We’ve spent a few weeks over a couple of trips to Ischia, read all the blogs, bought some guide books, (DEFINITELY buying the guidebook with the bus route map in it when you arrive), and learned a lot from trial and error and talking to locals. That’s how we came up with the best things to do on the island of Ischia.
We’ve gone during the off-season and at the end of high season. This video is from the beginning of September. I would even suggest going in mid-September when everything seems to still be open, weather is great, and you’ll have a bit fewer tourists. August is a tough month because, in Italy, it’s when shops shut-down for the Italians to take a vacation. I’d avoid Italy in August as a general rule.
