We went to the Linate airport using the new metro line in Milan and explored a side of the city we don’t usually visit.

Question- is the tram free? I ask cause I have seen you tap your metro card for the train but not for the tram (granted you probably just didn't show but just wanted to know).

It's a quite a technical 'slang' and just transport nerds know its meaning.
Definitely not a good idea to put it on signage if no one understands, It's difficult to make it understandable in few words though

8:26 Malpensa and Orio al Serio are a long way from Milan. But Malpensa, Bergamo and Linate are Milan airports because they belong to the same company named SEA. SEA's largest shareholder is the municipality of Milan.
