! We are staying at Beach Club soon, and I was wondering if I should take my kids here for pizza on arrival day rather than try to get a reservation at Via Napoli and take up time on an EPCOT day.

  3. I agree with your assessment that I'll Mulino is the better Italian option. I love Trattoria for breakfast bit I definitely go with IL Mulino for dinner. I very much liked the arancini and would maybe do Trattoria if I just wanted some appetizers and a glass of wine.

  4. I prefer I'Mulino as well. Its more authentic Italian and the service is always good, and they have lemoncello at the end of your meal.

  5. Another great review! I’m Italian and in North Jersey (NYC metro area) so this speaks to my heart ❤❤ detailed and amazing review always! Question: Favorite Gelato on Disney property? Thanks guys!

  6. Great video and congratulations on 1,000,000 views. You guys are great and deserve so much success!!

  7. Thanks for another great video! I love that you are doing the "Italian series" of food :). Would you say Il Mulino is worth it for just pizza, appetizers and drinks? Truly enjoyed the video 🙂

  8. When I went we asked for bread and they gave us amazing bread with a dipping oil that had whole cloves of roasted garlic.

  9. Thank you for your honest review. We were there just 2 weeks ago and I told my hubby I didn't like it. I was born and raised in NYC/ NJ. I just know… I told him you guys were not gonna like it. We will be going to Mulinos next time. A good pizza is when you can fold it and walk with it. Maybe even use a napkin to pull up all the grease.

  10. Nice review! It's nice to see the menus coming back. The last time we ate there it was during or shortly after covid times and there were no menus.

  11. Thanks for the review! My family is from Long Island as well and we definitely know what authentic Italian tastes like! We dined here in January and we did receive a bread service with a delicious garlic infused oil. I think my husband asked so maybe you need to request it?! We are going back next month so I guess we will see! Italian families know you need that bread to soak up the sauce!

  12. It shows how ignorant I am of Italian food (and culture) that I had to look up what ‘Trattoria’ meant in order to find out why it’s included in so many Italian restaurant titles 😂 I love the open kitchen design, with the chefs bustling about! I’m with Jay on sauce ratio, although I know he likes a more savory sauce while I prefer a sweeter one – we both need a saucy pizza. Sounds like Il Mulino probably keeps the crown, there! Shame that the chicken parm didn’t “wow” here, but dessert looked like a big win! Definitely nice to have a sliding scale of casual vs dressy dining near the parks and the resorts. Another one to try….someday! 😁 Thanks for sharing, guys!
