As third generation Italian off the boat… This is accurate if you say it In english or Italian. You will leave that house with left overs and not know either to be sick or thankful
Italians are happy to see you try learn their language. French just assume you are supposed to know it perfectly and get offended when that's not the case. Don't matter much cause there's not much reason to go to France over Italy. Weather is better, landscapes are better, food is better, wine is better, people are nice and it's less expensive too.

can confirm, my italian friends love hearing me say italian phrases and teach me a bunch of stuff ussualy swear words or offensive stuff for fun.
My mother speaks very basic French and when we went to Paris everyone was so kind and happy to help and speak to her 😂
