  1. I want to recommend a book to Nick thats about death rituals around the world, it touches on cannibalism, animal sacrifices in todays world, the beliefs around treating the dead. Its called "From Here to Eternity" by Caitlin Doughty!

  2. I'd 100% watch that movie that Nick Rufca made the screenplay for. I actually had a conversation similar to the topic about how a lot of Americans (and others but I live in the US, so can only speak to that) are really disconnected with where their food comes from. Like one time I was talking about how like the cows that make wagyu beef are taken care of and how you get the certificate and everything, people got uncomfortable, and I'm like, but you eat meat. I think it's another way like capitalism and consumerism is separating us from the earth :/ but also everyone is on their own journey.

  3. Nick is amazing. I always love having him on and getting to hear from him. He's got such an interesting perspective.

  4. Rainie how did you go to Tufts and never see the ghost tours all around downtown Boston?!

  5. Somebody make Nick's screenplay into a movie like right meow cuz I'm jonesing for it! Love Maggie, Matt and Rainie but I miss Becky's beautiful glowing face and sunny disposition. I hope she is enjoying her time off and comes back soon!

  6. Ok y’all I came all the way from Spotify to yell WHERE THE BLEEP IS BECKY thank you for your time I’m going back to Spotify now

  7. If you have any interest in Nick’s manuscript, mainly the focus on the treatment of animals I highly recommend “Drive Your Plows Over The Bones of The Dead.” It’s very good, the meaning is kind of hidden so you really have to think about it but I think it was also made into a film called Spoor

  8. Lol they’re talking about being starstruck when seeing celebs, as though I (we) wouldn’t be just as starstruck seeing them ❤ I would be so excited to meet anyone of them in the wild

  9. Nick’s screenplay is giving me Midsommar vibes and I’m obsessed! I would gladly watch it, the topic is so interesting.

  10. What were the recipe websites mentioned? I don’t think the captions picked them up

  11. I love listening to Nick talk about producing and planning, especially the cannabis dinner. So cool

  12. FYI, I think Rainie meant Mise en PLACE 😅👍🏼 which means you gather all your measured and prepped ingredients before starting to cook, like how cooking shows do it, and also restaurants (sorta)

  13. Need to change the title of this pod – bring in the horror genre, bring in Zach's party. I always miss Ariel and Becky but I love the try staff and they are doing a great job. Rainie does such a great job with the podcasts especially.

  14. I love how most of them are talking about being star-struck as though they themselves aren't to a degree famous. I would totally fanboy meeting any of the try-guys crew because I love all their personalities and love the company as a whole.

  15. You cannot 'humanely' kill an animal that doesnt want to die.
(for food anyways, pets being put down at old age because of pain is very different).
