Italian Pasta: The Best Life Skill
Am I dramatic for claiming that? Yes. But do I also think that homemade pasta is superior to all other pasta? Also yes.
One of the things I really wanted to do while in Italy was to take a pasta class. And clearly I did just that. It was such a fun experience and I highly recommend it to everyone. We booked one through @airbnb with a Rome local that runs sessions out of her old apartment kitchen. Fortuna was the sweetest lady and the entire night felt like cooking with your Italian mom/grandma.
We learned to make 3 different pastas and sauces:
🍝Fettucine with marinara sauce topped with stracciatella
🍝Spinach & ricotta stuffed ravioli/tortellini with a butter sage sauce
🍝Farfalle with a fresh basil pesto
And to end the meal, we made a chocolate gelato 🍫🍨
Needless to say, I was in a food coma afterwards.
